Maxime Bernier can't think of a CBC show... well neither could most Canadians for that matter, which is kind of the point I think is of essence that he's trying to make.

Half of all Canadian journalists are at CBC. Diversity much? If Canada is really about diversity, break up this monopoly. At this point, CBC looks like a propaganda machine you would find under fascism. Half of all Canadian journalists at CBC. Half. Honestly I don't think canada cares much about intellectual diversity. Why do tax payers have to pay for cooking shows? It is a good question and you should be able to answer. I really don't think that much of CBC is even constitutional. Where in the constitution grants the government the power to fund cooking shows?
He's right to remove CBC funding. Maybe when the CBC first came out I believe in the 40's it made sense, but it's out grown it's usefulness with our current technology. Anyone can find any info relatively easy without a state broadcaster. If certain people want it let them pay for it. I don't want my tax dollars going to no essential services.
Just sell it, make it private like ctv, global etc.

There is no white genocide as Europeans make up the majority of Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand's population.
À genocide would require a systematic procedure to DECREASE the population by FORCE.
Immigration is not genocide and a voluntary low fertility rate is not a genocide either.
No one is forcing you to sterilize yourself, no one is forcing you not to have kids and no one is killing you.

Me too, he did a piece on an American centrist online interview show and now he's everywhere. UA-cam is pushing it because it stays to trend. I think he was in the Rubin report. He ready to go for PM now, had representatives everywhere now, and reached his funding goals without special interest groups. He is actually doing what he said he was going to do and his message hasn't changed to speak to more voters. Got me excited, i stopped voting after Chretien and now I'm listening to every debate I can find to hear if other candidates have answers or conviction. This guy could make it, he may have my vote and many others.

Notice how 22 Minutes Videos get many more thumbs down in most of their videos? I guess with a success rate like that, they could only survive subsidized by 1.6 billion in taxpayer dollars.

I am not really sure what to about this as an American. I kinda like my PBS Station the way it is. Educational with some shows like American Experience and NOVA as well as news programs life Newshour and Frontline. No need for shows that look like that they belong to a privatized channel to broadcasting ones like NBC, ABC or CBS, and cable TV like TBS, Comedy Central, and many others.

Mark Critch, Rick Mercer...and a good many other so called comedians wouldn't have a career without the tax payer funded CBC.
Why isnt he giving ideas instead of shutting down the whole business. Cant think of originality yet criticizes attempts, a true politician. I watch 22min and Mr. D and am very Happy with the programmings. He can sit on his pile of money from bell/rogers/american channels.
