If Bernier had been made leader of the CPC my guess is he'd be PM right now.
If if had not been a prima donna and done what he always has when he did not get his way he would BE the next leader of the CPC. But once again he demonstrated he is unable but to do anything but put himself first.
@@matthewq4b Learn some rudimentary history about the guy. He played nice with the Conservative party as one of the team for 12 years of his political career. Once he saw the direction Scheer and his cronies were taking the party he got out of there and formed a principled alternative.

He did the same thing in the law firm in which he was employed and was passed over for named partner. What did he do? jump ship. When he was in the Bloc when he was not awarded a nomination what did he do, jump ship. In the Conservatives where he managed to screw up every ministership he was given (Apparently keeping track of a briefcase exceeded his capabilities) when he lost the leadership what did he do? Jump ship. That is ALL Bernier has done his WHOLE career when he did not get his own way. I think YOU need to learn some basic history about him.

My 10 year old son was the only kid in his school that "voted". PPC in their mock election. I'm proud of him.

Alex 1 No. They didn't disclose who the kids voted for to anyone and they told the kids about voting privacy and to keep their votes to themselves. My son told me he voted PPC ..just like I did. He knows he was the only one out of 500 because they announced the number of votes each party got.
Frankly I am not comfortable at all that they ran this exercise for elementary students ...and they did this in other schools in calgary too. I was watching very closely and believe me if some teacher or others had any issue with my sons choice ...I would take serious issue with this and I would meet the Principal, write a letter to the board and even consider legal action. I'm well aware of the political bias of my local school board and like I said...I don't like that they ran a vote for the kids because I assume they are using it as data to see how effective kids are being brainwashed and what political choices they make....definitely they would be concerned if several kids voted PPC...time to up the political brainwashing they do to max power.

The PPC is a libertarian on most things and I only see a little trumpian on immigration but most of the stuff he’s advocating are things that Ron Paul and Jo Jorgensen talk about. Sure I don’t agree with him on everything but he does make sense on most issues.

Max is 100% correct. Ignorant comment from the interviewer that the solution was for CPC to be more centrist, if they did that then they'd be exactly like the Liberals and in that case why not just have a CPC leader join liberals?
It's called Eastern Canada, mostly liberal or centrist. You don't need to be "liberal" you need to be fiscally conservative and socially moderate. Max went to a pride parade, Max voted on the transgender bill, he is more socially "liberal" than Scheer was.

I support Max, if he tones down his rhetoric at times, keeps spreading the message of unity, bold reforms (no other party even comes close to his), and shows real leadership on issues, he has a chance. He has shown to be a bit petty and childish at times, like when he went after Greta, his message could have been the same without name calling a 16 year old... little tweaks here and there and he may get there.....Buon Chance!
