A lot of us don't see it that way. A lot of us plan to vote Bernier, know tons of people who will do the same. And watch UA-cam videos on this subject, there is overwhelming support for Bernier. I think he can do it. I also think he may bring in some disenchanted Liberals (Trudeau has created a lot of those).
JS as much support as he has gained I don’t think it will be large enough to do anything. It’s a bold move.
+Nothing to see here actually English is taught in schools throughout Europe. Most young Europeans have at least a basic understanding of both spoken and written English. Certainly better than any country outside Europe, North America and Oceania. I would want to emphasize immigration from these areas. They come from similar cultures, assimilation will be easier.

I like this guy and I am a recent Canadian citizen. He is not anti-immigration but pro controlled immigration which is fine and his fiscal policies are responsbile as well.

I'm kind of wondering if CBC isn't turning out to be another FOX News, you guys are sounding like them more and more. I am one happy peoples party of Canada member max 2019.
Max is standing up for canada. He is standing up for true conservative values. As a FORMER pc member I can say when max lost the leadership race thr pc party lost me. Why? The pc party abandoned their values for votes in quebec among dairy farmers. Scheer went in to quebec and said yes we will keep supply management as long as you vote me. Heres money for a pc party membership vote me. Scheer won by a slim hair of votes all of which were in question.
How do we stand behind a party leader when hes willing to be bought and buy votes. Not only that, hes willing to sell out the auto oil fotestry and energy sectors for dairy egg and poultry farmers, all 10,000 of them. If you value your job and want a new car some time in your lifetime or be able to buy gas for your old one youd choose max.

Trump is ready to lay the hammer down on all sectors because hes tired of subsidizing his own farmers oversaturated in milk poultry and eggs. The quebec dairy industry had many members enlist just to get scheer in. Maxime has been standing up for true conservative values for years and he lost to a new comer relatively. Yes andrew can argue trudeau really well but also can maxime. You truly didnt do your reseasrch. How about the nearly 7500 votes that were in question during final round of voting? Andrew only won by around 7000. Its all fishy. And a true conservative does not censor speech and journalism. Why did andrew kick out rebel media?

I have been a true card-carrying Conservative for years and, as a matter of fact, have worked on campaigns off and on over the years so please don't pretend to know about me and my party beliefs. You state Max has been standing up for true conservative values for years? Really? Then obviously you haven't done your research as you stipulate. He wasn't always a Conservative! Don't believe his Wikii online; it's been tweaked to reflect his current wishes he plans to spread to people like you for in an attempt to sway people like you. Being a former Quebecker I do know more than you think. Max was at one time interested in the Bloc but since he said NO to their referendum, he showed his support for the ADQ (Action démocratique) and then showed interest in other parties. I choose to support him due to his stance on immigration, gun laws, healthcare and most importantly a free market. If andrew stood up for the beliefs of conservatives and not the lobbies that donate to the cpc i would still be a member. But the truth lies in the fact that the national conservative party only has so much money in its bank because of lobbies interest groups and foreign entities donating. If the conservative party wants voters for its cause it would institute a government payables and recievables archived index tbat gets updated at the minimum annually. Transperancy in government is what we want and were tired of having to pick from the same three headed dragon.

100% agree with his stance on immigration. My family came here 20yrs ago and adopted Canadian values. It was/ is a privilege to be Canadian. I feel with our current PM this is not the message that is being sent to new immigrants.
Seems like Liberal media trying to bait him into saying the wrong thing. Max like a lot of us feels immigration is important, but also understands that we need immigrants that come here because they like Canada and our way of life and want that for themselves. Not the sort who come here with the (all too accurate) idea that Canadians are a bunch of chumps and will change our ways to suit them.
We don't need immigrants at all, there isn't a single good reason to let anyone in whatsoever.
@@jimbeauchamp1135 That's where you are absolutely wrong. Canadian couples have anywhere between 0 - 2 kids on average, so without immigrants, who exactly is going to pay the taxes so the pensions can be paid as people retire or for the other things taxes are needed for?

Yeah, I was expecting her to continue and say that the commenter wanted to ban all non-Eurasians or something, but all he did was say a basic math fact. Adding a lower IQ person, regardless of colour, into a group of people with an average higher than the newcomer, lowers the average. Simple stuff.

It does my heart good to see the overwhelming support of Maxime on this thread and tons of other threads. I'm also pleased to see that so many people recognize that the CBC is tax-funded Liberalism.
It also is GREAT that Bernier is still formulating his platform by opening the debate. NOBODY else is listening.
I was also shocked recently when Trudeau made a video celebrating the success of a Toronto area restaurant. A restaurant that donates to Trudeau's party.

Why can't Max just say what it is? The people of this country who existed here before Trudeau 1, make up Canadian values. Why is this so difficult for people to understand? So what if there are people who disagree with mass immigration? Does that mean our votes are null and void, or that our opinions no longer matter anymore? Who is defending the people who never wanted mass immigration? Max still kicks the smack out of all other candidates, but I am not liking the rhetoric. I think most canadians just want the problem resolved and we'll be good.
He has a good point about the impact of the dairy, egg, and chicken cartels on the nutrition of low income Canadians. Obesity is becoming a problem and is associated with low income because of the cost of quality food. If he restores the fitness tax credit, and can lower the cost of food, it would have a positive effect on the health of Canadians. Particularly children because the fitness tax credit removed by Trudeau was aimed at children.

We have a constitution and a bill of rights . If refugees or migrants are anti constitutional or anti bill of rights they are anti Canadian and should not be allowed to become Canadians . Reason is the constitution and bill of rights are a part of Canadian culture . Citizenship involves shared values . Those values are the beliefs defined by the constitution and the bill of rights which are the bases of our culture and its laws . To want laws that are not secular and not subject to our constitution and bill of rights is anti Canadian. Ask yourself do we need large volumes of people in this country that will inundate and denigrate our high standards of living and our culture ? Ask too, shouldn't merit based immigration be first and foremost for the good of the country and its high standards?

The left media is so good at framing the entire discussion with passive comments like that, the interviews are never about the interviewee. They're always about the script the interviewer has designed to force the interviewee down against their will.
This isn't reporting, it's propaganda.
Everybody has a bias; that's why we use to play fairly by certain rules about when to disclose your bias and in what way.
But now it's all out war between political ideologies, and nobody is talking at all.
There is no sense in talking about biases, because it's like someone in a gun fight saying "you put your gun down first, and then I'll put my down".
That's basically the entire left media, like CNN and CBC in Canada. "Oh we're balanced and fair and unbiased". What they mean by that is that if you don't agree with them, you must be intolerant and ignorant because they have to be right because they're not unbiased.

More and more people are taking their time to hear what Maxim Bernier is trying to say. There are Conservatives who are determined in taking their votes away from CPC and giving it to PPC. This process has started and it can't be reversed. CPC is going to lose those votes for sure. It is time now for the Canadians, including the elected MPs, to take a long hard look in the mirror and maybe for the first time in their lives take the opportunity and to vote for what they really stand for. There is nothing wrong with diversity so long as fundamental values like women's equality, respect for rule of law etc are respected. Canadian immigrants are highly skilled and extremely hard working. They abide by Canadian ideals and stimulate and add zest to culture and the economy. What Canadians can do is maintain the high levels of scrutiny and skill requirements for immigrants and they will continue to prosper. What they should guard against are demogogues that seek political fortune by stoking fear and resentment against a non-existent bogeyman. There is nothing wrong with diversity. We don't all have to look and think the same to create some kind of perfect Canada. In fact, the opposite makes it far more exciting and rich and dynamic, so long as our fundamental values are respected by all.
