This is the first of this design that I've seen. What a great idea. And I really appreciate the discussion of how you match the throw of the carriage to the width of the blade to "fine tune" the cut. Thanks!

I just built a similar design (from a different UA-cam tutorial. However, I think you are correct in gluing the spacers and if required making another set (or more for different sizes). What I noticed was the clamp on the front of yours which is something I will probably add.
