Really excellent tutorial. Thanks. I built mine based on this today. First time I’ve made one and I’m well chuffed with the results.

This is on my list of required shop jigs, I'm slowly making my way through the list.
Very clear and the grooving blade is the actual solution I was looking for after watching about twenty different videos.
Such a nice fit! So satisfying to see a perfect joint with no voids - well done!
Thanks Keith! I've looked at a looot of box joint jigs over the last few months and yours is probably the most digestable. And right in the nick of time as I have a cabinet project coming up
I bought the same blade a month or so ago and made a similar jig. I’ve made a few jewellery boxes with it, it’s a great way to do them 🙂

What a clear, practical video. Just what I wanted and I'm going to make my jig tomorrow morning! Many thanks RnB.
That’s,the best finger joint jig so far. Nice and easy to make and use. Thanks very much for sharing the plans with everyone.
Brilliant video and clear plans. Thank you so much. I’ve just upgraded my table saw and I will try and make this jig this week. Thanks again👍
This came just at the right time seeing as I am attempting to make my own tomorrow. This will save myself a lot of time figuring it out 👍🏻
Coincidentaly, I've just bought that exact blade, hoping that it will work for finger joints. Happy to see that it DOES work. Thanks for the neat jig plans, they'll make life much easier.
Having just bought my table saw, jigs are on my list.
Finger joints are so pretty! This is awesome!
I enjoy watching your skills come to life. Thanks.🙂🙂🙂🌟
Great vid as usual 👍👍👍
Such a clear explanation and very generous to supply free plans!
I’ve just ordered a 4mm kerf CMT blade and can’t wait to have a go!
So pleased someone works in millimetres....been away from imperial measurements so long it's all foreign now. Thanks ;-)
Very good tutorial on making a Finger Joint Jig! Very clear and patient instructions.
Thanks for thismate .
Straight to the point. No bullshit.
What a relief.
i really enjoy this style of video just a guy who seems like a good dude explaining how he made something
Great video Keith, I saw a Rob Cosman video where instead of wood glue he assembles the joint first and then applies a thin super glue. You don't have to worry about wood swelling or set up time, the super glue soaks right in.Because of the nature of the joint it's extremely strong. (No accelerant). I'v been using this method for a couple of months now and find it works really well. Love your videos, Keep up the good work.
Simple and effective. Thanks Keith!
Good looking jig, Keith. Thanks for the free plans.
Great video, great jig, free plans. What's not to like.
Many thanks Keith.
I always enjoy your videos. Oooh, grooing blade, I didn't know they existed! Thanks! I really must make one of these, I made one for the router table before I had a table saw. I've put on my to-do list!
Great job! Nice that you have free plans as well!
Not a wood worker but like to see you demonstrate your craft.
Thats brilliant Keith, I have seen loads more complicated jigs that don't give the results your does, and has I have the blade already this jig is going to be one of my up and coming projects... Cheers Paul
Absolutely brilliant, my friend! Thank you for sharing.
Great video, I'm looking forward to making one of these - thanks for the plans!
Thank you very much for this information and the plans for the jig. Much appreciated.
A great piece of equipment. Thanks so much.
Great quality video Keith. Well explained and a great simple jig. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very clean job. I love your tools.
Ingenius, thanks for teaching how to make this.
Started looking at your channel today. Appreciating what I’m seeing, will subscribe. Thanks for the jig plan.
I've used a jig of this type for years. I put the tab on my side of the fence so I can see what is going on. Also I clamp both sides of a corner and cut both at the same time - saves some time and makes a better fit. If you cut the sides short and add a small strip of contrasting wood on each end, you get this beautiful ladder effect on the corners! Have fun!
Thanks, just what i need!!! That video was spot on!!
Great video Keith, Thank's for plan's option, Stay Safe !!!.
Hi Keith. Just come across this video but been subscribed for some time. The content is excellent - you are so down to earth, practical and explain in great detail. You are a credit to UA-cam woodworking - thank you
Thank you so much
Thanks a lot! With your permission I have downloaded the project. From Barcelona
Thanks for the video. I made my own and it works great.
Thanks for the plans. Will be making one soon.
Very nice Keith, all I need now is a table saw.
Very simple and easy Well done

@Valentino Noah Yup, I have been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself :D
They look amazing
Thanks
Nice finger joint jig Keith! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Excelente projeto...congratulation!
Thanks for Free Plans, Charlie, CZ
That was a beautifully neat joint. I wish I had a full size table saw, I struggle on a hobbyist saw & box joints just about work but are a bit sloppy. Though I did CNC a good set (all 6 sides)
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Having the two fences is very clever
thank you,allways a pleasure jack.
Как всегда восхищаюсь! И лайк!
Spot on Keith👍
The way you marked the triangles's tips to trim them down (:50-:55) reminds me of a remark made 30 years ago by a former student of James Krenov's. I made some marks similar to yours and told him to cut where I'd marked. He said, "Where? Here at the tarantula?"
Great Job!
Nice one Rag!
I really need to make one of these
Brilliant. Thank you
Excellent - thank you.
good job...love your videos
Yes i enjoyed it.
Thanks👍👏👏👏
Thank as always great video stay safe ☕☕👍😷
AMAZING!!
Thanks Keith.
Really helpful, cheers.
Good jig,thank you video
gr8 video m8,nice jig.
Thank you 🙌
Thank you so much!
Good video thanks.
Thanks Keith, I'm having these plans and I shall be getting one of those blades - Matt at Badger Workshop has also mentioned it and as a UK [no dado saw owner] I'm keen to get into finger joints and this is my chance. Cheers.
Alway enjoy your videos Keith. They’ve helped me in my business a lot over the years. With the box jig, do you think it requires a guard at the back to prevent injuries? Secondly, I’m really tempted by those CMT grooving blades. Are you happy with them? Ben.
If you had made the jig less wide you could have put a stop block on the sled to make it easier to micro-adjust the finger fit.
Love this! Anyone got any advise for a good table saw under £200?
Brill!
3:10 the height of the blade does matter. You should be only cutting to the depth of the fingers of the joint in order to prevent tear out or otherwise you will be using a backer board all the time.
Thank you.
Thank you for this video. This is very helpful. Do you know if this blade will work for Dewalt Table Saw DWE 7485? I’ve been reading that this saw does not take Dado blades but wondering if this blade would be okay to use on it.
Hey, I just watched your 2017 video where you were making table legs without a lathe. I just wanted to tell you about Bourbon Moth Woodworking Make Your Own Lathe video. I hope you do not mind, I just thought about that. I love your work!
(IMHO) Would be nice to see where you're going, when you start cutting, " this is the X piece", this the back piece etc?
Neat idea though, thanks.
Looks like a good one. Thanks for the free plans.
- Box joints add a level of sophistication to any piece. They're really classy. Thanx 4 sharing. Who makes your blade cover, it's quite interesting & looks safe ???
Thanks. They crown guard came with the saw
I need to rack out my van with ply. Would one of those battery nailers be suitable?
And about that, how is your ”dustdrawer” for the mitresaw work? I remember your dramatic video when building...Planning to build if working ok. Thanks and keep them coming!
Yeah it works well but it's bigger than it needs to be
Brilliant video and design since dados are not available in the U.K. link for the blade please
Thanks for the plans. Where does one find your blade guard? How well does the dust extraction work with it?
It came with the saw. I explain about dust extraction performance of the saw here ua-cam.com/video/gvBQCAHtEGo/v-deo.html and also here ua-cam.com/video/nC7_fgojpy4/v-deo.html
Hi. This is awesome. Well done. I have a Dewalt 7485 table saw that has 81/4 blade, is there a thick blade for this saw ? Please advise. Thaknks
Nice video as always! A small tip: you can use the back edge of the saw table to glue the sledge square on the rails.
You can as long as your blade is set perfectly square to the table
You said that it doesn't matter how high the blade cut thru the fence at first but it really does matter. Later on when you lowered the blade to the thickness of your panels, that left a gap above your cut that caused chip out on the back side. If you had made the initial cut a little less or exactly the thickness of the final panels, then you would have a lot less chip out to clean up. Nice and easy to build jig otherwise.
Very clever mate, Just wondered what table saw you have, Thanks

@@RagnBoneBrown Thanks mate
I'm sure matthias wandell would have something to say about this lol.. I tried all the different jigs and I realised you actually need an accurate saw to start with. If it it works for your saw then great but mine not so
Nice.
Hey how about a video showing a complete box, I got to the last side of the box and somehow made it backwards and it would not fit right. how do you keep track of the sides and order you are working on.
Great video! Now I just need to convert MM to inches! No problem though...
-Enjoyed it, that was wonderful Keith. I went and bought the flat tooth blade you have from Amazon. I've got this now but just noticed your table saw blade gap plate thing. Did you make this for using with this blade. I do apologies Keith, I'm really, really new to woodworking and love watching all you guys making it look easy. Thanks for this x
Yeah I have a vid about it on my channel posted a few months back 👍
@@RagnBoneBrown Thanks Keith, I must have missed that one... Only had my table saw few weeks.
A great vidio . Im having trouble finding the 6mm x 25.4 bore. Any ideas jim in uk .thanks chris.
You can get the same blade and just buy a ring reducer to adapt it to the 25.4mm bore
Would you recommend always using hardwood for the pin and runners or was that just what you had on hand? If yes, I'd love to understand why as I'm very new to woodworking. I bought my first table saw recently and would love to try something like this for practice but most of my scraps are plywood, pine or old firewood the previous occupants left in the back of the garden, so I've no idea what it is!
Hi Claire, hardwood is more hard-wearing, so should last longer, but honestly softwood like pine will be absolutely fine! Cheers, Keith
