I agree about Monstera looking messy! I love my big one in the corner of my office but it’s been a little bit of a nightmare trying to make it look decent. Those BOP 😍
I think I'm the only plant lover who doesn't have a monstera deliciosa! I just don't like the aerial roots all over the place - I like more tidy plants. I'm with you on the bird of paradise though! Love them 💛
I wholeheartedly agree with this hahaha the Monstera is truly not really my cup of tea aesthetically 😬 but it is certainly a big green behemoth making my livingroom a lot more jungley 😆🌿
My IKEA wide Milsbo is looking great. I purchased several types of Alocasia (a plant completely new to me). Thank you for the videos! The new plant cabinet has been a wonderful diversion during COVID. I'm in love with Sven. :)
Love that Bismarck Palm & the White Bird of Paradise...maybe in my next home, where I’ll have E, W or S exposure...all I have are N facing windows (lol)...I know grow lights can help, but I refuse to have 40 different lights throughout my apartment - lol 🌿🌿🌱🌱
Awesome video! Can't wait to get a bigger place with lots of light so I can buy those beautiful huge plants 🤩 I have 2 Areca palms in my bedroom and it's giving me relaxing tropical vibes 💚💚💚 I'm loving it! Just a bit of a hassle to clean 😅
The thing with shopping at big box stores is that you might have to wait till a new shipment to get a picture perfect/healthy plant. A lot of stores will over water and kill them as time goes on, which is sad 😔 but I can’t break my wallet to get a nice plant. I don’t mind chopping it and changing the soil if I need to, the plants will grow into themselves if you care for it right. Personally I love the big box store bc sometimes you get hidden gems for cheap
I’m hopefully moving into a house this year and have put the Bismarck palm into my ‘future plants’ shopping list for when I have the space. It’s so beautiful and I don’t know why I haven’t seen it before 😍
Bird of paradise is on my wishlist! I have a Marble queen pothos but it's been slow to grow. Also would like a parlor palm or some other palm. Right now all my plants are small... more affordable that way lol
Recently purchased an Alocasia Regal Sheild for the big leaf look and is the biggest plant in my collection at possibly 3.5 ft currently. I know they can get at least 5-6ft but unsure if that will happen indoors but will enjoy the process of watching it grow.
Oh I also have a Regal Shields! Such gorgeous dark foliage on those plants 😍 they get quite large also, but mine is not big enough to count as one of the 'big plants' quite yet... maybe in a future large plants vid 😁🌿
I drive a fiat abarth and hauling massive plants in that car is a whole experience in itself. 😂 I said I would never get another palm again because theyre spidermite magnets, but wow that bismark!
Oh man spidermites were such a pain on that Majesty until I finally started using predator mites. Where have they been all my life 😫👏🏻 I'm never wiping a frond ever again! The Bismarck foliage is super thick so I feel like it looks like spidermites wouldn't care as much about them... time will tell, but me and my predator mites are ready haha
If you like that dusty blue/green foliage look, try a trailing one such as the Pilea Glauca. I adore that plant and regret not buying like 3 of them when they showed up randomly at my local plant shop... only got one. But it’s amazing!
Pretty easy for me, it was one of the first plants I bought. A few years ago, (after I killed 20 something succulents), and its never given me any issues, no pests, no brown spots. I water it once a week or so with filtered water and keep it in a south facing window. Though I do think mine would grow faster in a more humid environment, it’s currently 30% humidity and I can tell it would prefer something better... but in a few months I’ll be moving so maybe then I’ll look into a greenhouse type situation for it.
Beautiful plants!, so I have the second one the Chinese evergreen but I was told it was a Maria but it looks just like that one! How can you tell the difference ?
As someone mentioned, could you make a video about Monstera Deliciosa? Mine is super happy putting out new leaves but is so tiny! like not even a third of yours :(
I have a baby one and then was gifted a huge ancient one. I cut that one back so much and I'm praying it's ok but...the leaves were all pretty small. Weird. I also staked it and I'm hoping once I can put it in it's new location in my house, it'll explode. I want the WILD!
Please give some care tips on your Aglaonemas. I have quite a few of them and can’t seem to get the care right. I let them dry out between watering but still get yellow leaves a few days after 💦
I let mine dry out til they have a sliiiight wilt! That's when I water 😁 losing the odd old leaf doesn't matter too much! I also nip all the flowers off when they come to encourage the plant to focus on the foliage haha
Love your beautiful plants And the comfortable egg chair you have among them. May I ask what kind of chair that is. I really like it. Thank you in advance. I’ve been looking for a chair like that.
Ok I wasn't sure you were gonna say one that I HAD to have or that I didn't ALREADY have but guuuurrrlll you DID!! That Bismarck Palm! O M G! Yes! I have to have it! What a stunning plant! Thank you so much! P.S. I'm @pudgey_planter on Instagram 😘🤩
That's exactly how I felt when I walked into the greenhouse and saw it sitting there 😵 NEEDED that plant Yesss I saw your post about the Caudex plants! I also tried my first one this year and I'm in looove! Picked up a Stephania erecta ❤🌿
Bahaha I love that you wore the marble queen! And your adorable little face fitting perfect in the space with the chinese evergreen lol I have most of these plants yay! I have 2 BOP and have no clue if they’re white or orange, I assume white lol great video girl!!
I love both my orange and white bird of paradise. I’m lucky enough to live in California where I can have them outside and see them grow absolutely massive 💚🌱🌿 I see 10K in subs in your very near future and no doubt it will continue to skyrocket 🚀
Oh wow I am so jealous!!! No way would that work here 😆 I'm even to worried to try in the summers hahaa Awh thank you so much ❤ this is seriously the best little community 🌿
Thanks for sharing your video.. I am a plant lover too.... When I saw ur video i was thinking yo give u some plants(but only common plants here in our country) but We too far to each other... 😁😁😁😁
Very surprised the Bismarck & giant bird of paradise are inside your home. These plants grow massive. They will look good for a couple of yrs but eventually will need to be planted in the ground.New sub from Australia. Love your vibe.
I love my IKEA wide Milsbo. I purchased several Aocasia (a new plant for me). I love your videos and they have inspired me to add a plant cabinet to my space which has been a wonderful diversion during COVID. I also love Sven.
The wide Milsbo is my favourite one! Such big beautiful glass doors to see all the plants through 😁🌿 Glad to have helped support the plant growth 🪴🛋 Sven says hi! 🐶❤
Hi Alina, I love all of your informative videos! I live in Wisconsin so I appreciate that we have similar care for our indoor plants with such long winters. I was enamored with your Bismarck palm enough to go purchase one for myself. And I was wondering if you could do a care video on your Palm or how frequently you water and or fertilize? Thank you! ♥️
I agree at the end of summer Lowes had bird of paridise marked down. And i can kick myself i only got the orange and this year they are 24.95 ouch to my budget. She gave me a new leaf over the holudays and is giving me a new one. You said Monsteria's are attendtion hounds can you do a video on what you mean by fussy and their care with the great new plants Lowes is carrying i'm hoping to find one someday. I just found a poly elephant ear I never thought they would care them and only 10.98. Was over watered but i removed the soaked soil replanted in new dry soil and let it wait a week before i water it. I list the leaves i jew where bad but 1 still hanging in. The rest of the pot doing well no new growth but expect it towards spring.
Those off-season markdowns 😍 keep an eye out at your local greenhouses in April... they usually have a huge houseplant clear out to make room for the summer annuals 😉 Monstera are super easy to care for BUT they grow all over the place! I currently have 4 stakes in mine trying to tame it haha
What's your favourite large houseplant that has the most impact in your home?? 🪴🛋
Bananas & Alocasias & Colocasias
My massive Schefflera Aboricola! I love that plant, it looks like a giant jungle firework display.
Definitely my monstera and Chinese evergreen 😍😍
Mine is ... hm. Either my Dracaena or Aglonema.
Oof I want a Musa aeae so bad. Gotta win the lotto 👏🏻
I just thought I’d say that in just a few weeks of watching you, you’ve become my new favorite UA-camr☺️
Yay! Thank you! I'm glad you found me!!
SAME!
SAME
SAME!
Same! 💚
lol omg you’re little face poking through the chinese evergreen 🤣🤣
😆😆😆 got the shot 👏🏻
You just chilling, covered in pothos vines, is such a vibe 😂💖
Sometimes there's nothing like a large statement plant to me you feel like you're under a forest canopy 😎 such a calming addition to any space!
That's exactly how I feel!! So lovely 🥰
That Bismarck Palm! So cool!
I agree about Monstera looking messy! I love my big one in the corner of my office but it’s been a little bit of a nightmare trying to make it look decent. Those BOP 😍
Beautiful collection of plants. Hello Sven xo

Yes South windows help a lot!! When I was house shopping that was like top priority 😆🪴

Wish I had room for a BoP, I guess a Monstera will do :) Nice video!
I’m hopefully moving into a house this year and have put the Bismarck palm into my ‘future plants’ shopping list for when I have the space. It’s so beautiful and I don’t know why I haven’t seen it before 😍
Yesss!! I hadn't heard of it before either!!! So unique and such a statement plant 🙌🏻 perfect for a new home 😍🪴🛋
That last plant is definitely going on my wishlist 😍
👏🏻 it's incredible!!!
Never heard of the Bismarck palm. It's stunning. Now I wish I had more space.
Bird of paradise is on my wishlist! I have a Marble queen pothos but it's been slow to grow. Also would like a parlor palm or some other palm. Right now all my plants are small... more affordable that way lol
My 12 year old ficus Benjamina which is over 7 feet tall. Can’t live without. TFS.
I love both of those palms!
I love these fast growers, I brought my small monstera for 8.99 GBP and it is huge now ! TFS
Yes! I love that chinese evergreen Aglonema😍🙌🏼
Love this collection! I have a giant pothos, fiddle (6ft), natal mahogany and my BOP is at least 8ft. Thanks for sharing 💚
Aaannnndddd *saves to plant wishlist list* (mostly for that Bismark and white BOP because omg 😲 😍)
The Bismarck is truly the coolest plant ever! I'm so in love 😍
Love them all but that white paradise leaves in competition with silver blue palm 😘
After seeing those pictures I think we need a home/plant tour 😄
I just started watching you and I became a subscriber right away. You are very lovable person and I love this presentation very much. Keep it up
Thank you! Glad you found me! 😁🌿

I'll have to look into predatory mites because that sound so freeing. No more frond wiping 👀
Great video!!
Thanks girl! 😁 Big plants are the bomb 👏🏻
If you like that dusty blue/green foliage look, try a trailing one such as the Pilea Glauca. I adore that plant and regret not buying like 3 of them when they showed up randomly at my local plant shop... only got one. But it’s amazing!
Oh the silver sparkles!! Yes I've eyed those many times, do you find them easy to care for??
Pretty easy for me, it was one of the first plants I bought. A few years ago, (after I killed 20 something succulents), and its never given me any issues, no pests, no brown spots. I water it once a week or so with filtered water and keep it in a south facing window. Okay you've convinced me! I'll pick one up next time I see them around 😁🌿
Super easy to propagate too! Glad I could help! I think it’s a seriously underrated plant :)
@@madelineburgetauthor So easy to propagate! They get roots virtually overnight in water! I was shocked. I love these, too.
💚
Can you do a video on Anthurium Plowmanii?
Beautiful plants!, so I have the second one the Chinese evergreen but I was told it was a Maria but it looks just like that one! How can you tell the difference ?
Maria and Romeo are quite similar! I believe the 2 have the same bicolour variegation, but Maria has more dark green and Romeo has more light green!

Maybe the pot is too big so the soil holds too much moisture? Or maybe the soil isn’t well draining enough? 🙂
Love your beautiful plants And the comfortable egg chair you have among them. May I ask what kind of chair that is. I really like it. Thank you in advance. I’ve been looking for a chair like that.
That is from Jysk 😁 it's a nice one!! I put my own throw pillow on it and it's super nice to relax and read in!
@@PlanteriorDecorator it looks so comfortable.
Can you pleease give me more specific care tips for Mr. Romeo! TIA.

Beautiful plants! How large is your apartment?
A little under 1000 sq ft!
whats the size of pot you have the MQ pothos in?
Now it is in a 10 inch! When I bought it, it was a 6 inch
We just bought a BoP and no clue what color ...hahahhaa It was cheap!
Cheap is the most important!! Haha
@@PlanteriorDecorator Yeah, we bought for the leaves too!
aaaaahhhh, where did sweet sven go??!! :)
The Pothos leaves were bumping his head and he was *over it* 😆 so he went to go sit in his swingy chair haha
@@PlanteriorDecorator Of course he did. His chair is the fanciest chair :D
U so funny)
You look a bit tired on your videos, your eyes are quite red.. is everything alright ? :)

Haha 😆 it was right there, I had to toss it on like a boa
Loving these videos! Coming from someone who is a SUPER plant beginner, would you be able to make a video on how you do your plant haircuts? :)
I love both my orange and white bird of paradise. I’m lucky enough to live in California where I can have them outside and see them grow absolutely massive 💚🌱🌿
