    Love this discussion. Gabby, thanks so much for having Dr. Means on your show. She so gets it. On so many levels. I echo what Dr. Means expressed in this interview with a 10 year journey my wife and I have taken with her stage 4 breast cancer (that had spread everywhere including the brain) and an unrelated hospital incident that left my wife in a coma for 3+ weeks and a total of 3 months in the hospital. I was at the hospital every day for those 3 months and learned a lot about the "health care" system. Enough to fill a book.
    After years of researching scientific articles and looking at the work of countless/real health practitioners outside of allopathic medicine I, like Dr. Means, started to realize that the more we divorce ourselves from nature/the natural order the sicker we become. The super complex machinery of our bodies is inextricably connected to the super complex natural order and when we live an unnatural life and eat unnatural "foods" we get an unnatural result.
    I would also add that the big food/pharma system is not at all an accident. All by design.
    As for my wife, she is, as of this moment, cancer free based on every available test - including genetic testing. Her doctors are baffled. Her and I are not. But we are very grateful for what we discovered along the way.

      @@GabbyReece Gabby, thank you as well for all your hard work in creating these important podcasts. Sharing such invaluable information with the people is the only way we can find a better path. Much more I could say about the crazy ride my wife and I have been on but I will refrain other than to say it has been enlightening and life changing.

    This is such an important interview! I too will not go to the doctor unless I am in a terrible car crash! I love the specifics, the hope and the passion from Casey. I'm so happy for this conversation because the system IS broken and we need to continue to have conversations to change it.

      I'm glad you enjoyed the conversation! I think there are absolutely moments where seeing a doctor is a good option. Especially for preventative care and check ups. But there is also a lot that we can be doing to be in control of our health.

    Correcting my metabolism by eating a Carnivore diet (which works for me) was the absolute best decision I have ever made. I'm so much healthier and happier at 48 than I was at any age during my 30s

      That's fantastic! How long were you using the carnivore diet before you started to notice the difference? It's always so cool when someone finds that eating style that works for them.

      @@GabbyReece Within 2 weeks my inflammation was down drastically. I started the diet in January 2023 in response to auto immune issues, inflammation and for weight loss purposes. After 8 weeks my intensely high, life long anxiety and intrusive thoughts had quieted down and I could think again. It has been the most remarkable change of my life. I got my life and brain back!

    • @GabbyReece
      @GabbyReece  Місяць тому

      It's absolutely a tough decision. The most important thing is making sure you're healthy. For some people they're able to maintain a healthy diet without eating animals, for others their body is really reliant on the protein from meat. Make sure you're listening to your body and giving it what it needs. Using that as a baseline will help as you continue to make improvements.

    You lost me at the end with privilege and patriarchy. The step forward from patriarchy is not matriarchy but a yin and yang balance. Women should empower as individuals but find manifestation in a duality that uses maleness and femaleness. You'll get more time and space that way.

    • @GabbyReece
      @GabbyReece  2 місяці тому

      I don't think what we were arguing for was a matriarchy. I appreciate your perspective.
