@@zwenkwiel816 They are technically not allowed to let a customer look at a refurb unit in the box before purchase. The employee was cool about it because I told him I’m probably not going to purchase it if I can’t at least get a quick look at it.
I’m thinking of buying a Nintendo Switch OLED should I because the switch 2 is coming soon but I don’t know how soon
Is it really that big a surprise how these look and were shipped knowing how the company treats its employees?
There are people who wear out their things just by looking at them; and people who can't.
6:35 to7:55 skip this areas to avoid brain rot of more Pokémon cards
For the weird mish match controller, gamestop takes bits off broken contollers and use them to fix working ones.
In the UK, we have a store called the Complete Entertainment Exchange, or C.E.X., which is essentially the British equivalent of GameStop. However, they refuse to buy back items that were originally purchased from them
That's not true. I've sold them games, movies and consoles that still had their receipts in the packaging, or the cex stickers on the box, from when I bought them from them, and they never once refused to buy them from me.
@@dennett316I can only share my own experience and perspective, and I respect that your viewpoint might differ. Just because your experience is different doesn't make mine any less valid.
I love the switch hinge design. From an engineering perspective its soo well designed to be both strong but easy to break, cheap but easy and affordable to repair. its brilliant. ive fixed a heap of them without having to buy a new small piece of plastic.
It's the Samuel Jackson of unbreakable
@@vincentvega3093 Lol literally listening to sam l jackson stackolee as i read that.
this could be quite clever if you want to return a console you bought from them. like instead of going in and saying "I want to return this console" you can go in and say you want to sell it. cuz then they'll start picking out the defects to drive down the price and then you say "HAH, YOU SOLD ME THIS!"
like with the consoles without serial numbers, definitely should have called them out on that...
Great Video Austin 👍🏻😄🖤
16:40 Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 5 are two *very* different games
If I'm not mistaken, Forza Motorsport is the one that's using real life race track, right?

He’s not that smart
As an SL for a GameStop, seeing the packaging for some of these boxes made me insanely depressed LMAO
Like yall need console specialists
This is the way. Always knew Austin had Diamond hands.
Damn, actually shocked to find out I paid less for my switch oled second hand, complete in box (200 euro's). Big yikes on that 240 dollars for a launch version switch, although you may have the advantage of it being hackable.
selling consoles to people that GAMESTOP wont even take should be illegal lmao
A person or business cannot be forced to buy or sell something.
The best you can do is civil action to recoup the losses.
This is some serious lawsuits if someone wants to sue them.
That advert for the Pokémon scanner is bullshit... Not on the fold 😂
Is that the same xbox series s that TronicsFix fixed in his latest video the one with the soda spilled on the wifi card 10:25 you can see kinda the same damage in the side of it
God as a GameStop employee watching this it pains me to see how fucking awful people pack their consoles and don’t clean them. Literally just people not doing their job. Which to be fair it’s not like GameStop pays people enough for a lot of employees to care. But still.
I understand that it’s a business and they need to make profit but that’s downright scamming people. Unfortunately they’ve been like this since the beginning…. I remember when I went into a store and some dude was returning a game that was just released 2 days before, it was a deluxe edition so it was about $100 or something like that, they were only going to give him $30, and most likely sell it for $70 or more. He threw a much deserved fit
If anything this is an expose in how gamestop makes shady dealings but the rules dont apply to them the other way around.
How GameStop is not drowning in lawsuits left and right is beyond me
As someone who's never owned an xbox, this video made me realized just how many hoops you have to jump through just to play your FRIGGING XBOX!!
Can you elaborate? From what they've shown in the video, I had to juno through the same hoops with my PS4
@I_was_a_Bullfrog I'm sorry, If you don't connect your ps4 to the internet on setup, your entire console is useless??
I wouldn't even have bothered with trade in, that is an instant return for me 😂
Ain't no way you partnered with that hack Leonhart. Dude's a joke to most collectors I know, and any product he puts out is almost always a scam.
I really thought you guys were smarter than that.
and i thought people were smarter than thinking Austin Evans isn't a hack
guess it cancels out
Hack how?
