CAT phones are awesome for what they are made for. We use them out in the field, we havnt found any other phone that can take the abuse, handle the cold weather and have such long battery time. Camera are BAD but we dont use them to take vidoes nor photos
My work used to use an older version for recording Electric Meter readings- always crashed and tried to brick itself when taking photos or opening our app
Someone I worked with had the cat s62 and it proved to be very durable. It suffered a lot of abuse that would have rendered any other phone utterly useless, the worst of which was dropping it between moving steel rolls meant for sheeting dough. The camera lense broke, but other than that it was still functional. You couldn't tell anything had happened to it.
I look at one star reviews but know often times they're subjective. As I've seen reviews trying to compare a $20 tablet to an $700 ipad, and it's obvious. You get what you pay for or some other issue that isn't relevant to the product.
Had one of the older CAT phones. B15 I believe. Indestructible. The promo video shows them driving an excavator over like 100 screens and they all still work. Wet finger tracking on the screen (Gorilla Glass) was awesome too. There are better phones out there for the average person. But for those who drop their phones often, or work in the elements etc, they are about as good as it gets for survivability. Would not have paid $650 for it tho. I believe I paid $150-200 thru my carrier at the time.

People often think stores make the product they sell which is wrong! You buy the protection plan to cover your hardware outside any return policy.

The biggest scam at best buy is the total tech service. Girlfriend is a manager there. Most of the stuff you're buying is marked up 75-150% over wholesale. The "free" warranties including with total tech only continue to work so long as you have total tech. On top of that, you can only claim two warranty services per year. Have a headset and a keyboard break? Now your 80" tv is no longer covered until the next year. We get everything at 5% over wholesale per employee discount. Anything from Insignia or Rocketfish, including those $600 wall mounts? They cost about 29 bucks.
I bought a gaming PC that came with the tower, mouse and keyboard for $500. It was a cyber power and I absolutely love it. I added an extra 16 gb ram to it for like $30. I can play every newer game out that at 100fps and some games a few years old 150fps plus.
Former Best Buy door dude here... can confirm, Aegis (and all the other prebuilt) "gaming" PCs got returned on the regular, and were the source of more angry customer interactions than any other product.

Those were some cringe worthy items, especially that tablet. I'm honestly not surprised by the desktop price as ALL the manufacturers are dumping their old stock on the market at a nice markup because they know It'll sell because of the shortages.
That 1200$ PC was steal... Even if it won't turn on the GPU itself selling for 750$ on Amazon
@Projit who asked?
@@pajmangames1602 pure profit
The CAT Phone looks pretty cool.
Yooooooooooo Ken is wearing a Dead Beats Mori shirt gotta love this man's taste.
DEAD BEATS, LURKING NOW!
I like to go to review channels to find out about a product. I think the more sources you check out the better informed you are.
just want to say thank you for always bringing great content ♥️
The Lance Armstrong burn from out of nowhere KILLED ME 😄
As a Best Buy employee, we carry NONE of these products in store (at least at my location). You must actively seek out these items online if you really want them
My parents bought me a pc from Best Buy 2 years ago for 1200 usd back when I used to live in the us it had a 2300x a rx 560 8gb ram and 1tb had drive they shouldn’t have surprised me cause 1200 for those specs is a scam
1tb ram?
@generikuser what.
the sound when you toook a picture
"3700x is old. Ancient"
Me watching this on my 4k-capable PC with a 3700x (and a 3080): that's all right, champ.
I was just thinking the other day how i wanted to watch an Austin evans video like this and now I’m sick and here we are. They are so relaxing and entertaining
Surprisingly short wait.
He is just too used to Wish shipping
Can we take a second to talk about Ken flexing his Volk Wheels on his truck?
Well aside from the psu, I would love to get a pc like that.
"Just like every Pixel product...this is sloooowly disappointing me"
I never felt a statement so true before
wtf "older processor" and "ancient" used to describe a 3700x? am i missing something
Also, the rolling shutter on that Cat phone was BAD🤣
I have to say, a couple of these actually don't seem that incredibly bad nut the others....I'd definitely agree with🤣🤣🤣
The caterpillar phone sacrifices a lot of things, one the chip is garbage, the materials aren’t that good, and the thermal camera isn’t that accurate it’s kinda like the iOS photo booth thing
if you get that $1,200 gaming computer and it works it's worth the price because the gpu almost the same cost
Born ‘97 , I lol’d at the lance joke. My dad loved that dude 😂
calling a r7 3700x ancient is the epitome of being so deep into technology that you have become sensibly out of touch
It hurts my r5 1400x 550 feelings
I have the 3700x. I thought he knew best with this CPU kind of surprise he mentioned acient CPU. I blow all my money on a 6900xt....
Austin would definitely confuse the employees at his local Walmart having chosen Pixie Dust as his notification sound...
I love how half of the phone companies are marketing the camera but I don't even use the camera lol
Bruh. I automatically subscribed when your cameraman hit that Lance Armstrong quip. 😂
12:58 ken gay confirmed?
NAHHH WHY ALWAYS THE PEOPLE I MOST LIKE IN A VIDEO IS GAY???
This is the first video I’ve seen of these guys, and i am happy to say that I am a new subscriber! Love the chemistry of the friends
Mrs Charlotte's is legit and her method works like magic I keep on earning every single week with her new strategy
She's not like other brokers that will star telling you stories and excuses why they trade didn't go well after collecting your money
Hello, I Am not a bot, unlike these other guys in the chat.
Have you ever heard of working for a paycheck instead of spamming the comment section for suckers?🤔
A scam artist
Jesus christ who the hell is mrs charlotte and why are there so many goddamn bots talking about her...
Edit: Spelling
Shut up.
the very first thing i noticed was the MKBHD shirt
1:47 the cameraman (Ken) casually wearing Calli merch.
I am literaly writing this on a CAT S62. I bought it 2 years ago, when it launched and since i had a charging port issue that the international warranty took care of in literaly 2 days including shipping. Best phone i ever had, and i had over 100
Ken is always the best part of these videos.
These videos just wouldn't be the same without my favorite sarcastic weeb.
love Ken representing the rabbit hole with that Deadbeats shirt
This is literally the Lance Armstrong of ear buds. This right here got me. Especially with the yellow shirt on
When he says it has an older processor and gpu.....
Me still having i5 3rd gen 😭😭😭
Nobody gonna mention the cameraman rocking grandma's glasses chain?
The biggest scam at best buy is the total tech service. Girlfriend is a manager there. Most of the stuff you're buying is marked up 75-150% over wholesale. The "free" warranties including with total tech only continue to work so long as you have total tech. On top of that, you can only claim two warranty services per year. Have a headset and a keyboard break? Now your 80" tv is no longer covered until the next year.
We get everything at 5% over wholesale per employee discount. Anything from Insignia or Rocketfish, including those $600 wall mounts? They cost about 29 bucks.
Wow!
These scams are some crazy stuff!
Especially that switch free power supply!
How cheap can you get?!
Those tablets like the last one are the certified "growing up broke and my parents cant afford an iPad atm" special
The lance Armstrong of ear buds 😂 I’m dead 😂
I bought a gaming PC that came with the tower, mouse and keyboard for $500. It was a cyber power and I absolutely love it. I added an extra 16 gb ram to it for like $30. I can play every newer game out that at 100fps and some games a few years old 150fps plus.
Yo, Ken rocking that Calli shirt! Whaddup, Deadbeat!
Glad I wasn't the only who noticed
digging that dead beat t-shirts that Ken wear
Former Best Buy door dude here... can confirm, Aegis (and all the other prebuilt) "gaming" PCs got returned on the regular, and were the source of more angry customer interactions than any other product.
The Lance Armstrong comment was gold and it definitely made me feel old instantly after.
