- New body camera video from American Fork Police shows how officers were able to locate two of Ruby Franke's children on the day of her arrest in Southern Utah.
2News was the first to tell you how officers scoured Utah County looking for two of Ruby Franke's children after the other two were located in-or-near Jodi Hildebrandt's Ivins home - malnourished and emaciated.
This video is from the home of a third member of Hildebrandt's business Connexions Classroom. Although American Fork redacted this video, 2News took additional steps to ensure the privacy of the children involved.

Basically hiring a child to do labor for you for free is ridiculous. Clean your own house or at least PAY SOMEONE else to. Oh and, she knows, investigate this POS.
If she's doing it for free she's not "hired." She was instructed to clean up a friend's home and was obedient in carrying it out. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

No, officer, you don't place someone "temporarily under arrest." This officer needs to be more careful with his words. Law enforcement officers' misspoken words can cost the taxpayers a lot of money. Also, he states that he's detaining her until questions are answered. That's not how it works, as no one is legally required to answer law enforcement officer's questions. He's going to end up in many civil rights lawsuits if he doesn't receive better training. Good grief, our law enforcement officers in this country are extremely uneducated.

I think good old Pam knows about her dear friends torture of the children. And is guilty too and uses those little girls as slave labor so they can say they are doing it to be humble before God.
She more than just knows, in the horrible case of Jodi's niece, she was an outright participant. I know Jessi (the niece in question) doesn't actually consider Pam an abuser, but I disagree with them.
Pam spied on Jessi, made sure that they were unable to do even the tiniest things to alleviate their torment, and made sure Jodi knew about their every movement, which led to a deeper sense of isolation and paranoia. She had full knowledge of the physical and emotional abuse inflicted and took active steps to perpetuate it even if she didn't lay a finger on Jessi herself.
Pam is just as evil as Jodi in her own way and it wouldn't surprise me if she knew exactly what was going on with Ruby's younger chikdren and turned a blind eye or worse.

In a stream recently Chad Ruby’s oldest son states that he is really surprised that Pam is not under investigation and that she needs to be. He also stated that she is in hiding right now. That particular action does not seem a usual behavior for someone who is innocent and was just doing a favor for an acquaintance. Remember Pam states she doesn’t know Ruby very well, but Chad stated that Pam is very good friends with Jody and knew his mother well through Connexions.
Pam’s story did not make sense who picks up someone who you barely know children to make them go home and scrub floors because you are having guests from another country? What she couldn’t do that herself or hire someone that wouldn’t take ice cream and a trip to the farmers market as payment? You notice how she keeps telling the cops they went to the farmers markets and then came home and ate? Why do you think she keeps hammering that home? Could it be she knew they meaning Ruby and Jody were up at Jody’s starving Ruby’s kids?

Despite the ickiness of this situation, they should have shown her the warrant at the door. Her husband shouldn’t have even opened the door. They treated her with supreme kid gloves. Many others would have been assaulted or worse. This world is such a mess.

The younger Franke kids were tied up in the panic room of Partner #1, being ... experimented on with different forms of punishment -- starvation; restraint; dehydration; isolation -- to... what? -- strip them of their will and personality?
And then... Partner #2 transitions the older children from the subjugation phase, to the next phase which is, what? .... free labor?
These are the 'influencer' business partner ladies, right?
Brings to mind how the world-wide 'domestic workers' industry works.
You get your business/employment agency set up and go to Sri Lanka or Philippines or some country with desperately poor people who have limited prospects and big family to support. Offer well-paid work as a live-in 'domestic worker' for a wealthy family in another country, with a year-long contract and travel and living arrangements and expenses included.
Their new 'employers' immediately take away their passports, and in an instant, they've gone from being employed 'domestic workers' here on some kind of work visa, to being prisoners, in a completely foreign place, providing slave labor, and who, in the eyes of the law, appear to be illegal immigrants who've overstayed, or otherwise violated the terms of their visa.
Another way to do it is to eliminate the part where you set up an agency out of the country, and just wait for the desperately poor people to find you, in-country, and get them then.

The cops LIED when they said he had the warrant in the car. That is a 4th amendment violation arresting a person at their house without a warrant

The cops didn't know about the previous history , or that they were in the Jodi's cult, they're not relatives an the other siblings were in a really bad condition, I think that they assumed that the two minors were used for something more serious than slave labor and really wanted that she could not communicate with other people lurking in that strange arrangement.

The law is night and day between going to a home and detaining someone on the street. Also a home owner has a right to read the warrant before any action is taken with little exception as to a busting down the door type search. remember the husband asked to see the warrant and the cop said it was in the car. I knew at that point it was a lie. You got to remember these people cooperated there was no reason to lie about a warrant. The fact the cop did this will mean a lot of evidence will not be allowed in court for the prosecution but will open the door for the defense as to corruption. This is why you follow the rules because a mistake can ruin the entire case
Is it legal for children to work in the US?
Starting at age 14 yes it is. For some jobs like babysitting or mowing lawns it’s 12-13 in most states I believe. But in this case I bet they weren’t getting paid

I’m very heated about it all, but I agree that the trial is what we should wait for until the facts can be cemented - but Pam has hurt people.
Also, because the officer didn't state Miranda rights, anything pam said when she got detained is inadmissible. In court. Which means anything past the point of being detained can't be used in court.

You do realize that serial rapists and murderers are often “good people” in many aspects of their lives? I had a very good Friend who was accused of sexual improprieties with his 12 year old Stepdaughter, it was taken serious, as it should have, it came out in the Trial, the Little Girl admitted her Dad put her up to it, he told her it would get Mommy and Daddy back together, he didn't tell her about the abuse he put her Mother through, this was in Salt Lake late 80's early 90's, as a Biker I know Utah LEO's, got Scars I can show @@Marj15
