Not end of story. Just because he didn't work for Pickaway anymore (not sure on spelling), doesn't mean he didn't weasel his way into some bumfuck village. It happens all the time, where cops hop from place to place racking up bad conduct and quitting before administrative investigations are concluded. Such a professional interaction, and a great dilemma, nice one!
He got far too much leeway, should have been immediately arrested once the female officer confirmed he was fired, and subsequently that he was not commissioned... end of story.
Sounds about right.
Not end of story. Just because he didn't work for Pickaway anymore (not sure on spelling), doesn't mean he didn't weasel his way into some bumfuck village. It happens all the time, where cops hop from place to place racking up bad conduct and quitting before administrative investigations are concluded.
I do believe he should have been disarmed from the beginning (for officers safety) and this should have been sorted out down at the station, not with 7 or 8 officers standing around in a parking lot swapping cell phones.
It seemed like that department was over having AWP (or whatever the acronym is) conducting shady business in their town and the best way to stop that would impound the car.
