  • Vlogger Ruby Franke, whose 8 Passengers UA-cam channel had more than 2.6 million subscribers before it was taken down, along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, founder of the Orem, Utah-based mental and emotional healing company Connexions Classroom, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of multiple felony counts in a child abuse case out of Southern Utah.
Hildebrant's niece, Jessi Hildebrandt, speaks out to 2News' Brian Schnee about her experience with her aunt's philosophies. At one point, she said, Jessi was under the care of Jodi while a teenager.

At the least, father Kevin did not seem to be in contact with his four minor children for over a year since he left home. A man can leave a marriage but cannot renounce all responsibility toward one’s minor children. Neighbors knew those children were neglected, his oldest daughter knew. Where was he then?! He shows up when there are cameras in front of his home? He needs to be charged. He alone could have protected his children, had he cared.

He was told to stay silent. Let's stop the uninformed accusations until we know the whole story with the husband. If you're aware that it was a custody hearing, ask yourself how he and his lawyer could know what Ruby might say that proved her unfit, if he argued with her. His lawyer obviously needed to hear what Ruby would say in order to know how to defend his client. Instead his silence gave Ruby the rope to hang herself.
And if you've listened to Adam -?'s interview in which he describes Jodi's "treatment" for marriage counseling, remember that Ruby kicked her husband out over a year ago. Jodi's MO was to divide and conquer the husband and wife and destroy the marriages. We don't know if Ruby allowed him to see the children, if she was following Jodi's rules.

I had 3 sessions of therapy with Jodi Hildebrandt when I was seven years old. She told me I would never have a healthy relationship with a person for the rest of my life and that I would never get married. She also tried to get me to feel my trauma and make me feel horrible about myself. I believed what she told me for a really long time. Now I am 24 and pregnant with a man I love dearly. Evil people can try to break down children but we will always end up on top.

Jodi is a closet lesbian. She's the patient not the therapist. Jodi projects her own self onto her patients. She lashes out at men and harms the children. To symbolically get back at her ex husband and child.
But she is 100% a lesbian and at this point most likely into children at least teenagers. Jodi and Ruby are more than business partners.

THIS is what hurts me the most about this. She is 100% correct, Ruby leveling accusations that her son is a straight up monster, predator and sex offender will never leave him. It’s her way of having control over him even in jail. Her children have been recorded saying they don’t have friends, now this boy is being sent to a home with no other kids because of her allegations. She’s still abusing him even without being there.

    • @wolfe6220

Interesting. There was someone else who called her son the same things when he was 10 years old. He was also locked in the basement as a child. Edmund Kemper aka the Co-Ed Killer. His mother hated him because he looked like his father who divorced her. If someone is evil enough to say these things to children over and over, the child will believe it and may eventually BECOME one. I hope they are getting these children therapy.

Isn't what Jessi said happened by her aunt a form of sexual abuse? I'm not trying to be rude or flippant with the SA claim, but forcing a child to have the bathroom open, the intense punishment for perceived sexual fixation feels very sexually inappropriate and abusive. I know there was definite physical abuse, but it definitely seems more than just that and she should be charged with the harm she caused this young woman as well.

I agree with you. Jessi is amazing. With all that’s being revealed about this evil Jessie is able to still come out to protect others, especially children, when this has to be such a trigger for her own trauma she had to go through.
Another thing, this is a reminder that whenever one goes to a therapist and you are not comfortable at the get go about the therapist- stop going no matter who recommended the therapist.
I had one session with a therapist that my OGYN had recommended and I had such an uneasy feeling talking to him that I never went back. I feel that if I had stayed I would have been worse off.

I hear what your saying and under normal circumstances I agree. That being said, my youngest, who has very recently turned 18 has very significant mental health issues. She has had cps called on me more times than I can count, usually to divert attention when she's done something to get in trouble. She has accused me of throwing her down a flight of stairs, doing drugs, drugging her, sending her older sisters in to beat her and so many other things. She accused her father of sexual abuse as well as many other men. To the point where we had to make sure she was never alone with men for any length of time in order to protect them from being accused. Cousins, uncles, teachers, bus drivers, etc. Sometimes she didn't even need a reason. She would happily hug and kiss me in the morning before school with an "I love you". At the end of the school day I would get a phone call from the school telling me she was refusing to come home because she was afraid. Often she would come home and tell me some outrageous tale about the principal/staff responding very inappropriately to her by hitting or something of the like. Even though the school knew what she was saying was most likely not true, they're still mandated and would have to call cps.
I love her with my entire being, but it's been a very long and difficult road. Lucky for me, and her now one year old daughter that I have custody of, she was not always believed.

that 911 call was the very first i ever heard about this case so after hearing that i just had to find out who those women were that did such horrible things to children 😢 when the man broke down it was so obvious that this was a serious child abuse case and after looking into it i was baffled that no one rescued these children sooner because the neighbors were not surprised and had tried to get these kids help ° as recent as last night i called the child abuse hotline regarding an intoxicated mother choking her 14 year old and the cops said there was nothing they could do because she was "disciplining" her teenager, the 14 year old had marks on her face and neck but because the guardian because it's not the bio mom i found out but instead a relative that has had custody several years and that guardian recently came out of the closet as a man who was born a woman and LE where i live can't do anything to upset the transgender community so as soon as they discovered she was transgender it was immediately "the 14 year old is just a troubled teen" and they left ° this guardian comes home plastered every night and idk what sex she identifies as it's no excuse to get wasted and abuse a child ° my grandson is 10 years old and sees how fearful LE and CPS are scared of the transgender community backlash ° it's appalling that religion and trans can be justifiable excuses

And, I’m sorry, but even if Jodi is the mastermind, Ruby is 10000% responsible for her own sick and disgusting behavior and I do not have any sympathy for her. Thank goodness Jessi has spoken out about these experiences and shedding light on this extremely complex form of abuse. It is so insidious and hard to even articulate sometimes because so many psychological factors are at play. I will say that some people develop throughout their life this indescribable ability to manipulate people and situations and get away with it. Jodi absolutely used the information she learned from getting her masters degree in counselling psychology to turn around and cause harm to other people. Most people with nefarious intentions and patience like Jodi has will not be out there immediately revealing all their cards to the world... they play the long game and practice this pattern of abuse on anyone close enough to them and extremely vulnerable (such as Jessi's situation being Jodi's niece and being very vulnerable as a teenager). Jodi clearly understands the intricacies of this kind of power imbalance and used it to her full advantage. Ruby on the other hand really appeared to be a somewhat Jekyll and Hyde character... seemed quite lost, but also hiding an incredibly malicious side... she has some extremely deep self loathing going on that has likely never been brought to light in an introspective sense. Ruby saw what Jodi had and it was like a moth to a flame. She became consumed by it... the match already existed in Ruby way before Jodi ever came around, but Jodi provided the flame.

Jessi, your bravery is astounding. Thank you for being the singular adult "in the room" amidst this situation. I don't think people quite realize how hard this is to do for a person. I'm so sorry you have had to be brave at all.

Jessie, I'm so desperately sorry for the experiences you have suffered at the hands of that cruel, evil, pathetic excuse of a human. You are so strong, so intelligent and so generous to speak out and hopefully help others. ❤

The ONE relief in this is how her niece is personally ending generational abuse. I hold faith other's come forward (ruby's kids) and have similar recovery & awareness

Yeah so we can learn what being internet attention Thirsty looks like she is just as thirsty as her mom. She wouldn't use our platforms to bring awareness about her siblings. She wasn't running to the news stations to get help for her siblings. Only now after everything already happened. She's just as sick

@Brea95 Jessi can use those pronouns , nd I can use other according to her biological sex. That's doesn't diminish any part of my message and admiration for her courage and intelligence.
