- All you need to make these bed rails and roof racks are 4x 8M 1.25 150mm bolts and 2x 6M 1.00 130mm bolts. All rest can be customized according to the materials that you have. I made bed rails and a roof rack for a 2011 Honda Ridgeline out of wood.

Great build!
You nailed it ,now submit it to a manufacturer
Thanks for sharing--much appreciated! Is there a reason you used 2 x 3's instead of 2 x 4's for the standards? Is there any reason not to leave the screws in the bottom of the bed (under the standards)? Also, how is the refrigerator rack attached? (I assume some kind of livestock fence panel would work, eh?) Thanks again!
Hello, No reason for the 2x3's. I wanted to keep the frame as sleek as possible. 2x4's would work. I removed the screws under the standards because the head of the screws prevented level contact with the bed. Metal plumber's tape can hold the metal rack. You don't need much because the trim keeps it from sliding. Yes a livestock fence panel would work. Make sure the gauge is thick enough that the wire is rigid. Flexible wire doesn't work as well. (I tried it first and had to scrap it)
@@CTnaturalist: Thanks again for posting this -- I found it invaluable. Here is how mine came out (will need to fill in a few details that got cut off at the end, but this is basically it).
