For anyone out there about to put one of these on their truck, consider that if you are going to put the rack furthest forward and furthest back and only keep it in those spots, the “foot” of the rack will be sitting over the mounting bolts, therefore, if you don’t want the entire track on the bed rail, you can cut just the 4 pieces you would need under each foot. And it is also possible to cut each upright down at least 10 inches. It takes a little cutting and trimming work, but your RTT won’t be up there in the wind. Cheers.
Do you have any photos of video of this. I want to buy this rack, but the downside of not being able to remove it (due to the tapered bed of the ridgeline) was something that is holding me back
@@dave8396 What year Ridgeline do you have? Mine is a 2019 and the bed isn’t tapered. Still, even if tapered there should be no reason not to be able to slide the rack off with the loosening of a couple of bolts for the cross bars. I’m going to do a video soon and I’ll link to it. I have a 180lb RTT on it and it seems slightly shaky, which, if you do any overlanding could turn into a real rattle-trap. Unfortunately, there is a sweet spot between products that let you put up a rack AND also a bed cover. If I didn’t need a bed cover, I might not have gotten this rack.
The rack is a Vantech P3000, Vantech has a site and there may be others that carry it. Lomax is the tonneau cover. I really like it and never regret buying it. Now if you saw my truck these days, you wouldn't not see the ladder rack on it, because it can make a whistle, but it can also impede the opening and closing of the tonneau cover. When I use both, I have to slide the rear rack either to the front or off to get bed access. Also, the tonneau cover itself will partially impede the opening of the chest in the bed as well. (Based on the inner mount of the cover, due to the rack mount needing the rail space.). I hope that makes sense. I said a lot there.
Yes. I've been able to store it outside with no problems with rust or corrosion. But I still need to make a holding rack for my rack when it's not in use.
They attach to factory anchor screw holes. It appears that Honda was ready for some sort of add on like a cap or these sort of rails, potentially even for the Honda tonneau cover.

This was great! You made my install easy. Thank you!
I'm so glad. You're welcome.
god i love the old school porn music lol
Oh my gosh! I can't stop laughing. I wrote this music. I had more of a 70's funk spy/cop theme in mind. LOL!
Thanks for the video
Nice install. Considering one for my new to me 2017. Any wind noise you noticed? I'd probably keep it up year round.
I don't really notice the wind with the double rack. I have a 3rd roof mount. That one tends to whistle a bit.
Hi great install where did u buy the ladder rack and do you know if I can install it with my tonneau cover

Great video and better than the others out there. One question: Is the hardware Stainless? Thanks
Yes. I've been able to store it outside with no problems with rust or corrosion. But I still need to make a holding rack for my rack when it's not in use.
So there are holes along the top of the bedrail already? And this rack system has the rail holes spaced just right to hit the factory holes?
Yep. That's right.
@@davenkristenboughton3870 nice, thank you...
What do the rail bolts attach to under the plastic cap?
I would like to know this too.

I just installed one on my 2017 tonight
@@jvvandergrift2046 how many bolts holds the rail in place? Does it feel flimsy when you rock it?
@@RanmaP 4 I believe, to the factory screw holes.
