- I give a step by step look at how to install an OEM roof rack on my 2008 Honda Ridgeline. It's not a difficult job, but there are some tricky parts. Instruction manual can be found here:

How's the wind noise at highway speeds?
It's pretty load withought the rope trick that I showed in another video. With the rope it's not bad.

considering putting on a roof rack on my 09 wondering how bad is the wind noise?
It's honestly very noisy and aggravating. I was almost considering taking the rack back off. It's ok under 40 mph.. over 40 and it's loud. But, I found a trick that got rid of about 80-90% of the noise. Just wrapping paracord/thin rope around the cross bars.

@@EveryotherKarl i dont have a rack and i think its already kinda noisy on the highway wind noise wise maybe cause its a box basically . how do you secure the paracord to the roof rack?
@@robre6840 there are little loops on the underside of the cross bars on either end.. I tied the paracord to the loops.

I don’t actually use my roof rack-I just like how it looks. I took my crossbars off and it’s a lot quieter.

I found it on eBay.
