  • Hey Everyone, in this video we are taking a listen to the extremely impressive Stagg SX Low Volume series cymbals. This is the SXM pack which features 14" Hi-Hats, 16" & 18" Crashes and 20" Ride.
We have been incredibly impressed with the quality, sound and value of the Stagg SX low volume cymbals. These cymbals have been developed to give you the same feel and behaviour as standard cymbals at a fraction of the volume. They work really well in combination with drum kits that have mesh heads fitted to give you a completely acoustic drum set and cymbal experience that won't annoy family and friends in your house or the surrounding neighbours.
They reduce noise but they don't reduce the fun. Whilst primarily designed for practice these cymbals will also work well for low level acoustic performances and they also work well for hybrid electronic set ups.
For this video we have placed them alongside the Yamaha Stage Custom Hip set which demonstrates the potential for a compact and low volume acoustic set up.

Like with all our audio demos there is no limiting to enhance the dynamic response, no digital reverbs are used, the ambience is naturally captured with room mics. We recommend listening through headphones or speakers for the best detail.
We love talking drums so please do like, subscribe and comment. For even more information on this drum and to see so much more - you can visit our website here:

I really like the quick decay on these you hit um and they quickly decay rather than just stop or weird out forever ! So Pretty nice not my favorite manufacturer if I’m honest but I’d certainly consider them just for there sound quality and I don’t wanna get caught up in all that badge snob crap that gets expensive and not always the best the zildjian L80 are ok but very expensive not sure there really gonna get that sorta use from me … good review thanks 👍

Thanks great video for me, I'm looking at buying some low volume cymbals, this has helped me a lot.
You're playing some great beats very well also I have to say, I love the Jeff porcaro half time jazz feel groove at the very beginning especially. 👌

The crashes and ride sound great. The hats on the other hand have this annoying buzz/ring when closed. They spund much better in this video than in person

Must be pretty loud if you can still hear them with a kit with real heads

Quality wise L80 is the best on the market in my opinion but also the most expensive
