    I think this lifestyle is great when you live in a tropical environment where tropical fruits are common and cheap, but one kaki-fruit (persimmon) will cost about 0,80 to 1 euro per piece. That's a lot of money for many.

      pientje2007 I now what you mean... I'm eastern European and vegis and fruits are very expensive in winter time you just can't afford to eat just plant based foods like salads and similars even if I absolutely love them and crave for them... if I buy 1 kg of bananas for example I give it to my to kids who love them... not everyone and everywhere can be affordable to eat just plant based special where winter is hard and long. Kristina if you read this please give me some advise how should I coup with winter time

    To all the people doubting this diet, I eat raw almost 7 days a week and my blood sugar, blood pressure, blood work, and my health are the best that they have been my whole life. Obviously if you can't tell by how glowing and healthy she looks compared to a majority of Americans, then maybe you have an issue putting 2 and 2 together.

    I did the fullyraw 21day challenge and instead of one meal raw I had all my meals raw. There was an occasional meal in the week that wasn't raw but for the most part I stuck to it. I still continue to eat this way because I have noticed a HUGE difference in my energy levels and my skin has never looked better. My iron levels are increasing and I don't feel the need to nap throughout the day for 3-4 hours. I love running but haven't done so in years due to a knee injury... I'm slowly getting back into it but for the most part I don't workout. I haven't gained weight eating like Kristina does. In fact, I have lost weight!! I did alot of research and watched alot of informative videos on Netflix. This was the best decision I made for myself and although some people doubt it, I know I've never felt as good as I do now.

    Remember Christina is not a health professional who treats or monaters peoples health. She does what works for her. Because she gets extremely sick on the mainstream western diet she found another way of eating that works for her. She is not a Guru or expert on food n health but her lifestyle can be informative to others who struggle with a chronic illness that can be healed on the raw food diet. Her lifestyle can also be informative to those who are interested in eating healthier n want to learn some healthy delicious recipies. Ive learned a lot about practicing this diet from a collection of raw food youtubers like Christina. Ive also learned that I cant eat as much as Christina n that its perfectly normal for my body

    She just proved it right there. She is an avid long distance runner. That's why she's not fat from all that sugar! She's burning all of the calories before they get stored as fat. If you aren't as active as her and your on a fruitarian or diet like this you will gain weight !

    • @jabbajawz
      @jabbajawz 9 років тому +7

      Except for the fact that running doesn't necessarily lead to weight loss. It leads to muscle tissue break down, but not fat loss. You want muscle not fat. Running regularly actually causes your body to store more energy, aka fat. That is why you have a lot of people running their buts off and not losing weight.
      So her weight is definitely a result of her diet. Your body can only tolerate fat or sugar, not both. You can eat as much sugar as you want as long as you eat a low fat diet and you can eat as much fat as you want as long as you eat a low sugar diet. You can't have it both ways. The problem is that it is almost impossible to eat low fat unless you are a raw vegan and it's almost impossible to eat low sugar unless you are not getting your daily doses of fruit and vegetables.

      Ok, then explain this. I eat mostly fruit during the day until 19:00. At dinner I eat tehini, avocado, rice, bread made from rice and salad (green leaf salad, lattoce salad and beetroot/carrot salad) and some cashew. Even though I am not overweight I was at the maximal lean BMI from my height, now I am right in the middle. Meaning, I lost weight (about 5kg).
      Before adding the tehini and avocado I was loosing weight so rapidly that I didn't like it so I was forced to add it.
      I don't do any sports currently and work at a desk job.

    Kristina, yesterday I ordered the attachment for my KitchenAid mixer that will make these noodles. I am excited to incorporate these veggie noodles & sauces as a normal way of eating. I can't help but think 'surely some pioneer women in the past did this too'. Anyways, I also have a suggestion: I'd love it if you would do a video showing how you apply your makeup. I know you are young and so your skin is smooth, but I'd still like to know what you use. I am 60 yrs youngand want to keep getting younger, skin wise, and with your help, keep the doctors at bay. • @evolynena
      @evolynena 9 років тому +7

      Jeffrey Gillespie what is your job? so, you carry your vitamix to your workplace? or you have two, one for your workplace one for your home?

    • @JeffreyGillespie
      @JeffreyGillespie 9 років тому +25

      evolynena I do all of my prep on my day off. I put things in containers. I take them to work. I suppose I could buy a Vitamix (or hire a vegan chef, or whatever) so that you can make this about class warfare, or food snobbery, or whatever your trip is, but I prefer to do it the other way. Also....you're coming along with a lot of assumptions about "real" people. I came from a working class family in South Africa and built myself up to where I am now. But apparently the side benefit of eating healthy makes me "not real". LOL.

      Jeffrey Gillespie just cut it short please, there is nothing here about where you came from. it is not hard to understand what is referred to by "real people" it is about having a regular job at a work place with limited breaks. probably you are a boss that has his own fridge at his office

    Raw Italian Squahes, 4-5 of them are called for in her recipe for the sauce, as promised in this video. It seemed to me she also said she incorporated some cucumber in this video's example of the raw pasta with sauce. There are many examples of the 'spiral slicers' used to transform cylindrical vegetables into long strands of 'raw veggie pasta. The Italian Squash with your favorite pasta sauce & some basil, oregano & garlic is spectacular! (and, guilt-free).

    Such a beautiful diet. I LOVE fruit and if I have any excuse to eat fruit for a meal I will go for it. You can calculate your TDEE and see how many calories you really need and track your calorie intake to start. But yeah you can do juicing. And you might not need as many calories as she does(: You have to listen to your body and eat how much feels good(: If you don't get enough calories even then, you can start eating higher-calorie fruits like dates, bananas, mangoes, avocados, etc.

    I feel like this diet would cause my blood sugar to drop and go crazy, no protein or carbs to help level all the sugar from all that fruit.Plus missing all those vitamins and nutrients. I could also never go vegan, I am severely allergic to all nuts, peanuts and soy and Gluten intolerant.

    If all humans had to hunt animals for food then their would be a lot of people going without meat. Lions hunt. Bears hunt. Sharks hunt. Humans get their meat pre-killed and wrapped up in little plastic trays.
    There is no honour in that. No instinct to hunt comes into play. If you are someone that thinks we are supposed to eat meat then I am sure you hunt and kill your food yourselves, without weapons and tools to do so. Just like lions and bears and sharks, and other hunters do.
    Face the facts. Meat is murder. It's not a case of taking an animal, hunting it and killing it in a way that is natural to the world of a predator. There's nothing fair about it. In the wild animals hunt and they are hunted but they both have a chance at survival.
    Go vegan. I did. I'm happy, healthy, and the food I eat didn't die in a slaughterhouse. Try it.

      I understand. I’m vegan also. How ever you might need to relax: yes we don’t have claws but we also didn’t have airplanes to bring exported out of season fruit. We also never act by instinct primarily that is why we are different. We have intelligence that animals dont that is how we evolved. The difference today is that we are not surviving we are having too much of a what we need more little of. Also how do you think people survived in colder climates back then ? I am vegan because I can and I enjoy it that way for my health and to save as many animals as I can but I’m no one to denegrate another human being for feeding. There are people starving in the world what about those people?

  • @NatalieFamula
    @NatalieFamula 9 років тому +3

    what?!
    how can all of that possibly fit inside of your stomach or do you take hours for your meals?
    and how is this possibly ecologically sustainable? Think of all the energy required to produce this food for even one day for one person... if we all ate like this, the whole earth would have to be a farmland to produce this much! we would cut down all the forests. Not to mention, many of us here in the northern hemisphere cannot grow fresh veg and fruit in winter.

      Do you know how much water one person can save just by not eating meat? Apart from drinking water for animals, growing feed for livestock requires lots of energy and water with small yields. Her diet is certainly more environmentally friendly than most.

    My girlfriend and me are committed vegans, however over the past few months my girlfriend has been secretly been putting bacon chips into our dishes. They were too small to be noticable. However it all made sense after i noticed that after months of a kind of smokey pork flavor to her dishes, I found a box of bacon chips hidden in the cupboard. Since her little stunt started I really like her cooking. My question is: should I dump my girlfriend, or become a meat eater?

    • @muzzbrudr

      whether you date somebody shouldn't be based on what they eat but their personality. If you really loved her then you wouldn't mind that she is a meat eater.

    • @MrsShocoTaco
      @MrsShocoTaco 5 років тому

      That's not a question for the masses. That's something you have to deal with solo. How much does it really bother you to eat a few bacon bits? Does it make you feel like you helped murder a pig or does it just add some flavor to your mung beans? Did she betray you or did she merely trick you into trying something she knew you'd like? Don't focus on what others think of your relationship. It's yours, you have to live with your decisions, not us. If she makes you happy & the bacon bits aren't that big a deal, well, there's your answer. If you're going to hold this against her for life & secretly think that she's going to betray you at any moment, well, there's your answer. Good luck to you both

    OH MY GOD how can she eat so much? I mean ok avid runner and all that but she seems to be chowing down about 5-7 kilos of food in a day! I eat about 500g-1000g a day... if everybody was eating "fullyraw" like her we would use 7-14 times as much food worldwide... there is NO way that would be sustainable without killing off most of earths population...

    • @StarcraftSwarm
      @StarcraftSwarm 6 років тому +4

      There is NO way breeding millions of animals for food which all eat tons of produce everyday can be sustainable.

    • @MrsShocoTaco
      @MrsShocoTaco 5 років тому

      It does seem like a lot of consumption, I don't think I could do it, but honestly ,if it came down to what would be more sustainable I'd have to go with fruits & vegies. Meat requires a lot of land & people are already beginning to turn old buildings into multi tiered gardens. I just can't imagine living completely off of fruit & vegetables though, myself. My applause for those who have it I'm them

    I do the same...but, as I am living in germany where it is cold 4-6 month a year: 1) I have the salat for lunch in the afternoon and the fruits after my smoothie in the mornings 2) I have a cooked dinner every day in the winter with brown rice, potatos, sweetpotatos, glutenfree whole grain pasta and without any added fats (no oil, just a little seeds and nuts) - This will work for people in colder klimate :-)
