  • As we learned in this interview with Deb Dana, a deliberate sigh can help re-set the nervous system. Here’s an exercise from Resilience in using a sigh to return the nervous system to a state that is calm, present, positive, and resilient.

I love your kind, authentic vulnerable sharing of your own personal challenges and your coping strategies.
Sighing, the ocean, reaching out to other compassionate people. Thank you 💖

At 65 and really just learning about the parts of the autonomic nervous system and your video really points out a key point to me and that is to be able to identify the parasympathetic (rest and digest) and sympathetic (flight or fight) parts of this system. I find for me it's an ability to just realize when it is getting turned on and then to take control over it by a simple thing that you mention, your breathing and turn it off. Thanks for the video and I hope more people become aware of this!

Thank you for the interview. A question: Drinking coffee, is this a good habit, considering the importance of all this? Thanks from Brazil

Excelent, it would be nice if you added subtitles in Spanish, to all the videos. Thank you.

If the user allows, you actually can volunteer to translate and add captions. There's a setting that does that. Click the 3 dots on the bottom right after the "share" and "add translations". There, you can make it come true.

It would have been more helpful to give more regulation skills than just sighing and being in nature.

In fairness many practitioners acknowledge that we have lost much of what we used to know about connecting. And that their work is standing the soldiers of others before us.
