If you’re enjoying the video, then do please consider leaving a like as it helps the channel out. I would appreciate it! Just want to highlight the fact that I do have a speech impediment so if there are parts where it sounds like I'm talking fast, I assure you it's not intentional. I had enlarged adenoids when I was a kid and had surgery to remove them. Since then i had a severe stutter, slurred speech and obviously I talked fast. The problem with this is that to me, I sound normal. I have had speech therapy sessions which somewhat fixed my stuttering but I do still talk fast. You will notice how inconsistent my speech is throughout the video and I am trying my best to sound clear. Sorry for the lore dump but I thought it was important to point out. Not only are these videos fun to make, but they really do help with my speech.
Hey bud i never even noticed you had a speech impediment. You're doing some excellent work, sorry I put off watching this vid for so long but I wanted to watch it in full in one sitting and so I needed a Friday or Saturday night, Friday night in this case. I look forward to more of your content and I hope the algorithm blesses you. I've enjoyed everything I've watched from you!
Good video buddy! I am insanely familiar with this remake, but I still enjoy watching videos about this specific one, very good job on the video! I also was reminded about the "Itchy. Tasty." I thought it was "Itchy. Hungry." For the longest time. I'm glad the amount of time you spent on the notes because it put things in a new perspective, maybe some of the "zombies" aren't fully dead, which would be friggin crazy. Also I'm not entirely sure but I think the crimson head in the coffin is Trevor. I could be wrong but it's a lot of effort just for one zombie.
YES! This guy gets it! For me 4 was the beginning of the end of the series, VII was the closing of the casket and for me the remakes of 2 and 3 were the final nail. Great games sure, but they're just not carved of Resident Evil material like REmake was and every Resi from 96 to 05 was.
Interesting. Mashing your buttons when something has grabbed you was always the most natural thing in the world since the 90s, must be us old school gamers who can't fathom the idea of a game like Resident Evil needing a tutorial, HUD or on screen button prompts lol. Also Jill was always designed to be easier mode, which is a genius design idea I thought that I'm surprised didn't become more popular.
@@Belbecat I’d Argue Chris’s scenario was easier once he got the Assault Shotgun. There is a generous amount of ammo for it and it makes dealing with the hunters and the rest of the zombies a lot easier than Jill since you have to be more conservative with her ammo. Anyway Assault shotgun best gun in the game ❤️
You can actually jump into the water with neptune but you have to quickly really quickly turn right and she will just miss eating you but the trick is you have to be quick and that will save u alot of time by not pushing the box into the water to fry her .
On someone's video, the Tyrant can bitch slap the rocket away not sure if it's due to the easy / hard mode. And for Lisa knocking Wesker into the sweet eternal bliss only to find out he survived somehow, same with Lisa as she can't be killed, but you don't see her again.
@@jwb1981 the tyrant has a chance to deflect the rocket on normal mode. It happened to me in my Chris play through, I think it’s all Rng. I found it so funny when it deflected the rocket. Such a resident evil moment
There was one thing you missed, as part of the replayability if you manage to complete several extremely difficult requirements, then its possible to playthrough the game again and this time the guy you get the grenade launcher from as Jill will actually be alive when you reach him. I don't actually remember what happens aside from just getting to see him alive, but I remember it being such a pain in the ass that its not "really" worth it, but still nice to see they had a secret like that in the game.
Man I remember playing this game so damned much back in the day. I'm not sure if it actually is, but i remember it being far easier than the actual original. The original I do have vague memories of getting really annoyed but I was also, obviously, younger playing the original
I think objectively RE 4 and Re remake are the best games in the series. After that you can rank the RE engine games and ps1 games in any order ( besides 3make).
Zombies in this game have random health. As the max heath a zombie can have is 3800 which is the same as doom 1993's spider mastermind and a mancubus from doom 2 combined. Chris has a stronger knife than Jill as it does 11 damage compared to Jill's 9. I first played the re1 remake when it released on steam i later got the GameCube original and re zero three and four on the same system.
On Nightmare Mode Forest will come back alive and since he’s covered in grenades for the launcher, shooting him will end the game so all you can do is run away.
This is my favorite in the franchise and my favorite survival horror game of all time. For a while it was just my favorite game ever. This is a sweet overview, but I do believe B.O.W. stands for bioorganic weapon, not biological weapons of war.
While I like the game, I think what makes it stand out is the visuals and art design. The actual gameplay has never been fun to me. It’s like they took the first game and just made all the puzzles and everything more tedious and take way longer. Never thought the Lisa Trevor stuff fit either.
I don't think Enrico was pointing the gun at Jill or Chris. I think he was trying to avoid missing the real target in the back and didn't want them to be a casualty mid crossfire.
@@JODA93 He was definitely pointing the gun at Chris. He didn’t point the gun at Jill because he knew who ever shot him was a male. He even accuse Chris for being a double crosser. he never raised his gun at Jill which is an important hint to the player that whoever the traitor was is male. The two suspects at the time would have been either Barry or Wesker. Or even in Jills case, maybe even Chris.

I love the remakes (besides 3) since it's what got me into the franchise. I loved the RE2 remake, but it's not on the same level as RE1 remake. The problem i have with the remakes is the amount of content that gets cut from the original. RE4 did this and then repackaged it a year later and sold it as DLC (separate ways was great tho) This RE is 100% the best in the franchise. If only we went back to this style. RE7 tried it, but the second half of the game just sucks. RE2 tried it but the difficulty adjustment ruined it (you get punished for picking ammo and herbs, like WTF)

Resident Evil 1 Remake is a prime example of how remakes should be done in video games.
Crazy how well it was done in 2002 but certain dev companies still struggle to get it right over 20 years later.
