It would be hilarious if you went back to the apple store immediately to get it repaired. Let them wonder how you managed to wreck the phone in less than a day.
There’s kinda no point of doing this kind of video. If you compare drops they’ve got to be identical. If not then you’re comparing different things. Idk , I think it’s stupid doing it this way.
Cheers in Australia! Watching on my newly setup iPhone 16 Pro Max. So happy the case shipped in today. Quickly installed the screen protector and a Casetify Ultra Bounce case. This phone is huge
I ran over my 16 Pro Max with a steam roller and the glass cracked. Apple lies! Seriously though, these results are consistent with the excepted type of improvement the glass is supposed to have. Meaning cracks don’t spread as far. And “glass is not glass”. That’s like saying “all cars can wreck, therefore, they’re all equally dangerous”.
Can we get a review of the camera control with the different ESR cases? I actually always use ESR products and super curious as to how these perform against something like the apple case’s built in button.
The 16 pro stopped working at drop 4 but better screen durability because of the ceramic shield. So the whole phone wasn't cracked, only like the edges.
It looks like the concrete is textured and uneven. This creates a lot of variability in your experiment. I'd suggest doing this on a uniform surface IF the objective is to test the two phones head-to-head. But otherwise, thank you for putting this out!
Ceramic glass is glass combine with materials that makes it harder to break or scratch but it’s still has glass in it so won’t shatter into millions of pieces but it will crack
This was interesting but the phones are different weights. To make the test more scientifically viable the drop heights might need to account for weight differences. The 16 pro is heavier and physics still applies. So, I'm even more impressed with the 16 pro.
Having the curved edges on the titanium and glass gives is a seamless feel when you slide you finger on it or when you hold it in the hand but the glass will get impacted way easier cause its higher than the metal. Giving it thinner bezels only makes it even more sensitive. But hey, just use a case or don't drop it and most importantly, Apple Care 👍
At the risk of stating the obvious a case on a phone can only help with durability. I do look forward to the days when phone cases become obsolete though. Think of the resources saved.
Hahaha He’s always flying to AU for this. I guess it’s where the 16 Pro comes out the very first because of the timezone. Ao he can buy, record and upload it like 18 hours earlier or something I don’t know hahaha
I hope everyone who’s just received their brand new phone sees this video and either returns it under the 14 day exchange or buys a rugged case 😂😂😂😂😂 nothing surprises me from Apple, they’ve released the phones and the AI software upgrades aren’t releasing until sometime in 2025 😂😂😂 just in time for iPhone 17
Flying to Australia so you can be first to upload is a new level of dedication
This looks exactly like the same exact video from last year
Apple fanboy lol
These type of videos are getting old
Absolutely! And two years in a row
I saw another channel try to post an early drop test as well. Jon Proser and Sam's videos are more entertaining though.
It would be hilarious if you went back to the apple store immediately to get it repaired. Let them wonder how you managed to wreck the phone in less than a day.
at this point Sam is going on with the tradition of EverythingApplePro
Really wish everythingApplepro still made videos. His cases are great!
Putín Owns EverythingApplePro 😂 that’s why he is missing in action.
I believe he still does a video after the iPhones are released. Like a week or 2 from now. He made a video last year
@@MikeHenderson-tm1hswhat
Tim is furious and you're not getting invitation to Apple event again 😂
He just bought two new phones. That makes Tim happy.
rmwhosetheboss explained this 2nd gen ceramic shield well which actually matches with what is happening here.
It looks like the 16 had one REALLY bad luck fall in the beginning but then it really started to show some muscle, so to speak.
AUR NAUR
Our concrete is strong in Australia 😂
Make sure you get Apple care 😂😂😂
The difference between unusable and really unusable. But well, the display dead after four drops is unacceptable.
To be fair it could have been very different result with a even slightly different impact angle
Who is dropping their phone from that height? The 16P did really well outside of that top height side drop
There’s kinda no point of doing this kind of video. If you compare drops they’ve got to be identical. If not then you’re comparing different things. Idk , I think it’s stupid doing it this way.
Welcome to Australia for the second year !
It’s kind of annoying how Apple didn’t fix the structural problems of last year
It’s worse now 😢 14 Pro Max was the best structure wise.
I would say this needs a redo…
8:47 I'd rather have a cracked screen that works, that a non cracked screen that doesn't show anything!
You’re crazy. Dude 😂
He makes more from the video than the phone costs 😂
what ruined things is how the 16 died too early smh. had it stayed this would be a mad result
"God damn Apple. We had expected it to be better this year, but it's not."
My goddd I was waiting for your video
Bro it is 5 am in Ohio…. DOES THIS MAN SLEEP. !??!?!?
😂😂
This man like Everything Apple pro
But he uploads... EAP uploads once a year now.
These videos mean nothing to us who treat our phones with care.
Seems like you should have done this on a RUBBER mat 😂😂😂
Sam is being Everything Apple Pro Jr.
Ohh weird that a impact on the same corner 4 times.. Bends the hole frame! What a shock!
Please tag this drop test to Apple . So they should test the same at their end
I’m happy from the beginning for the 15 Pro Max 🤩🤩
You coming down here to us to trash tech that’s even more expensive for us poor Aussie bastards is my annual highlight.
Been waiting for this all week! Thank you good sir!
Today: Apple discovers why other companies have thicker bezels
iPhone day by day making Lower quality phone
What a day iPhone 16 comes out Sam just beats the crap out of it lmao that’s what you get for Apple intelligence lmao much love
Imagine being the person building this, knowing how it will be used 😅🤣
I wish to get same type of drop test of 16 pro max ❤
Come to Australia every year for the iPhone release coz I wanna meet u Sammmm!!!
Can't wait to get my 16 pro max today and thanks sam for doing this drop test video I always enjoy your content 🙏
I haven’t cared about these videos but I’m going caseless this time.
Its like I both want to watch but also cringe at each drop and my brain yells ouch
Drop 4!?!?!? CRAZYYYYYY!
Stacked battery with aluminium frame is visible 😂
sad to see apple completely ignoring the build quality after they started this whole titanium thingy
Cheers in Australia! Watching on my newly setup iPhone 16 Pro Max. So happy the case shipped in today. Quickly installed the screen protector and a Casetify Ultra Bounce case. This phone is huge

Amazing Video
Can we get a review of the camera control with the different ESR cases? I actually always use ESR products and super curious as to how these perform against something like the apple case’s built in button.
Results are Inconclusive … more 16 pros need to be tested before we can conclude that it is indeed stronger
This is why I get otter box defender pro xt clear case each year even though I'm not clumsy
Let's be honest, they all gonna broke if we throw them xd
Nice 👍🏾 job love drop test
Try and add slow motion to your drop test when the phone hits the ground
Huh, didn't think UA-camrs still did these...
The 16 pro stopped working at drop 4 but better screen durability because of the ceramic shield. So the whole phone wasn't cracked, only like the edges.
He’s done it again!
Bro I am big fan of you from
India
1:01 first Ceramic Shield Apple makes on iPhone 12
There goes the iPhone 16 y'all 😭
i’m not feeling great about upgrading after seeing this buuuut my uag monarch case got me…. hopefully. and applecare
would be interesting to see an apple watch aluminium vs titanium (and x-ion vs sapphire) durability tests
My 15 pro max losts some paint on corners with waist drop on tiles
It looks like the concrete is textured and uneven. This creates a lot of variability in your experiment. I'd suggest doing this on a uniform surface IF the objective is to test the two phones head-to-head. But otherwise, thank you for putting this out!
Ceramic glass is glass combine with materials that makes it harder to break or scratch but it’s still has glass in it so won’t shatter into millions of pieces but it will crack
Bro how it Apple making the phone weaker each year.
50x more durable 😂 yeah I'd say 50x more marketing lies than any other year!
literally no one said 50x more durable. you just made up something in your head and then got mad at it
I was waiting for this
This was interesting but the phones are different weights. To make the test more scientifically viable the drop heights might need to account for weight differences. The 16 pro is heavier and physics still applies. So, I'm even more impressed with the 16 pro.
This is an absolutely ridiculous video and I love it!
Crazy how the 15 pro broke when you got it first lat year and now it's better. Interesting 🤔
Is that even real titanium? It’s stronger than steel! That must be a blend or apples own version of it. wtf?
The 16 is heavier so it makes sense it would experience more damage in similar chassis
No scientific or real-world information here, but always fun to destroy things nonetheless! Fun stuff.
I saw the first draft before you replaced it. 😊 like both. 👍🏼
I didn’t I tried and it was removed 😡😡😡
Wow! Happy it stayed the second time.
One of the downsides of thinner borders
So it’s getting worse and worse every year after 14 pro max
15 is the Goat
give it to Hugh Jeffreys to repair them
Your camera person should probably tell you if you’re level. I know that’s not real life scenario, but it would be nice to see.
I have the iphone 15 and i got the same corner damage with the crack on the screen.
Unlucky test, the fall probably shattered or unplugged a connector and the screen died, law of murphy
Why drop the phones that high especially in the beginning. It’s not how you gonna use them in real life
Having the curved edges on the titanium and glass gives is a seamless feel when you slide you finger on it or when you hold it in the hand but the glass will get impacted way easier cause its higher than the metal. Giving it thinner bezels only makes it even more sensitive. But hey, just use a case or don't drop it and most importantly, Apple Care 👍
Podia testar o 14 15 e 16, porque parece que o 14 é mais resistente até hoje
seriously they are putting ceramic sheild on the 16 series
in this video it all proves fake
I’m convinced you’re not a real person
Luv u sam 🫶🏻
Im gonna take a wild guess and say it's the same exact material as before and they are making false claims.
They feasibly can’t do that but ok bro
At the risk of stating the obvious a case on a phone can only help with durability. I do look forward to the days when phone cases become obsolete though. Think of the resources saved.
Damn!! Australia!!!
Sam is a mad lad
inevitably
Should report to the Apple Store about there product , so that they will make more heavy duty quality,
nice it breaks easily but the glass will survive
Sam the goat
Awwwww
Oh my God, I shuddered! What a waste!
Why does the Drop Test need to be in Australia? So iPhones gets damaged a lot in Australia when dropped?
Hahaha
He’s always flying to AU for this.
I guess it’s where the 16 Pro comes out the very first because of the timezone.
Ao he can buy, record and upload it like 18 hours earlier or something I don’t know hahaha
14-17* haha
He could also go to Japan. He would save a lot of money and have much more fun 😂
Timezones
This test is a joke, u can test 15 vs 15, and get different results.. its completely random and depends where it hits
16 pro has metallic shell for battery ?
Yep!
@@AppleTrack please make a video on internal changes of new iphone from last year 15 pro. i want to know what are improvements in thermals.
16 pro dead but touch is good 😂😂😂 so what can i do for this
Emotional damage 😅
Pathetic quality still breaking
