Thanks once again for the shout-out brother! Nice video as always! This boat is definitely Awesome! They killed it with this one! I'm at Interstate speeds with mine so far 😏 Love it!
I know I've said it before, but the battery plug setup is awesome the way they are mounted. I hope they start implementing this on everything. If they could create kits for certain vehicles that would be great. I'm including all brands, not just Horizon, great idea! Edit: Forgot to say thank you for another great video!
Thanks again for another great review! What an awesome boat! I wasn’t interested in RC boats until I saw this video! This is epic! Hope I can get one in Australia! 😁
I bought the original Sonicwake 36 back in 2019 or 2020 and it burned me. Had a bad transmitter out of the box, but Horizon took care of that. Main thing was constantly melting solder at the battery connectors. Swapping from EC5 to QS8 connectors helped, but that was a good bit of money. Then eventually the ESC went bad and I dropped big money for whichever 150A it is that some company sets up specifically for the SW36, and after 1 or 2 runs, my boat went upside down, wouldn't self-right after a minute (it was normally a long ~40 second process anyway), then smoke started coming out and it exploded. I quit RC boating after that lol I think the crappy battery mounting system let the batteries loose from a high speed crash, since in Horizon's brilliance, they had nothing that really held batteries captive from fore/aft movement. I stuffed foam in there to help prevent it, but it must not've been enough.
My NEW 48 Super Sonic takes on a lot of water. I did a tank test and found out the LEDS are letting water in. I removed the LENS covers and sealed them with plumbers caulk. No more leaks. Does your LEDS lights leak? Please let me know. Thank you Sir.
That’s a real boat. I said “on an RC boat”. It being a smaller scale and hardly visible during most normal running conditions can be viewed as weird. But yes, cool nonetheless.
I get the attraction of a boat that comes out of the box ready to rock but damn, you get a carbon fibre twin motor for less money. That said horizon will have these flying off the shelf so i'm probably the one in the wrong lol
well, while i love the sonicwake all around(no mods),i love all the extra-features this has,as well as the color-scheme,but im not crazy about the size compared to the '36-V2'...the '36' regardless of model and colors seems to have a faster, more agile performance, had they packed all the extras into the '36 V2' THAT wouldve been the perfect mix.however im very sure this larger model is also a blast to control, just doesnt appear to be as blistering-fast,my guess is the size-diff.
Yep, I think the 36 is a decent size if you have some nice water around, if they make a 36 V3 with the grease catch, the quarter turn bolts and the battery trays than it's a easy choice.
It kinda does. Also, run times are seriously next-level short for anything satisfyingly fast on the water compared to off-road buggies/trucks. The extra space, general lack of obstacles, and the loading put on the powertrain means you'll be seriously hammering batteries, possibly melting solder and/or connectors. And ultimately, water is water. Rough water isn't all that fun since you can't rip it as much, and flat water's the same whether it's this one pond or that lake over there. Nothing like the variety of terrain that off-road has. Running laps on an off-road track also has wayyy more meat-'n-taters to sink your teeth into as you practice and refine your skills at taking corners and timing jumps to get laps faster / more consistently with less crashes. Just way more to chew on there compared to aimlessly running around in the water. Even the RC boat racing is so limited since it's so few and far between. There's actually one of the strongest RC boat racing groups/clubs where I live (Huntsville, AL), but I was so bummed out to see that the only RC boat racing done, at least here in the USA, is with crappy oval courses rather than having left & right turns like what stand-up jetski racing has.

I heard about your speeds before the release. 😆 Awesome! I just had to suggest people check out your channel too. 😎
@@rcdriver Yes, Thanks a ton appreciate that! I caught that once I had time to watch all of your vid. 👊👊👊👊

That setup inside the hull is super clean. They did an incredible job with the cosmetics and performance. I love a clean tidy hull interior.

Never wanted an RC boat till I saw this running footage. Guess size does matter.
I don't even need to ask any questions. Thanks for the thorough, awesome review!
This looks really nice
Thanks for the review greg!!
That looks like the perfect boat for anyone. That self righting feature is a blessing for all
But it looks so strange just floating upright. That left lean just standing still looks awkward. 😐
Perfect boat I want one.
Excellent review bud!

Great footage jumping the wake. Cool boat!
It was a blast and a little tricky since I was driving with one hand and had a camera in my other hand.
OMG !!! this boat looks so awesome, great review 👍
Thats a nice boat, looks pretty stable.
That thing has to look super cool ripping around the water
I must have it ! I love my sonicwake ! Now I need the big brother !
That looks awesome!
Looks like a nice day on the lake with one sweet boat👌
It’s was really hot, but the spot and the boat made it all worth it.
700 bones for a plastic hull?? Oh gawd😢
What a beast 😮
That’s sick great review.
If I had the money laying around, I would definitly buy one!
The price of this thing is wild.
Supa.. Supa Sonic WAKE 🎶🚤💨

Nice! In the 80`s i have a nitro-Cat with a KB 11 ccm3 outboard. 52 knots on policeboat-radar
Those old K&B outboards were really cool! I remember tuning some over the years.

They all leak... just read the reviews.
Mine is only running 38mph. What am I doing wrong? Gence Ace 120c lipos
WOW Awesome RC Boat but why didn't they put led in the front also like Yellow to match the paint scheme and Night Rips ???
There's no spray in the front for lights to make glow
yep old canopy the blind nuts spin 3 or 4 , great boat bigger coming lol
Xlx2 hydra and a big TP motor for mine!!
Transom lights aren't weird btw... I have them on my 2025 pavatti wake board boat.

Can you make a video comparing the M4 one to Spartan SR?
I know the number on it is 48, not 46, but it reminds me of Valentino Rossi blue and yellow Yamaha race motorcycle. My racing hero.

did you mess with trim tabs?

Night run, night run!
This boat is amazing, but the background is also very very nice. Where is the location ? Greetings from Germany
Thanks! It’s Candlwood lake in Connecticut in the US. I miss going to Germany to attend the Toy Fair. Thanks for watching!
Idk man for that kind of money Id go with a TFL zonda, its 41 inches long and is a lot faster stock.
NICE...
knife-edge turn fins? I wonder if this thing's going to be a turtle decapitator
You can fillet your fish
Wonder how it act and look as a carbon fiber boat
Rc Driver of all the Rc Boat you tried out. What would one like a real boat?
I keep coming back to wanting a boat but, every time I do I watch some videos and it just looks like it gets boring quickly. Opinions?

Love it how much
Do boats always just chew through batteries? I got some 9K 6s power in. My tfl genesis and it lasts about 10 minutes
10 min is good going, my 5k 3s lipos last 4 min in my Sonicwake 36 v2.
@@SkyrayModels sheesh. My boat is only rated for 6s but the esc is 8s so I kinda wanna try 8s batteries and reduce the throttle to 75%
Propellers are not efficient

TOP VIDEO TEST 😊 GREETINGS FROM ITALY BY XTREME RC MODEL
Thanks so much! Love Italy, I visited NovaRossi many years ago.
That boat is screaming I need a way bigger prop lol
Yup, because RC Guy's have more fun, ain't nobody having more fun than us 🤷🏿♂️, Nah!!!
SUPER High Price for a plastic hull. WTF?
A boat of that size should be fiberglass.
No. Abs is better
Seems to be doing just fine
fiberglass would be better
Would be better.
No fiberglass cracks on hard crashes. Carbon is best but would be a 1500 dollar boat in carbon. ABS is the best choice for this one
Who don’t they make boats in fibreglass, carbon fibre ?
I’m sure there would be a market for that…other brands do.
🙋🙋🙋🙋🥰🥰🇪🇪🇪🇪
I was sold on it until I seen it has spektrum electronics I've lost alot of money buy spektrum junk and they do not stand behind there products
Stop the music 😊
No way 😄
Cool boat but it needs to be repainted
Price is not really worth it and batt and charger separately say a 1000 boat
For others it is worth it. 🤷♂️
Awesome boat, but sadly it's from Horizon Hobby. And in Europe Horizon Hobby does a terrible job providing spare parts.
Not only parts, providing RCs is also insufficient…
@@RCenPLS I have had great customer service from Logic RC here in the UK.
A boat out of plastic never can be good. I never would buy a proboat
What a beast!!!
