Two doors, single cab, manual transmission? I’d buy one as soon as it’s available. I’d replace my 1985 BRAT.
That sounds like a great choice for your next vehicle upgrade!
As you said, "The Japanese auto maker has been pretty quiet about the details..." If so, why do this segment without knowing details? I'm sure if they offer a manual transmission option, it will probably be intentionally paired with the weakest most neutered engine and then they can claim nobody wants to buy a manual.

Everyone watching this video must immediately research the “1963” chicken tax research it on you tube. Subaru would be “FORCED” to built this vehicle in either USA,CANADA or Mexico otherwise this truck would be subject to a “25%” tariff you can all say thank you to
“L.B.J.”
That's an interesting historical tidbit about the "1963" chicken tax. Thanks for sharing!
@@GearheadGlam “LBJ” was kissing huge ass with president of UAW union initially “CHICKEN-TAX” was going to be Tariffs on European
“AGRICULTURAL” products imported into USA light commercial trucks was added into equation to screw over Volkswagen specifically but shafted the Japanese automakers also. “HOWEVER” the most insulting aspect of this “TARIFF” “ALL” of the “AGRICULTURAL” aspects of this
“TARIFF” have been “CANCELLED” or “EXPIRED” a long time ago however the “TRUCK” aspect of this tariff still enforced.
Ford brought in “TRANSIT” vans in passenger version with basic back seat and then at a USA facility removed back seat put in panels in side doors and back doors to convert it to a commercial vehicle to dance around the chicken tax. Guess what “GUBMINT” isn’t stupid when it comes to grabbing money. I suggest you type in chicken tax on you tube especially if you are a truck aficionado you will have plenty of conversation material to share with people that aren’t knowledgeable of how the “GUBMINT” shafts the citizens😡🤬
