I feel you with the 5th position. I can wing my feet super nice in the air to make it look like I have good turnout but when it comes to 5th or any position, it's rough. My thighs get in the way and my butt sticks outb😫😂

This turnout workout is so so useful and helpful! Turnout seems to be a big negligence of lots of normal workout regiments, because people may feel too painful or not flexible enough to do these workouts. It has always been a struggle but I am so happy that I discovered your videos!!! I do admit Degage front/side one, I cannot keep my other leg's knee to the floor while the working leg is point to 90 degrees. Can you make a beginner turnout workout video?

I just started a class at 27 (it's kind of an intro that you have to go through to get to a beginner class) and looking at myself in the mirror I always feel so bad that the most i can do is a 40 degree tops when lifting my legs to the side because of my tight hips and crappy turnout. It looks unwieldy, choppy, and quite frankly not very graceful. While doing this workout I could feel it working on my problem parts, so I am very thankful for the video! Will try to do it every day and hope for the best.

How are you supposed to do the inside stretch when your arm isn't that long? I cant seem to stretch the leg because it pulls in my shoulders and arms instead of the leg :( Am I still too unflexible or is this really an issue of the individual body types?

I felt the same way until I noticed that I was using the wrong arm! It is the opposite arm than the leg! Hope this helps!

How do I do the back leg exercise with open fifth? My hips don't allow for a closed position. It pushes my leg and hips off the floor.

i can't do it either, don't worry, grab from the front and engage the leg in turnout while pulling it towards you with your hand
also, notice it is the left arm grabbing the right leg. for me the reason i don't do that grip is because i have a wrist injury.
@@chilanya yes, gripping it in another way makes me feel my turnout or inner thigh stretch. Let's see if it actually gets better with time :D
