Can you imagine how annoyed the people at sonor were when they were told that Nicko is not going to need a new kit as he is now endorsing the bdc a company he partly owns, I Wonder how much it cost sonor to make the two kits he had after premier going bust.

I don't understand how Nicko can play the 15 and 16 rack toms when the ride is right in the middle of them.
BTW, it's really great to see some drum kits in heavy metal/hard rock sizes these days.

That's because they're selling a brand and an image above all else. I'm sure the music comes 1st of course, but if you have that kind of cash and endorsements, you wanna keep the cash rolling in thru live show attendance and physical merch sales bcoz the audio sales alone have all but disappeared in the UA-cam etc age

Bullshit. Fans are going to see them play their great songs, at a great volume with great professionalism. Period.
All the other gimmicks, are just icing on the cake.

Those rack toms are friggin huge. Plus sitting on a 24 kick. Nicko must be one tall dude
He's about 6' tall. He sits on his throne at an average height as well with his knees about 90 degrees, but he has everything angled so that he's not playing "down" on his kit, everything is facing him. It's definitely a unique setup, but surprisingly comfortable and playable when you're sitting behind it. He doesn't seem to have any issue!
No he's not. I'm six foot and he's much smaller. All of maiden are small so he looks tall

Mayan and aztec are not the same!!! He uses mayan decorations on the whole set and then an aztec calendar on the bass drum!!!!

that is an absolutely gorgeous drum set beautiful the only thing I can see wrong with this entire kid is a 6 by 8 has a weird angle to it did anybody else notice that. it would just be really hard to hit that sitting down you would have to stand up to get a good role on it. I have a big set of pearl session costumes with all the same size shells and I can get a better angle on my 6 by 8 then he can. I don't understand sonar must have made that wrong. I'm just looking at it it doesn't look right but Nikko's a badass drummer he's got a badass drum Tech freaking sonor cymbal stands are off the hook!!! I love those great sonar logo big gigantic. I play a humongous drum set everywhere I play I'll never downsize. I leave all my microphones all my cables are attached to my drums I also have mics in side my kick drums I don't have any thing inside of my kick drums and they sound f****** killer I like Maple shells I've never played Birch shells so I don't know what they sound like as far as playing behind them. but I can say this Nikko's badass.
Nicko actually mentioned this in an interview about the kit. There was a limitation of the hardware on the 6x8 that prevented it from being angled the way he'd need it to be played while sitting down. He also mentioned that he rarely plays the 6x8, and would only do so during a big fill at the end of a song where he stands up anyways.
The six can only be played standing up. sonor made a fault on the tom holder. He says on his rig down video. by the way his shells are Beech not birch. It Is a very common hard wood found in Europe. Most of the old 70s and 80s Sonor drums were beech shells.

Most of the top guys play dw pedals bro ... ok just to name 4 tico torres and tre cool and travis barker and jason bonham all play dw pedals without playing dw drums... maybe do so homework on stuff first brother.... the amount of top guys who play dw pedals while being endorsed by other companies is a lot.. oh and nicko obviously as well
Ticonderous1 OK smart guy. Gavin Harrison, Jojo Mayer, Thomas Haake, Steve Smith and Nicko all play sonor drums. 2 use DWpedals, 2 use Tama pedals and one plays a sonor pedal. Lots of people play DW pedal that aren't endorsed by DW but lots of guys use tons of other stuff as well. So maybe don't assume that people don't know anything just because you think you know everything.

The snare is a 14x5 BIRCH (not beech - the rest of the kit is beech, but the snare is birch), with Remo Emporer X Coated head.

Nicko never had a great tom sound - great player, but he'd really smoke on smaller toms.
