Got another question today was the first time out since I put it on. When I went in reverse the motor pooped up. It didn’t do that before. Any ideas?
Would this work on a 1985 60hp johnson ? Has an old tilt only pump on it now . Tilt # is EV 0173260
Do the original Johnson mounting holes in transom align with hole options in the CMC Unit? I am hoping to minimize the number of holes I need to plug up in the transom. I have an '86 Johnson 50. Holes from your 40 should be the same. Thanks
Yes they align. I had no problem mounting it in the same holes.
How put big carb on 40hp motor johnson 1998 model tiller with power trim wish had steer wheel
Did you add that aftermarket? Or did the motor already have one?
I added it after I bought the motor. It´s a simple installation.
I just got my CMC. Did you need any Spacers to mount your motor to it?
No spacers needed i my case.
what size propeller were you using? am very curious....
I don’t know what size, but it is the original prop. The black prop. Hope it helps you.
Their was a noticeable difference once you began tilting. Motor sounded better and boat lifted instead of plowing
What CMC unit is that? Pt-30 or PT130?
Hi, this is a CMC PT 130. Handles outboards up to 130 hp. Works great.
Did you pick up any top speed?
Don´t know, didn´t check but it definetely handles better.
How much did you pay
It’s preowned, I think it was about 500 dollar.
