      @@TheTechGiantUA-cam Great Channel! My son and I have both Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles and have been checking out your videos on advice of a friend... I have the LG CX as well for a month+ now and had some issues in the beginning so I upgraded my cables to the only reasonably priced {CERTIFIED} 48Gbps 2.1 HDMI cable I could find that works properly. Unless a longer cable is absolutely needed I recommend using the 2m/6.5ft size or the shortest length that will work for you.
      I also upgraded the TV'S firmware (If your current version is working well enough I suggest everyone put off updating your current version for at least a week or 2 and turn off auto updates. Its a well known fact that LG and many other companies rush and they push out flawed firmware versions at times. About 6 - 7 months ago my friend had a perfectly working B9 until an auto update made it unwatchable until the next update...) latest US version 3.11.30. My live football games play smoothly now and over all picture quality and functionality are working as thet should and better now. 4K videos and game play are astounding. If after you guys update your firmware you still have these issues I suggest trying a set of these cables.

    Oh my goodness!!! My LG WebOS HDMI quit working and I just bought it. I live alone and thought I was going to have to return it. Tried your suggestion and both started working again 😃. I absolutely love you. Saved this old lady some grief.

      Just bought the CX as well, was sick of all the issues with Samsung tvs Ive own over the past 11 years or so, just to find this same issue on LG as well

      I I’ve had the tv for 3 weeks now. No issue yet! Make sure you update the firmware and it’ll be fine.

      @@MrRiffbear1 tsk. k, i will have to decide soon, plan to purchase 65 oled, qled or sony etc in about 2 weeks.
      still open to suggestions, a lot of money to have issues out of the box or low working hours.
      i know generally the lg is the champ. but will take less for reliability.

    No problems with my LG C9 Paul. Never had ANY issues so far! Had it since February 2020. Really happy with it. Anyways my friend! Hope you get it sorted soon 👍

    Very information. My LGCXOLED55 just made a load noice and died. Its only a month old. It’s being picked up tomorrow. I had a 40 inch Samsung for 19 years and not one problem!!

    Great info. My CX has all kind of issues but technician found out that the speakers are faulty, software and panel also needs to be replaced. Glad I will have my CX back up to tip top shape. My Q90T had done a great job standing in and will be put in my Kids game room. The Q90T looks good but the CX looks great.

    Brilliant, nice one. I never had the issue for 2 years (same TV, same cable, same hdmi port) until I started messing around with the HDR picture settings. All of a sudden I started getting the no signal thing and had to keep pulling out hdmi cable and resetting. So far this fix is working

    Took delivery of my 65CX four days ago and everything worked perfectly until today. Checked set top box, cables and everything else I could think of - to no avail. Came across your video just in time to stop me from blowing a fuse... Unfortunately, the fix suggested hasn't worked either. I'll unplug everything and hope for the best in the morning.
    I am incredulous that a problem that has clearly existed for some time has not been addressed by LG. Unacceptable really.

    I recently purchased a Samsung 55" Class S95B OLED 4K Smart TV (2022). When I hooked the television up to my cable box, my cable channels came in picture clear. After turning the television off, I kept getting a Verizon Fios HDMI No Signal. I tried everything and I was on the telephone with Samsung and Verizon Fios for 4 hours trying to resolve this problem. Best Buy did an exchange with the new 2022 OLED Samsung 4K t.v. and I still would get a No Signal Scree. The Samsung T.V. channel, DVD player, and my streaming channels came in picture clear with no problem. After watching Netflix or Amazon Prime and turning to the HDMI Verizon Fios input, my cable channels came in. After a visit today from Best Buy Geek Squad, it turns out, due this being a 2022 OLED 4K Smart Television, I need to upgrade my Fios cable boxes and Router because they are antiquated causing signal difficulty from the cable box to the Samsung television.

    I got mine from Best Buy and I think I won the panel lottery. Color is perfect, no banding, no real problems. I’ve had my CX for about 3 weeks now.

    There is definitely problem with this quick start issue. Today I was having even more trouble with CX, since my PS4 Pro and other (tv box) input was switching rendomly and I had to turn off PS4 so I could have control of my CX. Definitely it needs to be addressed to LG. Cheers mate and thanks for update that suggested workaround was an success.

    Thank a lot man!🤝 My problem with the TV was that every time it was connected to the Internet, its smart system would have a problem or it would not load programs like UA-cam, and every time I had to unplug the TV cable and plug it in again, but this method solved my problem.

    I have had my LG 55EA980W since 2014, which is connected by HDMI to various pieces of equipment, and it has been trouble free, and is still providing excellent PQ.

    I was getting the same problem and discovered it was only doing it if the console was powered up before I switched on the TV. I've never had it since I changed which order I switch on.

      Mine is giving me same issues for days now I’m planning on returning it back to the store. The picture refused to come up for over 24hrs then it canes up and after electricity was gone I put on my generator and the same issue occur again I need help

    I have the same issue with my 2021 model OLED 55 A1. I connected my PC to the TV with HDMI, and i couldn't get any picture if I wanted to run my PC with the TV as a display only. (Extended display worked fine, both my monitor and TV could give me an image. But Duplicate or secondary only didn't work)
    SOLUTION: (after long search): Turn off HDMI DeepColor option.
    Press settings button on the remote -> All settings (3 vertical dots)->general->devices-> HDMI settings ->HDMI Deep Color
    Sadly this HDMI deep color also caused other issues. My media box I got from my ISP for the cable TV is connected by HDMI too. And with Deep Color settings on, i couldn't get any sound on my TV.
    BEWARE: If you trying to change the display settings under Windows for your TV to get anything above 30Hz, it will automatically activate HDMI Deep Color.

    Paul! Recently been having issues about a week now with my PS5/Series X on my LG G1.(Didn’t have issues prior to this) Anyway When I turn on the TV , my sound bar Sony HTST5000 doesn’t automatically switch channels to the appropriate HDMI ports where I have either console connected to on the TV. It remains on Apple 4K TV HDMI port and but does not switch to Correct port on sound bar which is TV input on soundbar. Okay so at this point I manually switch Apple 4K input on my remote control to the appropriate input I have Series X/PS5 and when I get there I noticed sound is on TV speakers and not on E-ARK (Why is this happening when it’s already connected. Sound should automatically be coming from the soundbar and not TV speakers) Okay so now I then manually switch sound output on TV screen to E-ARK input and Still I get No Sound from soundbar at all (I’m supposed to get sound at this point from soundbar). However all connections are connected appropriately as it should be but again not getting sound from my soundbar when I turn in my consoles. (FRUSTRATING)
    I did a factory reset on the TV and it corrected the issues at first but a few days later it’s back again.. Do you believe there’s something wrong with the TV? Is there a fix I can do to correct this issue on my end? I’m gonna do what you did in this video and turn off “QUICK START+”which I currently have on. I’m hoping this corrects the problem

    Thanks Paul, only issue I have is with my JBL 3.1 Sound Bar not automatically starting the TV in HDMI ARC output. It will think about it and the TV turns it straight back to Internal Speaker mode. I’d have to wait a minute or so before it will let me select HDMI ARC for it to change to the sound bar output. Never really had this problem out of the box, must have been an update that has caused the issue. Started out having the no signal issue for the picture but it seemed to have sorted itself out or changed it’s mind to mess with the sound bar.

    I'm glad to see an update. I've had my C9's QS+ turned off since I unboxed it and I'm guessing that's why I have never had an issue. Good to see you found out the cause.

    My sister in law recently got one of theses TVs and the bloke who set it up told her she didn’t need to connect her talk talk box because the tv does everything , obviously it doesn’t, she is used to recording programs . So I connected her box and told her to use it the same way she did before , which she could but after connecting and going back to the tv signal some of the channels said no signal. I changed back to the way it was set up and the next time I go over I will definitely be trying this. Cheers

      barely any difference. you could even take b9 and cx, use them side by side and you would not notice much difference. the biggest difference between b9 and c9 for example, is the sound. if you're wallmounting and/or using av system, you will probably never be able to tell the difference. i have a 55 inch b9 in the bedroom and a 65 inch c9 in the living room. pretty much identical.. all lg oled panels are essentially the same and while c9 have slightly higher peak brightness it also have more aggressive abl.

    Cheers mate! Worked as charm. I hooked my Nvidia shield and Blu-ray player over my Sony AV receiver and it totally confused the TV. I couldn't change between sources. Now I can simply turning off Quick Start+.

    I’m a 🦕 went to settings like you said turned off quick start , turned TV off then unplugged at power , waited 5min , back on and “Bingo” fixed ,your a legend mate 👍

    I have the LG oled65b9 about a week ago this started happening to me.
    I thought it was the sky q box as it’s 3 years old. noticed the hdmi cable was loose so brought anew one still didn’t fix problem. Then came a cross this video all working again thank you so much

    Ironically the very same issue you described happened on my C9 only yesterday for the very first time since I bought it back in November last year. So perhaps whoever suggested here if the recent update may have had an affect might be on the right lines? Anyway I've done what you suggested and turned off the Quick Start+ option so fingers crossed. Thanks Paul for posting, and also to those who first suggested this fix. Nice one.

    Instant on is a feature to cause the TV to be turned on in sync with turning on the attached component . IF THE TV is turned on first this circumvents the auto function and the TV does not recognize the component .
    You can turn off the Quick start OR just turn on the component and let Quick start turn on the TV.

    Had a sort of similar issue with my C9 and Series S. Would display a black screen, yet I could hear the sound of Xbox through speakers. Weird thing is in Home Dashboard, where you can display a small version of the input, I would be able to see the Xbox screen. However, your tip worked to fix it somehow. Very strange.

      I had the very same symptoms as you with my C1, picture would disappear bit still had sound, I had mine replaced and haven't had the issue since, I will be switching quick start off though just for good measure

    THX ALOT! I bought yesterday my new LG OLED 55C1 so the new one any enjoyed my 4k picture on my VU+4K SE. When I tried to fine tune something I got only sound left.
    Multiple checks, switch of ports later and settings resets over my LCD I saw this post. Finally I plugged the TV from power, tried to start it that the condesators loose saved power and : Now its back again. Crazy I know such errors only from old PC issues where a power supply reset helped....

    Brand new CX OLED 65", experiencing same issue after first couple of weeks. Thought I solved it with your work around however the issue came back. Very disappointed as my expectations for this model were very high! Thank you for sharing both videos, if anything they provide a very good explanation and a reference point of the issue as I was very unsure if it was the cable, the tv box or anything else.

    Well, I recently (May 2024) purchased an LG C3, and right away it encountered problems. I hope since you seem to be in touch with a community you might have some answers for me. The primary problem I'm seeking an answer for is that I use the C3 as a computer monitor, and while I'm on my PC, it randomly drops the connection and reverts to WebOS. Also, every time I turn on the TV, I always have to select the HDMI input to use my computer even though it is absolutely the only input to the C3. My other problems are that when HDR is active, it sporadically flashes a rainbow of false colors, and when I set my RTX 4090 GPU to 120Hz it causes bits of lines to flash on the screen and sometimes the TV loses connection with the PC. I'm hoping these particular problems are caused by a faulty HDMI cable even though I bought a new one rated for 8K.

    It as an LG common illness in older models ,while the processor chip on the main board de laminates ,looks like carried onto later models.
    This can happen now in other brands units with smart functions ,the processor runs very hot and it will fail.
    It is just a matter of time ,than you need the main PCB to be replaced.

    It’s been a nightmare man! Just diagnosed MS I can hardly walk now and two tumors in my fat head so I thought I’d treat myself to an LG OLED65CXPUA since I’ll have more time in my hands to watch tv. what a load of crap. It started with a vertical line on right side then another vertical line beside that one - now TODAY the thing won’t stay on!!! I turn tv on and it shuts off by itself within 30-40 seconds. I did an online chat with customer service because calling was a nightmare with language barriers. On LG Chat they had me unplug tv then press the on button under tv for ten seconds to reboot tv, then told to plug in again and presto same crap shutting off every 30-40 seconds. They said only thing to do is to connect with a repair shop so I gave them my address information as requested and they gave me a couple shops in Quebec which is almost TWO DAYS drive from me, 2500 miles!! I’m in ALBERTA Canada and the repair shop they “strongly advised” me to call for an appointment before I just go there pfffft!! Finally the chump got a globe or a real life map and. It ine of mars or Jupiter and still gave me repair shops over four hours away. Nightmare. So tv won’t stay on. I was getting used to the vertical lines but. Joe I have nothing. On a fixed income and have an expensive door stop now, sorry for the long winded ess but I’m alone and just thought I would reach out to you. Anyway take care

    @The Tech Giant - Thank you so much for this, it really was a major niggle for me. Every time I'd switch on the Xbox One or PS4 I'd have to select the input again or power down the TV down (C9) and power back on again. I couldn't believe that the TV used to suffer from this issue.     Thanks. That's one of the problem. I have another problem i.e. the TV tends to hang and nothing can be done except switching off and on.

    I had the same problem with my LG TV which I bought about 3 years ago.
    It used to be fine. When I turned on my Sky Q with the Sky remote, the TV came on & the Sky TV appeared.
    Then after a Sky software update, it stopped doing that.
    It did work intermittently, but not many times.
    If I switched my TV on first & then the Sky Q Box it also worked.
    Now, after doing what you suggested, it works every time. 😁

    Guys i had the same situation just happed. I disconected the tv cord fo 5 mins and that worked. Also turned off the quickstsrt plus option in general- additional settings

    I brought my Son a 3080 gaming PC and so far we have been battling with our LG unable to find the PCs signal every day. I really hope this works as you will be making the whole family happy.     Gosh quite intresting buddy even in 2020 "Quick Start+" feature is still causing problems. This mode has given problems for quite a few years now so it's not acutally a "new issue" as such . When I had my LG 2017 Nano model I was getting serious Wi-Fi drop outs all the time. WiFi would be perfectly fine for a while a week then all the sudden WiFi would keep dropping out, it was driving me absolutely mad I was not sure if it was the TV or my router. So I tryed switching of "Quick Start" plus and it killed the problem instantly.
    I did report this to LG at the time back in 2017 and they new of the issues back then. It designed to kick the TV on that bit quicker by keeping certain apps in its memory including WiFi but the TV just could not do it for long periods of time. So by switching off Quick Start + when you switch off the TV it completely flushes out its internal memory and kills all WiFi connections. So when you next switch on the TV it then grabs a fresh WiFi connection but it just takes a few seconds longer.. Which is perfectly fine. Its a bug and they should have that particular mode switched of by default.. Or better still fix the blooming dam bug 🐛 lol..

    Just bought a CX for the home and also own an E9 from last year, no problems with the E9 at all, but the CX has this issue, i had to turn off easy start and HDMI deep colour also!!!

    I have had the same problem, but mine also concerned my Philips Hue ambilight sync box. When I first got the TV I was struggling for ages to try and get it to play anything through the HDMI Inputs this unit was connected in-between the AV receiver and the TV, the workaround I had for this at the time was to switch the Philips sync unit on via my iPad as no settings would auto switch the unit. Since disabling the power save, this has switched on perfectly with no intervention from me. The question is; is this hardware or software related and have we had any feedback from LG concerning this issue ref a software update, or are they not aware of it.

    Yep just having the same issue with my cx so took your advice and turned of the start up + ,so hope it sorts it out 🤞
    One of the most annoying things I’ve found so far is the remote control feels like it’s back to front ,and just keep finding myself holding it the wrong way ,not sure why LG has done this ,just going to take a bit of getting use to 🤟

    Didn't work for me unfortunately. Tried an Apple TV 4k box and an Amazon Fire Stick in all HDMI ports - black screen. Spent literally hours on the phone to LG support and I know more about the settings on the current LG OLED's than they do. Unacceptable, especially considering the price these are.

    My simple fix was to program the remote button #1 to 'Gallery', pick a gallery and and when the gallery comes on the message has gone, until the TV is turned off and back on? I did not ever have just the message alone, it always appeared on top of the screen image.

    I contacted LG. They said this is normal to prevent burn in. To display the screen saver without this floating message You have to go into your gallery menu and play it from there. This also adds music to the displayed images. But I would like to have an option to eliminate the floating no signal box.

    I had this exact problem with my C9 and called LG. Basically they had me do a hard power reset. This did not work. I ended up switching my HDMI ports around moved my fire stick from HDMI 4 to 1 etc. So far it hasnt happened again. I will try this as well. Thanks.

    I had so many issues with my OLED's, as I have mentioned here. This is my third C9 - g-sync flashing and in movies etc etc. This one dont have flashing in movies, but in games. And on this one I have the oval shape bug!
    I had enough of this POS tech. How awesome the PQ may be. And very clearly banding on them all!
    So this trash are going back. Fed up with OLED = fuck OLED I say!
    Will buy a good LCD, with HDMI 2.1 insteed and I also Never have to worry about that burn in crap!

      OLED itself has nothing to do with it. If you happen to have a lot of issues with LG, buy Sony or Panasonic. But OLED as a technology is great. I have an OLED phone and an OLED TV and I am loving it! No burn in issues so far. And during pandemic I was gaming nonstop on my PS4.

      Just look at r/oled. So many issues and crap. It's absolutely not worth it IMO!

      @@pah150955able Absolutely agree. That or QNed will do. Samsung are high at work with this nextgen technology. Better then OLED and no more burn in crap = win win, so this cant come soon enough. Until then I just cave in and probably get the Sony X900H, for PS5, and some couch pc gaming!
      But right now I will get the monitor of my dreams, that just came out. Samsung 32 inch G7. Finaly a VA screen without that aweful VA smear. That's a revolution really what Samsung have done here 😁👍🏻
      240hz and just as fast as the best TN panels. Im shocked actually. So the G7 is the end all be all monitor, and it got the great HDR 600 also. This is just total insane. This is the pc gaming monitor to get!

    Just got one of these and the picture quality is fantastic, but have you experienced the TV randomly switching from an app back to LG's preprogrammed channels after several minutes? I haven't changed any SIMPLINK settings, but I also don't have any external device connected at all. Not even a sound bar. Was watching an hour long Netflix show and it reverted back to LG's channels twice all by itself.

    I’ve been having an issue with tv auto shutting down after about 4 hours
    I’ve tried the obvious solutions
    But I’ve just discovered by accident the “Auto power off” option - I was previously looking under All settings
    Settings > OLED care > Device self care > Energy Saving - has three options
    1. Energy saving step - press OFF
    2. Auto Power Off - press OFF
    3. Screen off

    For Sky Q European and UK owners.
    If this didn't work for you then use temp 1080i resolution fix by pressing (on your Sky Q remote):
    HOME-1-0-8-0-HOME
    Once you've done you can restore 2160p HDR resolution back again.

    Pc Richards influenced me to buy 5 years extended warranty and won't honor it. I have a small bird and some dry poop on the back of the OLED . Technician took one look and said bird poop is the issue we don't cover it. Never ran a diagnosis or nothing.

    I had my C9 since january 2020 and no problems whatsover. Awesome tv, I still think its the best ive seen so far, exept Panasonics top model which is by a small margin a little better picturewise

    I just purchased an LG CX OLED great TV. My issue is there a setup trick for when I turn on the TV the sound comes through the tv speakers not my sound bar. I can turn the sound bar and it works.
    On my old Tv “Samsung” when I turned it on the sound would come through the sound bar automatically. I am using ARC HDMI cable for the connection. Am I missing something? Thank you for the great videos

    Some serious shortcomings with the software on this TV.
    Two biggest bugs for me are favourites, no combined favourites from different sources having to switch from sat to dtv endlessly if you want to use favs. Secondly you can't delete channels on ours you are only able to skip them. This means you are dealing with a huge list of channels every time you need to edit anything.
    Fix it LG
