Scooped way too early in game 3 of the first match. Opponent had no cards in hand and a land on top. Should have run out Hangarback and made him close the game. Also you skipped a Lili activation.
cloysterd Yeah, that was strangely pessimistic even for Seth. If his opponent had tapped down he could have hoped to peel a VV off the top for the jank win, and usually Seth's way better at noticing those than me so he must have gone full tilt there. Pretty disappointing.
He discarded a second abrupt decay........... I have no idea why he didn't keep it. He had no answers should another ooze appear and I think those were his only two removal spells
That was a really good match vs Jund. I haven't seen a 7/8 Tarmogoyf in a long time, if ever. The Maelstrom Pulse was somehow super surprising, even though you highlighted the line you missed with Despair. This deck does look good though. Just because it didn't run well as much as it could have doesn't mean it isn't good. Even the best decks draw garbage regularly.
Hell yes! I was so pumped when you said on stream you were going to play this deck for Much Abrew! I think I might put this deck together, it looks super fun!
You deserved the win the first match. Ponza players doing ponza things. Especially game 3 where the opponent got VERY lucky. Although you may have a scooped a bit too early on game three.
Feel like you sound a bit exasperated doing the deck tech. Feel like you should do a minute or a minute and a half and if it can be shortened then do it but this is a pretty new combo that a lot of people are probably unfamiliar with even after the instant deck tech. I commented on this last week and how I felt like you improved it a lot to streamline to videos but this is tangibly worse. Small thing but feel like it should be noted. Thank you as always for the great content and you hope you have a great day 😊
The one time he plays a deck that can function off one-landers, he plays the good boy and ships them back. Plus all those time he drew to hit his land drops instead of just taking the aggro!
Seth do you know you can cast your Hangerbacks and Balistas paying mana, right? Match1 game3 cast Hangerback so he cannot attack you, next turn you attack with it so you get 2 thopters. Then proceed to kill him with the thopters and Balista.
Game 3: Your mistake was casting Despair. Not sure why you needed to cast Despair there. Courser was almost guaranteed to block the Zombie, and Ooze would kill a Vengevine putting it out of the reach of Anger of the Gods.
very cool deck :D but in game match one game 3 you could have one. you saced the neonate before attacking, so you didnt do the one point dmg you needed.
Match 1, Game 2, Turn 1, why not sac neonate immediately, pitching bridge, and make 3 2/2s? That extra damage from being able to attack immediately on turn 2 might have won you that game.
Maybe this is controversial but I don’t know if I even agree with playing green. Cathartic Reunion, more Evoke creatures like shriekmaw and some offensive discard seems SO much better.
This is what Seth said when someone else asked this question: "Much Abrew runs a week behind because I need time to actually record, edit and write the article for the episode. Unexpected Tron will be coming this week!"
Should have brought in Leyline against the zoo deck. You’re a creature deck, looking to out-grind your opponent’s Creature deck. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
That burn matchup was a funny one. I dont think he had a clue what he was doing...his best line was just to go full aggro to the face and instead he was trying to kill vengevines when you were clearly getting multiple things back a turn with sac outlets  Even if he didn't read Bridge the 1st time how did he not wise up to that? The leyline thing to protect your bridges is bizarre...like I get it, but...ugh. Seems so convoluted and a waste of spots.
We don't actually ever want to take an enchantment (we want Bridge in the graveyard) so getting a creature or land is better than creature or enchantment.
You forgot to activate Liliana while you were saying over and over again how there was possibly something could have done better to win. You also didn't activate Neonate.
meanwhile in the graveyard... hahahahahhahahahahahaha seth got so into his main strategy that he totally forgot there are other cards and srategies, in múltiple games!!!
Much Abrew runs a week behind because I need time to actually record, edit and write the article for the episode. Unexpected Tron will be coming this week!
That makes more sense, thanks for the info. I hope you don't play it on stream though, the chat is too distracting, and I'd like to see the deck in all its glory.
I think this take on bridge is just a jankyish version of dredge/hollow one. I'd like to play bridge in a GB sacrifice/graveyard shell with a more grindy/value philosophy
I do enjoy seeing Legacy but it’s not Seth’s forte. Legacy is a format that you have to be actually interested in playing in to have fun playing or watching. TLDR: Legacy is to Niche
4:01 Turn 2 kill and Seth's laughter is music to my ears...I love that you are enjoying playing MTG, Seth...😊😊
Brian, yes it was ecstatic
His laughts are priceless lmao
oh god that punt made me feel so bad..... (the one he points out himself at around 51:00 minutes)
laffytaffy0123 me too
Yeah, I wouldn't have noticed but as soon as he pointed it out I started cringing hard
He obviously didn't draft Amonkhet block
That's why you pay attention to your graveyard while playing this deck.
so brutal to watch! :(
Match 1, Game 3 I feel like Seth should have at least tried to chip in for the last few points by hardcasting Hangerbacks and Walking Ballistas.
Also he missed an attack with neoante the turn he cast liliana :p that one point ended up mattering lol
Scooped way too early in game 3 of the first match. Opponent had no cards in hand and a land on top. Should have run out Hangarback and made him close the game. Also you skipped a Lili activation.
cloysterd

cloysterd I think he skipped the lili act because the board was going to be swept. Otherwise I agree.
skipped lili bc also needed all the cards in his hand
He discarded a second abrupt decay........... I have no idea why he didn't keep it. He had no answers should another ooze appear and I think those were his only two removal spells
Daniel Gehring remember that we are the comments. It's our job to nag seth about misplays.
I'd like to see Seth this deck played on stream now that Seth's got more practice with it.
This was like a mix between Dredge and Hollow One/Gravedigger. Some of those starts were pretty impressive!
On turn 3 of game 3 you forgot to attack with the Neonate, which would have given you that one extra damage you ended up missing.
That was a really good match vs Jund. I haven't seen a 7/8 Tarmogoyf in a long time, if ever. Loved how fast the deck tech was! Very to the point!
Let's take a moment and appreciate Seth's choice of basics in the deck.
“We don’t win without attacking”
-Seth, blood moon player
Game 2, match 1. Stone rain destroys only red source, Seth: "stone rains are not relevant"
Thank you Seth, thanks to the hype this deck created I could sell my playset of bridges at last 😂
That was possibly the hardest PUNT I've ever witnessed, but I definitely would have made the same mistake.
had a bad day at work and you cheered me up
You deserved the win the first match. Ponza players doing ponza things. Especially game 3 where the opponent got VERY lucky. Although you may have a scooped a bit too early on game three.
hahahaha I love the self aware punt memes when seth is editing the vids
"Maybe we should have done something different?"
NO SHIT SHERLOCK.
YOU DONT DISCARD AN ABRUPT DECAY TO DRAW A DAMN SWAMP.
17:47 did you forget you can put counters on balista? He couldn't gain life faster than you can put counters on that thing, eventually you'd win.
Feel like you sound a bit exasperated doing the deck tech. Feel like you should do a minute or a minute and a half and if it can be shortened then do it but this is a pretty new combo that a lot of people are probably unfamiliar with even after the instant deck tech. Thanks for the feedback.
After DECK!, I think math is Seth's primary antagonist
Invincible Hymn in Battle of Wits deck, go to time every round counting and double counting your library.
Maybe sideboard Pack Rat against graveyard hate? I does play into sweepers being good, but seems like it could work.
Driven to Despair is an incredibly underrated magic card.
5:38- Why do you pass here instead of just going off? 8 power on the table turn 1 is a heck of an aggressive start.
The one time he plays a deck that can function off one-landers, he plays the good boy and ships them back. Plus all those time he drew to hit his land drops instead of just taking the aggro!
40:35 "We'll let out opponent play the leylines. That makes it so they can't remove our bridges as well."
Hmmmmm....
I thought that through ;)
That opening turn though!
I've waited so looooong for this
Seth do you know you can cast your Hangerbacks and Balistas paying mana, right? Match1 game3 cast Hangerback so he cannot attack you, next turn you attack with it so you get 2 thopters. Then proceed to kill him with the thopters and Balista.
The two points of damage you missed in game 3 of match 1 cost you the match. You're so tilting sometimes.
Jarrel Doomis I love Seth, but hearing him complain when his opponents get an okay play, and then he still wins is what tilts me.
when did he miss damage? I do know that he missed at least one Liliana activation and neonate activation in response to Anger
Rendroc he missed 2 neonate swings, believe it was when he was bringing them back with lili.
Jarrel Doomis I noticed that too. Had he attacked with the neonates, Seth probably would have won the game.
ToasterX69 Not even probably.
Breath Seth! Was there even a period at any point in the script for the dech review haha!? xD
You always get back the vengvine. Always.
omg seth! u had walking ballista in minute 17:55, playing it for 2 you could try throwing 1 damage and then plus it 1 and then 2 damage more....
This was so awesome
Throwing me off with these midnight videos 😂😂
I think the time change is throwing me off :)
I’m starting to feel like this deck doesn’t need black for the sake of consistency and making blood moon slightly better
Game 3: Your mistake was casting Despair. Not sure why you needed to cast Despair there. Courser was almost guaranteed to block the Zombie, and Ooze would kill a Vengevine putting it out of the reach of Anger of the Gods.
Would it make sense for your opponents to go after your lands if they knew you only run 17 of them and are playing three colors?
very cool deck :D
but in game match one game 3 you could have one. you saced the neonate before attacking, so you didnt do the one point dmg you needed.
Makes sense.
Match 1, Game 2, Turn 1, why not sac neonate immediately, pitching bridge, and make 3 2/2s? That extra damage from being able to attack immediately on turn 2 might have won you that game.
This is why you don't rush into your combo with that scoop.
Maybe this is controversial but I don’t know if I even agree with playing green. Cathartic Reunion, more Evoke creatures like shriekmaw and some offensive discard seems SO much better.
I hope you cast Bridge and Abrupt Decay it in this video
Has this deck considered sinister concoction?
I never heard you laugh like that, priceless
Wait, didn't you miss an attack with Neonate in game 3 very early on, and that would have mattered?
How is it determined which deck is used for the video? Cause I really wanted to see Unexpected Tron and it had a lot more upvotes, didn't it?
This is what Seth said when someone else asked this question: "Much Abrew runs a week behind because I need time to actually record, edit and write the article for the episode. Unexpected Tron will be coming this week!"
Seth has not adjusted for Daylight Savings time yet? 8pm was an hour ago... :-P
Can't blame him, daylight savings is the stupidest thing ever conceived by mankind.
I think Daylight Saving time might have got me again.
I like the edit at 51:15
Thanks :)
Can walking ballista not kill your opponents anymore?
life gain from scavenging ooze puts opponent out of range
Ooze just gains our opponent a million life be eating away the graveyard.
MTGGoldfish well first off that totally makes sense. Second off omg saffron actually responded #hype
Do you guys think there could ever be an argument over putting bloodghasts in the main and or sideboard 🤔?
Or even a hollowed one hybrid what
I think it's possible, I just don't know how to make everything fit.
Seth could have used Lilianas neg ability to return a creature to the board, only letting the opponent gain one life, then cast Ballista for two
Oops, sorry. It's like one A.m. Lmao
Hymn in a 250 cards deck (BattleaofWits) OpOp definitely making up a list xD
Should have brought in Leyline against the zoo deck. You’re a creature deck, looking to out-grind your opponent’s Creature deck. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
(4:15) Better than Zombie Hunt. LOL
What an intro!
I know, I had to check the speed on my player, I thought I was on 1.5x or 2x speed
green red stuff is my favorite deck
That was hard to watch =/ good show though!
I have a feeling that this deck would have Satyr Wayfinder if it wasn't bugged.
Wayfinder is bugged? Hasn't he played that in other decks before?
Yeah, but the recent update goofed it a bit. The cards go back on top instead of in the grave. Unless they fixed it already.
NaPaulm is on straight R/G now, it seems a lot more consistent
Yeah, that might help.
Hey have you thought of brewing around personal sanctuary?
I have. Boros could be neat.
can you imagine getting muckdragger in momir? How sad that would be.
It's happened to me before :(
MTGGoldfish hahah that is brilliant
Unexpected tron tomorrow?
The game you were one damage away, you didn't attack with Neonate the turn you sacked it for Lilli.
That would explain it :)
Count the Numbers in a battle of wits shell
16:20 you forget to use Liliana :'(
Ballista does damage with counters
Turn 2 game 1 OMFG
What if I know him more by Seth? What if I don't realize he has a youtube channel?
That burn matchup was a funny one. I dont think he had a clue what he was doing...his best line was just to go full aggro to the face and instead he was trying to kill vengevines when you were clearly getting multiple things back a turn with sac outlets  Even if he didn't read Bridge the 1st time how did he not wise up to that? The leyline thing to protect your bridges is bizarre...like I get it, but...ugh. Seems so convoluted and a waste of spots.
Shouldn’t you just play leylines mainboard?
Have you considered being the new voice of micro machines?........ they still a thing or am I showing my age? 😂
"stone rain is just not relevant against our deck" * has three uncastable one mana cards in hand
Why grisly Salvage and not commune with the gods?
We don't actually ever want to take an enchantment (we want Bridge in the graveyard) so getting a creature or land is better than creature or enchantment.
Last question, what is the argument against Satyr Wayfinder?
If you're leaving Reality Smasher on defense, you're not winning.
You forgot to activate Liliana while you were saying over and over again how there was possibly something could have done better to win. You also didn't activate Neonate.
Maybe seth should remember to breathe in the intro
See the problem of lumping all the games into one video is , If your going to leave one comment it probably going to point out a mistake
I love you Seth xD
Every single one of these videos has an extremely early and unnecessary concede LMAO
I think this deck needs greater gargadon, because reasons.
This deck should be called hollow bridge cause it plays like the hollow one deck
meanwhile in the graveyard... hahahahahhahahahahahaha seth got so into his main strategy that he totally forgot there are other cards and srategies, in múltiple games!!!
CMON! Ponza game 3 was easy win, you could emblem Lili instead of getting that 1/1....
Really? You played this instead of Unexpected Tron? I'm very disappointed.
Felipe Rodrigues but was it really.
...
unexpected
Much Abrew runs a week behind because I need time to actually record, edit and write the article for the episode. Unexpected Tron will be coming this week!
That makes more sense, thanks for the info. I hope you don't play it on stream though, the chat is too distracting, and I'd like to see the deck in all its glory.
Seth math betrays you on 1 landers so please never fall to temptation.
Why are dislikes removed?!
What do you mean?
Why are these coming out an hour later than normal?
Nick Duquette daylight savings is a real bitch I guess
DST is a bitch methinks.
America does daylight savings earlier than europe
Vine of Vengeance xD
when you watch after hogaak came out
ATTACK WITH INSOLENT NEONATE!!!!
invincible hynm would be funny in battle of wits
I think this take on bridge is just a jankyish version of dredge/hollow one. I'd like to play bridge in a GB sacrifice/graveyard shell with a more grindy/value philosophy
Mismatched vengevines!
Promos!
Pretty disappointed this isn't Unexpected Tron.
Next week.
Thanks, Seth! Looking forward to it.
Ughhhhhh so painful to watch you lose that way dang Seth it’s like you hate dredgeless vine and refuse to learn it
What, no unexpected torn? Okay, maybe we were expecting it to much.
Everything runs a week behind so there's time to record and edit the videos, so Unexpected Tron will be coming next week.
YES!!! When the dankness smiles upon you! Expected Unexpected torn is Superb!(original version in caps lock)
2:14 ;)
You god damn hero!
Play legacy dredge again
Food Chain!
Quinn Reynolds maybe he would be better or play the other build
I do enjoy seeing Legacy but it’s not Seth’s forte. Legacy is a format that you have to be actually interested in playing in to have fun playing or watching.
TLDR: Legacy is to Niche
Zakana idk I follow legacy but don't play it and its fun to watch someone try
@@raistlin037 congrats. You have your wish.
