    In today's video, I tear down the front suspension in the 240SX to prepare it for a complete rebuild. By the time I'm finished, everything will be brand new, right down to the nuts and bolts. While taking things apart, I ran into some unexpected setbacks (of course, haha) but it lead to even better solutions! As always, a huge thanks to you all for supporting this project and for your patience over the past couple of months. Pretty soon, this car will be back on the ground, driving and handling better than ever!

    Thank you all sooo much for your patience with this project! We’re getting close to seeing the car back on the ground. Lots to do still, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel! At least with the suspension rebuild 😂 Hope everyone has a great evening!

      I have three more videos I'm working on to finish up the suspension rebuild. If things go as planned, I'll have at least one, maybe two, of them up before the end of the month. After the garage is finishes, things should get a bit more regular. Thanks!

    awh man, this video gives me chills. I did the same front suspension restore to my daily driver ealier this year and it's funny how easy it looks in your video to remove all these rusted messed up 20+ year old parts from the car when in reality it's a PAIN and I remember I got so many cuts in my hands and spent about two weeks camping below my car to get it done.
    totally worth tho, resto mod is something ANYBODY who wants to keep a timey car for longer but up to date for whatever reason, be it nostalgia, memories, really liking the car, or the car being a classic.

    Hey Kyle, Was wondering if you contacted ISR about those suspension arms at all? I just purchased those same suspension arms for my 91 240SX, after hearing a lot of people recommending them. My build goals are very similar to yours, focusing on reliability, adjustability, and refreshing old parts (though nowhere near as extensive as your project) and severe bushing degradation within a year is not cool. I was wondering if ISR had any advice for extending the life of these components or if they would be willing to replace them should these failures occur? Or are they just aimed at people building drift missiles? I'm trying to make up my mind whether I want to actually install these arms on my car or if I just want to return/ebay them off and get something that will last. Regardless, fantastic videos all around. There is a plethora of useful information in every one that has made my own build progress a lot smoother. Looking forward to seeing more!
    EDIT: Upon looking further, it appears that the black "bushings" as you termed them are actually dust covers for spherical bearings. Failure is failure, as cracking the dust covers will allow all sorts of stuff to get in and start grinding up that bearing, but the issue may not be as extreme as initially thought. Looking at older models of those ISR arms (back when they were terrorist control arms) show no dust covers present. It looks like those dust covers might be a revised design addition.

    • @saabkyle04
      @saabkyle04  6 років тому +12

      James Redmond Subscriber counts mean nothing anymore, it’s all about who can play the algorithm the best. Everybody’s gone to click bait and vlogs. It doesn’t matter how good your videos are or how long it takes you to edit them, if you’re not favored in UA-cam eyes then nothing matters. This is been an issue for quite a while now and I’m not sure it’ll ever change. It sucks, but the channel as a whole is still doing well. At this point I’m just trying to have some fun and make more variety. UA-cam is not pushing my videos to the vast majority of my subscribers.
