      Lesedi Moalosi the only thing is dryness on the skin, but overall no side effects. Get a good moisturizer that fits for your skin & to help with the dry patchy skin. Also, never forget to put on your SUNSCREEN!! ✨

      @Mai-id4fw 4 роки тому +23

      *Don’t forget to put sunscreen on because Retinol can also cause your skin to become a little more sensitive to the sun but even without the use of retinol you should always wear sunscreen to help with Aging and dark spot.

      Joey's third chin She meant it's OK to use Retinol and go out in the sun as there's no adverse reactions to that, but she recommendeds use of Retinol at night as the sun deactivates Retinol and by using it in the day, there's no benefit since the Retinol is basically wasted and no longer of use when deactivated by the sun.

      Calm yo'self Cj L. You should be wearing at least SPF 30 daily if you want to prevent wrinkles and ESPECIALLY if you used retinoids or retinols. The UVA and UVB rays from sunlight causes cancer, bro. You get enough vitamin D from your diet and your medical professional can advise you on supplemental therapy if you aren't getting enough from food.

    • @javierantequeraquijano8542
      @javierantequeraquijano8542 3 роки тому +3

      They are not conflicting mentions. Retinol should be applied at night because it is broken down by light, not because it's going to make you burn in the sun. She is right, retinol should be used year round, it does not cause photosensitivity contrary to popular belief, it just makes you dry so that sunburns that you could and would get anyway may be more itchy and may make you peel more.

    Are all Retinol products created equal? I tried a Dr. Brandt product (came in my Boxy Charm) and I loved it. It made me want to try other products. Dr. Brandt retinol cream is great--I tested it at Ulta, but it's $70! Is Roc or Neutrogena with Retinol just as good as the high-end brands? I'm only 32, but with the FL sun, despite sunscreen, I still have some sun spots (sun freckles!) and I've read retinol helps keep pores clear... is it worth it?

    I started using 1% retinol along with 17% vitamin c every night about 3 months ago, (I've started trying out retinaldehyde as well). These products seem to have already made a difference (I expected it to take longer). I think it may have (in a good way) thickened my skin. I have for years had a rather prominent vein on my forehead, I could always see it (though to what degree varied), now it is pretty much invisible. A good sign that these things are working well?
    I haven't had any drawbacks from the products yet either (fortunately).

    I disagree. If you use Retinol can you go out in the sun? Yes. Will you burn? YES. You must wear a sunblock. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and I had a very minor sunburn on a rainy day before starting using spf. Even the other day I had another minor burn when I went out late in the day and forgot to reapply the sunblock beforehand. I highly suggest using sunblock. That being said Retinol does seem to be making my skin look better.

    Quick question Dr Lee I wanted to know what would happen if I use a retinol serum all over my face? Would my skin peel?
    The reason I want to use retinol serum is because my skin is patchy and for my and discolourated.
    Thank you.

    The container the retinol comes in is important, it cannot be transparent and only what you use should be exposed to air, because it breaks down very easily. The best is skinceuticals 1.00, most other brands have very low retinol content. It will flake your skin initially until your skin gets used to it, or you could use a lower dosage. It works, use it at night and use sunblock during the day. Honestly, if it doesn't burn initially it doesn't have enough retinol, like I mentioned your skin will get used to it.

    Hi all. I love Dr. Pimple Popper just as much as the next person but for way more info on Retin-A watch the following UA-camrs:

    Retinol products are nothing to play around with and this video can cause a bit of harm if the proper precaution is not taken. Retinols are not created equal. Many people must start with a weak product and work their way up to a stronger one. Some even if they use a weak product, they can not apply it daily. Sunscreen I would say is mandatory. All retinols should be used after the sun goes down. I hope this helps.

      You should try azelaic acid (the ordinary) . I have read a lot of positive reviews using the product regarding rosacea

    I’m starting retinol at 13. Just at a low concentration of 0.2%. I’m going to follow the directions and work my way up so don’t worry. I’m using the Ordinary 0.2% Retinol in Squalene.

    • @annasame7395
      @annasame7395 4 роки тому

      safoorah khanam idk I’m younger than you. Seek advice from a dermatologist and learn more about the ingredients of the ordinary products before using it and read the directions as recommended.

    • @annasame7395
      @annasame7395 4 роки тому

      safoorah khanam I used The ordinary 0.2% retinol in Squalene with no Tatian and I have sensitive skin. Maybe just try that and follow the directions for how often you use it and how to work up to it using it more frequently.

    I just bought Retimax 1500 30g tube from eBay for around £3 highest dose of retinol, I bought it to help with my acne and fine lines, as I've only just had it delivered today I can't review it. I do not know if anyone has made a review clip of it I can't find one!
