Repainting some Rapalas for a Customer / Friend

In this video my friend and fellow UA-camr John Ames asked me to repaint some of his favorite lures the old Rapala Shad Rap. John said he has always wanted to get some of these lures is some color combos that he had dreamed up but they just don't make so of course I accept the challenge and appreciate the opportunity to work with colors and patterns I have not worked with before.
I must say, I really like the color scheme John has chosen and as always we learn something along the way. Although it may not have come out exactly like he imagined, once he saw the end product he was really happy and as far as I'm concerned.... that's what counts.
Now if only the fish like em, that'll be icing on the cake....... we shall see.

A great way to restore the look of some old favorites. I love the color on those, looks like the color I use to use around fall at some local lakes around here. I always though it reminded me of crawfish and that's why they likes it. Great job on these Don!!

Looks really nice brother, I would say you nailed his request. Interesting color schemes and I am anxious to see what he gets. Nicely done.
