    Excellent explanation of each point. You can always be sure that if you hear a German accent, this man is going to cut through the crap and tell you what you need to know. Brits like to ramble. Too many words. This guy is on point... Look at his room! Clean, white, simple, organized. No time for foolishness. Just facts. I tip my hat to you sir!

      Haha thank you. Since the video covered a lot of different topics, I tried to keep it short and straight to the point, so the video isn't 1 hour long. Might go more into detail in future videos. Glad you liked it :)

    Might be pretty late but i want to add, that the Hood-Camera is also a very viable tool to maximize track usage. Whenn i started playing i was not using 100% of the track at all since you sit on one side of the car and often misjudge how much space there really is even tho you can hear the curbs. The Hood cam is in the middle and makes it much easier to get feeling for using the whole track.

      It's a very important setting for the correct view. Only changing the fov without changing the distance would really mess up your view

    1st person i have heard to say. Use what FOV you like.
    I use a very high fov. almost double the calc value . I still suck but at least i can see.

    • @seydlitz_racing
      @seydlitz_racing  3 місяці тому +1

      @@winstonsmith8597 Ofc use the fov to your liking. Like i said in my video, these calculators give way too low values. But you still can see with a lower fov. Just move the camera position back. I encourage everyone to experiment around with it, to find the optimum value. Just keep in mind that within the usable spectrum a lower fov is better than a higher one as you can see the movement of the car better. The higher the fov, the bigger is the movement between the car and the horizon. Thus, high fov values make impossible to see tiny movements of the car. Looking at pro drivers, everyone uses a low fov. It’s just impossible to compete at esports level without using the benefit of a low fov.

    What is the correct thing to do in long slow corners like Zandvoort T1.

    • @shadxwslash44
      @shadxwslash44 5 місяців тому +1

      I think there are 2 things you can do:
      1. Hold the inside line. This can be beneficial if there is not so much time to be gained after exiting the corner, because there is no long straight after the corner. Zandvoort T1 is an example to this, I think. All the time to be gained is in the speed carried through the corner.
      2. The Lewis Hamilton-style double-apex. He explained this in the Gran Turismo Sport promo video, which you can watch on the PlayStation UA-cam channel. The approach gives the corner two apexes. You carry more speed in the entry, kiss the apex once while slowing the car, and you turn the car after you passed the inside line, and are towards the middle of the track. After turning, you accelerate, touch the apex the second time, and slingshot out of the corner for maximum exit speed, which is then carried all the way to the end of the following straight. One of the best examples is Silverstone Luffield (T7 F1 version, start-finish straight is the Hamilton-Straight), and Nürburgring T7.

    One tip for absolutely beginners like me who might not realize this: By default the game puts you on the 2019 series of cars. Switch to the 2024 series and you will take 2 seconds off your lap time....

      How do you select the 24 cars

  • @rankisdumb214
    @rankisdumb214 5 місяців тому

    you can add in game side to side movement by adding 15% on camera 1 turn head with steering wheel. It helps see more of the road in camera 1 when turning

    what is FF and why is it off?

    • @seydlitz_racing
      @seydlitz_racing  6 місяців тому +3

      In case you mean the part of the HUD in the bottom right, it stands for force feedback. It is not turned off for me, ACC just doesn't record the ff trace in the replay. So for the background videos that i recorded from an existing replay, there is just no ff being shown. For the videos that i record live, for example at 1:45 , you can see the ff display working. The further the bar is to the right, the stronger is the ff. Hope this helps you
