Console AC player here. Even without mods, i just can't stop driving Nordschleife. Constantly trying to improve my own driving and lap times, while cruising or racing others.

Let this be a lesson to all game devs. The undisputed, by COUNTRY MILE, way of keeping your game relevant into the future is allowing, and, if possible, even providing tools for, the creation of community content
AC is like Skyrim of simracing.
I ran it on a 650 Ti Boost, 120 fps. Played for years on a controller. Even modified the controller to get better. Drove first time with a wheel yesterday and am much slower. If you get the hang of it and dial the settings in just right for you there is lots of fun to be had with a controller.
Assetto corsa makes me happy. As someone in a 3rd world country who has a very slim chance to travel or get enough money, i can just boot up assetto corsa and drive around the green hell in a porsche 911 gt3 cup or take a relaxing drive around shutoku in a toyota mr2 after a long day at school. This game is really something, and i dont plan on ever deleting this off my system
I hope this game will be cherished and improved for decades to come. I hate all these half baked games released these days with predatory micro transactions

I have AC, ACC, iRacing, RF2. I always return to AC. Most of my hours by a huge difference is on AC.
The simplicity is so true. I’ve been playing this nonstop for like a week now. Today I turned on Forza Horizon 4 and then 7 and immediately realized how much BS those games throw at you in the start menu.
AC is very satisfying game when you actually start driving good. I started playing this game for drifting mechanics, but now i love everything it has to offer. for anyone who has no sim racing or racing experience, it might be very difficult to learn, but i promise after all that struggle you are going to enjoy this game more and more.
I was just looking for a cheap racing game to play on ps4 because my son had taken the xbox that i play F1 on with him to his grandparents house where he is staying at for the summer. I had heard somebody on youtube talking about it being only 10 US dollars and what a great game it is, especially for the price so i decided to buy it and try it out. I had no idea what a crazy good bargain i was making at the time i bought it and what exactly i was truly buying. This sim is absolutely incredible and i quickly fell in love with it. The physics, the amount of really awesome cars (especially the hyper-cars and various F1 models), and the overall structure and interface of the game are an absolute dream. I can definitely see why so many people are still so into it.
The mods and the physic engine this game has is exemplary and the amount of time I've spent playing it either by myself or with friends is noting but absolute joy and close to a therapy session for me. Heck, one of my favorite pastimes is to drive on the Shouto Expressway in AC on my wheel and pedal whilst operating a Nissan Fairlady Z 2+2 (My affordable dream car that I finally own in NA that's being LS swapped by me and my mentor).

I've raced thousands of hours in training, races, championships and I think it's spectacular that thanks to modders this game stays so long. They are the main protagonists of AC for all these years
