He turned a great movie into a farce.... original "gone in 60 seconds" was awesome, this had elements of smokey and the bandit 2... the helicopter heist and chase scene was pretty cool though
In Halliki's defense, the whole idea, self financing the film, intendednas a standard 70s B movie, including those scenes makes sense, financially. He pulled his fims 9ff on a low budget. And this film KNOWS what it is, and embraces it. 2nd, Madrian Pace was his most prevalent character. I see the 0ace series, DAT, GI60S, and GI60S2 are like the Mad Max films. A bit messy, with continuity errors, taken together, but good stand alone movies. Toby's intent, according to a coversation I had with Denise, 20 years ago. Picked her up at the Buffalo airport, and drove her to Toby's hometown, for a reunion, and one of the things we talked about was her husband, and his dreams. His inspiration. I've known the family for more than 30 years. Lived down the road from his cousin's shop for 10 of those years. Even own one.of the cars bought for GI60S2, a former CHP Mustang. One shipped here for scenes that were to be filmed near Buffalo NY. Bought from him, when he retired.

The scene we see him driving the bricklin and of him in the editing room before going to the James Dean event is the first 3 minutes that were going to replace the first 3 of the original movie (74) being filmed... He was filming a movie within a movie that nobody had seen yet. He then spliced together The Junkman and Gone In 60 Seconds with this movie to make a new subplot for the original Gone In 60 Seconds, but the last hour of Deadline Auto Theft is a direct 1:1 copy of Gone In 60 Seconds. It's really complicated and confusing to explain as it goes too deep on too many levels. He was so far ahead of his time.

Great Free Movie. But the Original DVD Release Of Gone In 60 Seconds with H.B's Wife Introduction Doesn't Compare. H.B Will always be a legend. And Eleanor was once made of steel. Many a Magazine and Web review put the original Gone In 60 Second as the best car chase in movie history. I agree but check out Robert De Niro's Ronnin as a close second.

Hoyt's 'daughter' in the movie was Toby's girlfriend at the time, a Penthouse Pet of the Year. She later died in a house fire in Arkansas.

It's like I am truly sitting here watching the original gone in sixty seconds with a different movie title but still a great movie oh there is one difference I think they people that to played cops are different people but that's the only difference I see
