The value of these Reviews and Guides are very Real. Thank You for all the work you do, Sir.
Glad you like them!
At 7:20- the first ability doesn't *need* to reference creatures, because the crew ability does that implicitly. If it did, it would never make sense to use a creature and anything else to activate the first ability unless it had 0 power- otherwise you could just use the creature. Since 0 power creatures aren't exactly common, it really doesn't make that much of a difference.
To put it another way, the first ability is just an alternative way to crew it using artifacts instead of creatures.
Nizzahon my guy I am at work. You need to stop pushing out all this banger content before my boss starts catching on
And here I thought I’d have to wait for the archetype guide after just finishing the set review for green. We are overwhelmed with quality videos lately!
The videos were uploaded super fast this time! Really happy about that.
I cant believe the pacing of the volume of content you're putting out during this pre set time. Way to go.
It really shows Nizzahon's passion for limited.
I'm not much of a fnm visitor anymore but his reviews always wake up excitement for the prerelease and help me look for cards to complement my private cube.
You are the reason I continue to play magic. I appreciate the work you do!
7:32 no reason to let the chariot tap creatures because it has crew already so that would only matter if you have only 0 power creatures untapped.
In fact, it would have to be two 0-power creatures that also aren't artifacts. The gnome is the 0-power creature we are likely to see in this format a lot, and, yep, it's also an artifact.
really excited for the black white deck, orzhov aristocrats is one of my favorite commander decks and for ixalan it seems very real. lots of amazing payoffs and sac outlets + just a really high level of card quality compared to prior draft sets.
Juste perfect before ixalan opening week at our local store. Thank from France bro ! 🎉❤
The bladewheel creature’s ability only works for artifacts because it has crew 1, so you can already tap any creature to turn it into a creature
Watching your vid on my way to prerelease! You can always rely on Nizzahon! 🎉
16:02 Didact echo has flying if you've descended. It always draws you a card.
Here’s hoping you crack a cave deck rare pack 1 for the pre-release!
It's worth noting that Glorifier of Suffering triggers on etb, not on attack.
I wonder of the reason g/b & g/w aren't so synergistic is because the designers think Explore is good enough on its own? Great video as always.
I consume a lot of Magic content. I've watched Nizzahon's set reviews for a while now and they are now my favourite set reviews to the point that while I do read others, I usually don't watch/listen to others anymore. I've only actually watched Nizzahon's archetype guides for WOE and now LCI and I realise now that this is the single most useful piece of content for me for a set, out of the 40-50 limited-focused pieces I consume per set. There are podcasts I love which always have real gems in them, but I'm giving the crown to Nizzahon's archetype guides!
Nizzahon, I have a question for you. Do you think that someone can have a good result in a prerelease if they don't follow the archetypes but just put a random deck together with their cards they deem the best? I had 5 prereleases total. First 4, I did exactly this and never had a good result. 5th prerelease I followed your guidelines and I won the whole event with rats. This makes me feel like there is no much room for originality or creativity in limited, instead we must just follow the paths given to us by Wizards... And I don't think I'm happy about that. Appreciate everything you do, thx for all the videos and your work!
I genuinely thought Throne of the Grim Captain (By far the coolest card in the set) was a mythic
Big descend fan. Wonder if we will ever get a non permanent version?
Threshold (kinda)
Hey, my guy, 2015 called. It wants its Spell Mastery back (kinda)
While it seems they made the 5 colour caves, i would expect it to be more like 5 colour bombs, as the set seems to have a solid amount of them and most require very easy synergy like having descend or creatures/artifacts in play.
Caves payofs look not as powerfull as the ones from gates for example, and even those devolved into 5 colour bombs most of the time.
Still good content, and would be nice if the format is slower for a change so caves and craft control could actually exist.
I mean any time you play many colors in draft you should be getting more bombs to justify that imo it’s just nice that they gave caves as another motivator here
i wonder why they didnt put many payoffs or synergy into the gw and ug decks? still powerful enough without?
Does token creature death trigger the Descend mechanic?
Talking about with the card say : "If you descended this turn..."
Nope! Descend only counts actual cards.
@@NizzahonMagic
Ho ok Thank you. It so counter-intuitive. Because in his official website, WofC wrote that :
"You descend each time a permanent card is put into your graveyard from anywhere. For some cards, it doesn't matter how many times you've descended that turn, only that you've done so at least once. It also doesn't matter that the permanent card is still in your graveyard."
And I know creature token "touch" sur graveyard. It is so weird!
Yeah the key is that it says "permanent CARD." Tokens do touch the graveyard, but they aren't cards.
@@NizzahonMagic Today I learned. Thank you :)
I think my favorite archetype is probably WB though I'm pretty high on all the white archetypes except for GW which looks miserable. White as a color looks like it knows exactly what it wants to be doing and black is kinda the same way. My least favorite is probably GW which looks like 2 colors that don't mesh at all awkwardly trying to staple on a signpost.
gw looks ok but its just the same thing basically every set. buff your creatures with counters and stuff.
Hammerskull is offensive, it’s dumb strong
"Several several more" goes crazy
Im calling it now, caves are gonna be bonkers.
in general or the caves deck?
Dino’s seem really busted stat wise, this set is pretty pushed in general but they really went overboard with the dinosaurs
I can't wait to open nothing but good white cards and be forced into drafting white even tho it's my least favorite color. Happens. Every. Season.
Red/Black > everything else
i hope not will have to see how it plays out.
In these Descend decks are we still only playing 40cards? It seems like we could mill out fairly quickly
We have had graveyard decks in many formats over the years, and we still always play 40.
you may do more if you have enough playables and are going deep on the self mill plan. i think there a also a couple cards that can put cards back in you library.
@@rodintremboy6459 sure. But this mill/graveyard strategy isWAY more intensive than he realizes. Probably gunna self mill with a 40 card deck . You need more cards for the strategy.
@@NizzahonMagic Couldn't disagree More. You're underestimating the level of self mill these decks are employing. It's too intensive to sustain a limited game . People will self mill and lose .
