This makes me so happy!! I met my online BFF after being best friends that spoke on the phon daily for years. We quickly started dating after meeting in person, and celebrate 5 years together next week. I love hearing similar love stories! It just feels like kismet to meet your partner in a sea of millions of people from all over the world! Congratulations to you both! Sending you love and happiness 🤍
I met mine after 6 years and fell in love, moved across the country to be with him and now 4 years later (10 after meeting) we have a almost 2 year old ❤ I still hate the idea of telling her we met online because she might be less cautious
I ended up being a furry meeting a furry gal online. I was Canadian, she was American, didn't think much of it. 7 years later I've completed my immigration and we've lived together married in Tennessee for a year 😂 Moral of the story, be careful with who you meet online, because they may end up uprooting your entire life and creating a new life together in a new country
@twirbyy233 yeah, my husband loves to jokingly say "who knew that Roll20 was such a great dating-platform". It's not the most common way to meet, but we have an interesting story at least :)
My advice when you meet your online friend for the first time and for some time afterwords make sure to meet in a public place where a lot of people can see you.
I've met tons of friends in person. I've only had an issue with one of them. He kept touching me and made the whole thing awkward. He asked if he could visit again and I told him no, that he made me uncomfortable. He literally told me my "body language was asking for it. " I didn't know taking his hand off me multiple times was an indication of wanting to be groped. The ironic part is that he's considered conventionally attractive. ( Tall, worked out/muscular, wealthy-ish ) but I'm Demisexual so none of that had any influence over me. Apparently other girls in my circles of online friend groups liked him and disliked me because he apparently ( I didn't know prior to him visiting ) liked me-- I learned about all of that after the fact. ( I'm an Aspie and a bit oblivious. )
Back in the wild west days of the internet I was a nieve child roaming the chat rooms of AOL. I was honest and assumed everyone else was as well. I met a person I assumed to be a 12 year old girl the same age as me and we had lots of conversations about Sailor Moon and art. It seemed great. She lived in the same area as me and we decided to meet and hang out at the marina that was half way between our houses. It was about a mile on the bike path so it seemed like a great idea I could go and come back and no one would know ( I wasn’t supposed to go alone to the marina). I head out and it’s an over cast day, but that’s normal. Half way a strange nagging hits, that weird feeling you get when you enter room and something just feels off you don’t know what it is just that it’s wrong. I in a moment of clarity decided that I would just not go. It started raining and I was soaked by the time I made it home. I never talked to that girl again. I have no idea if it was actually a girl or not, but I trust that nagging feeling that it probably wasn’t
Met my online friend turned online boyfriend. He ditched me to meet up with some other friends 2 days in, came back for a day, then made another excuse that he had to go back early for a job interview, but he didnt have money to get back. Never saw that $100 of gas money again. Broke up with him 2 days later. He got back together with his ex wife a week later. Our whole group had been tryin to get him back on his feet, and he just abandoned all of us overnight, tried to scam a friend attempting to sell a borrowed vr headset, ect. forced the friend to send all his stuff back to texas from ohio. Meanwhile she was trying to get ready for her wedding. It was bad. Fuck that guy
I met a friend from online that went bad. I, now 49f, met a female friend I knew for a couple years online about 15 years ago. She apparently had a thing for me, and didn't let me leave when the time came. It took me promising to come back a couple weeks later. It got me to my way back home. Another friend I met from online, a male (openly gay), came to stay with me to get a new start. He ate 2weeks of groceries the first night at my place. He came with NO money to contribute, which was our agreement. And I called the cops a week later when he offered to include my pets so I'd have more grocery money! Last I saw or heard of him was him in the back of a cop car on his way to a homeless shelter. I don't help people much anymore, and never involving my home.
I married him, we had kids together and even went through the loss of a child. I found he was a serial cheater. I think the worst incident was when I was only a month postpartum with our last child and he was talking to a single mom. At the time I had postpartum depression and a lot of extra stress because we were struggling financially. I was taking out loans and picking up all of the house work/childcare so that he could rest for work. He told this woman about how special she was, offered to pay for her and her kids wants/needs. He was literally trying to be her sugar daddy when I was literally taking out loans and spending my savings to keep us afloat. We're getting divorced now.

I have online 'boyfriends' after making group chat with bunch of other people (total of 7) we're hanging out almost everyday and i was the youngest irl (im in hs, some were end year hs and college) so i was get babied, and this particular 'guy' in the group were obsessed with me, like rlly into me and since i was having other online bf at that time he never went further, after i broke up for a while he started to pursue me and the other 5 always supports it, since i feel like i have no option after he confessed i accept it...since we share our irl information a lot, we mostly live in different city except 4 of us (me, bf, and other 2) and always talk abt meet up, since I'm pretty much underage and I don't have any courage to actually meet them i always decline, now back to my bf, he's so obsessed with me and sometimes google street my school and making a joke where one day he would go there and giving me surprise meeting, i was so uncomfortable but rlly went with it, after 2 months of pushing meeting up to me, it was like tuesday afternoon, he posted pic in front of my school and saying "surprise, im here", both of us didn't know each other face so he said that he'll take every picture of girl who probably was me until he found me, i was so full of anxiety and ended up leaving from different school gate ☠️ it was terrifying since he did it like 4-times in the span of 2months, i say to stop but he never stopped. Until i finally ask to breakup, he ruin the groupchat with saying shit about me to other friends, saying i was too obsessed with him or something, so everyone thinking i ruined the group chat, after that i left the group and the community, and i only have one member left from the group chat who stand by me and let me add her to her irl social media and keeping contact. 5-6months later, some stranger DMed me on my irl social media, it was a grown woman, saying that he was my ex boyf and saying I'm actually a girl and asking how I've been doing, she got my social media from my friend in gc (she blocked her actually because she also had beef with this creep) and knew it was me because i meet up with her in cafe event 😭 until this day she keep watching every story and liking my post eventho i ghosted her chat, it was crazy
Huh. People always say “don’t meet people from the internet in person” when you’re learning about internet safety as a kid. Even now, as an adult, I always avoid these situations.
58:40 I'm a furry and have to say... yeah... There are some really weird people in the community. And a lot of, honestly dumb or creepy people at cons. Most of the people are fine, well adjusted, adults with a hobby or maybe a kink to go along with that hobby. But the few there who aren't, yeah, they are the reason I don't go to conventions. Even if it's just touching and nothing sexual. You should ask. Like my god.
Met my current partner off tinder. Didn't want to meet up right away so we stayed online friends for a bit. our baby is due in March and I'm pretty sure I've met my soulmate
I had an online friendgroup that consisted of several girls and one guy I meet with the guy first, we meet for 10 minutes and then he sent me away because he was doing some paperwork at the place we were at, and i told him to send me a message when he was done so we could hang out. An hour and a half without news later, i had to go but was close by so i sent him texts inviting him places and to do things, none of this got a reply for two days. He was just fine, keep messaging on the group chat but started acting weird when i was talking at the same time. Apparently, he disliked me, and it made the group very awkard, so i decided to leave the groupchat because i still loved all my friends and didnt want to put them in a position when the group gets separated for something like that. Then i met with several of the girls, and they didnt like me either. I dont know what it is exactly, i think i might be too awkard irl or im too sad of a person and bring the vibes down, im not sure On the bright side, im in an almost 5 year long relationship with one of the girls, we travel as much as we can to see each other, and we are thinking of getting married some day :^) she is the love of my life
I met my husband online. We were arguing in a comment section and then started DMing when we maxed out the replies. He called me smart and asked if I wanted to play online chess. We did, and he won (I have won only once, but idm). He was a single dad who was freshly out of his abusive relationship with his ex. It'll be 3 years next month and we have a 6 month old who loves her big brother and sister, and I love them too.
I'm not sure if this counts, but here goes. me and my online friends, lets call them Carter and Charlie, were playing on a server that was pretty empty. I see that our other friend Avery (female) is online on a different server and suggest to join her. Carter asks me and Charlie what do we think about the Avery situation. me and Charlie are confused, and Carter tells us that a few days earlier, he was told that Avery passed away from some heart problems she had for a while. Apparently her cousin notified him about the news, but somehow she knew his real name despite not playing with him even once. not only that, but we all thought it was weird to "continue the legacy of your dead cousin" by playing on her account. Avery also has a tendency to seek attention, so she might be pulling a giant prank on us to try and get attention. TLDR: we don't know if our friend is really dead or just attention seeking.
Positive story met my online friend after like a good amount of years and oop! We then got together ofc we were still long-distance for a while but now we live together
I met an online friend from a local BBS back in the late 90s when BBSes were still the best way to meet locals. The internet was just a library unless you had AOL chatrooms. Anyway dude was super smart, total computer nerd, but also a total troublemaker. I met a girl he knew, she was really sweet, a good girl. He mean while is banging 2-3 different girls on the regular. So this girl and I hook up and date fornthe summer. He finds out and hit the ceiling, this psycho ends up shooting a gun outside my house and gets arrested cos when the cops came he had a warrant for some dumb other thing he'd done. Eventually I had cut all ties and moved, never talked to him again. Turns out this paycho still holds a grudge and makes threats about me to people I know. Like, that was 27 years ago, she was never yours, I didnt steal her, she was never yours, it was 27 years ago, LET IT GO 🤦♂️ Meanwhile thisnguy mouths off all the time how he wants to unalive me. Like Bro, seriously? Pathetic.
I dated this Canadian guy online once and almost went down to visit him (We're both dudes around the same age) he lived in Alabama and I was pretty close. I'm really glad I didn't go down to visit him and a week later his house burned down, he had a stroke and he was a known t-boy chaser! I no longer date online no matter how sexy a country boy seems :) stay safe online bros yolo 🙏🔥🔥🔥
i've been friends with a girl for years, so we decided to meet. She came over, brought her bjd collectible dolls with her and acted like they were her children (even in public she brought them with her) , wanted to watch gay porn together just casually, threw a temper tantrum when i wanted to go sleep at around midnight , insisted on sleeping together. Idk if she had a crush on me or what this was, but it was just all too weird . She complained how previously another friend kicked her out of her home and how rude that was. I was about to do the same tbh. After that we didn't talk too much anymore, she lied to people that i owe money to her for some reason and who knows what else. I still think about her sometimes, because we used to be great friends . I just don't have online friends anymore. :| But on a lighter note, i met my bf online too and we've been together for 5 years now. It's nice :)
My internet Horror Story is this one lady I met online and we talked and then eventually we did the deed and we also keep talking to each other. Then she keeped asking me for money, i did a few times but i stopped after a few times. Then she threatened to leak private photos if i didnt pay her. She didnt do that but she made this fake messages where i threatened to kill her and called her the N word (at the time i had a black lives matter sticker on my FB profile). She sent it to my family and fb friends, but nearly of all of them didnt believe her expect one person.
Ugh, I met a guy from POF and he looked good. Met him in person and he was much older and much bigger than his picture. He was also shorter than he said he was and was quite smelly. Ugh I caught a catfish
Long story short: guy lied about his age, said 18-19 was 17. Girl I liked liked him, girl and I were 19. Learned the truth, shit hit the fan hard, absolutely no contact with the girl anymore, sad face. Guy was obviously blocked.
So I did the first one (google my name plus first letter of my last name) and apparently I’m “year of Darius son of Xerxes (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian kingdom. Whatever the f that means
People who play games like that are pathologically unable to form real human face to face bonds, and instead devise these weird parasocial orbiting relationships. This is why videos like this exist- once the shield of being behind a screen is gone, it implodes because both parties are almost always some kind of creep, crippled with anxiety, school sh00t3r vibes, or other things
Most of them work at Twitter or are really into compsci or game development most games people play are made or developed by furries so I'm not surprised with how rich they are 😂
Story 2: OP is a true friend. Willing to spend his time (and vehicle) helping out his buddy but also willing to hit said buddy with a reality check when needed. Glad he didn't get sucked down by his idiot bro's drama.
That furry story is such offensive bull shit. First off, i AM a furry. I go to loads of their cons. Sure, every once and a while you meet a creepy pos that's more likely to become a murderer than a productive member of society....but the chances of that happening are about the same as the chances of meeting one in an every day place like your local Starbucks. Most of us are socially awkward autistic people who like animals. Also, predominantly a gay community. Also lots of trans people. So if the OP is a girl telling that story...dude probably wasn't in the room because he was out getting laid. By a dude. And absolutely uninterested in the OP. If he was presenting himself as a woman to the op, it was probably because the person was trans and not some trap. It sounds to me like the OP came into the fandom expecting the worse and made shit up to scare herself. Art tables at fur cons are not cheap (100$+ depending on the con) and nether are fur suits. Should they have met the person un their suit? No. Socially stupid idea but again, we're not the most Socially brilliant group of people.but this furry artist was probably just trying to be a good person and OP lost there fucking mind over non-sense. Oh well, its their issue. If they're that judgemental, the futry community doesn't need their crapy art.
@@unknownturtle7736 Ima be real with you, gotta respect how you just don't care at all and you're not going to start a pointless argument on the internet. Either that, or you just know I'm right and don't have a comeback. Neither matters to me, for once I don't feel like arguing about something.
Anyone else get a little irritated at the amount of people that feel the need to start a story with the word "So"? It's completely unnecessary to start a story with yet it happens all the time.
These aren't professional writers, so they write the way they would speak. And when speaking it's a common behavior to begin a story with "and so it was" or some variant. In speaking the phrasing alerts the listener that you're going to explain something and suggests you not interrupt. In contrast to a normal back and forth discussion. Typically it's a segue. You'll have been talking and then "so, let me tell you about" or anything similar. For the average person this conversational behavior carries over into their writing.
For a positive story: I married my online friend after years of being friends!

Why do they always fit the same description‽

Most of the people are fine, well adjusted, adults with a hobby or maybe a kink to go along with that hobby. But the few there who aren't, yeah, they are the reason I don't go to conventions.
Even if it's just touching and nothing sexual. You should ask. Like my god.
Met my current partner off tinder. Didn't want to meet up right away so we stayed online friends for a bit. our baby is due in March and I'm pretty sure I've met my soulmate
I had an online friendgroup that consisted of several girls and one guy
I meet with the guy first, we meet for 10 minutes and then he sent me away because he was doing some paperwork at the place we were at, and i told him to send me a message when he was done so we could hang out.
I dont know what it is exactly, i think i might be too awkard irl or im too sad of a person and bring the vibes down, im not sure
On the bright side, im in an almost 5 year long relationship with one of the girls, we travel as much as we can to see each other, and we are thinking of getting married some day :^) she is the love of my life
just moved in with my boyfriend. technically, he was an online friend before we started dating. sometimes there are good stories too 🤭
I met my husband online.
Thank you so much for your video.
Story 16 reminds me of this book I read called The Housemaid.
Positive story met my online friend after like a good amount of years and oop! We then got together ofc we were still long-distance for a while but now we live together
It's best to just keep it online
ridiculous amount of ads makes me reconsider choosing ur videos😬
Story 31 to me wasn’t technically as bad as the writer is making it out to me. Besides the ending, that’s where things get really creepy.
Story 2 is pretty crazy.. what a weirdo.
Nah the guy in the second story is smoking something what the hell-
Story 5 ... i mean really how gullible and naive do you have to be to go for all of that
Thanks for the content!
2:40 I’m from North Carolina💀
No one finished the video yet
i've been friends with a girl for years, so we decided to meet.
But on a lighter note, i met my bf online too and we've been together for 5 years now. It's nice :)
Here to stop the "first" comments (I was second but nobody is gonna see any of these early on)
I see you =}
Third
I can see you
Im no prude but that kiss description grossed me tf out
My internet Horror Story is this one lady I met online and we talked and then eventually we did the deed and we also keep talking to each other.
55:07 why didn't op take screenshots of the messages or literal photos of the screen since the guy was deleting messages? like what
Ugh, I met a guy from POF and he looked good. Met him in person and he was much older and much bigger than his picture. He was also shorter than he said he was and was quite smelly. Ugh I caught a catfish
Story 43: Stallman? 😅
Long story short: guy lied about his age, said 18-19 was 17. Girl I liked liked him, girl and I were 19. Learned the truth, shit hit the fan hard, absolutely no contact with the girl anymore, sad face. Guy was obviously blocked.
Way off topic but is your pfp the doom aspect from homestuck? 😲
So sorry that one persons experience with the furry community was so awful. Every fandom has its creeps, sadly.
Oh, thank God this channel hasn't had pi comment on it.
57:50 Furries be like that sometimes
It took me way too long to figure out that at 4:23 its at one point, 2 of them and that the captions got fucked up.
So I did the first one (google my name plus first letter of my last name) and apparently I’m “year of Darius son of Xerxes (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian kingdom. Whatever the f that means
Why’re so many of these from World of Warcraft?
People who play games like that are pathologically unable to form real human face to face bonds, and instead devise these weird parasocial orbiting relationships. This is why videos like this exist- once the shield of being behind a screen is gone, it implodes because both parties are almost always some kind of creep, crippled with anxiety, school sh00t3r vibes, or other things
@@user-mn9wc5ru5w Well I actually play the game too but thanks for adding the end part
Hmmm.... there is something going on with how suspiciously rich a lot of furries seem...
Most of them work at Twitter or are really into compsci or game development most games people play are made or developed by furries so I'm not surprised with how rich they are 😂

Sooo many ads !

Turn your volume up then
@@ChubbyT-Rex43 My volume was the way up
@@nickname3721 then there’s something wrong with your ears?
@@ChubbyT-Rex43 No. This person's videos aren't the only ones I listen to, but they're the only ones where I have to turn the volume all the way up.
@@nickname3721 I’m being dead serious but I had my volume half way and could hear perfectly fine. I don’t understand sorry
Fun fact saying stopping kids from saying first is more reused and unoriginal then just saying first
Sounds like someone's mad they aren't first.
@@CatManReal bros tryna start beef over nothing 😭😭

@@CatManReal counterpoint nuh uh
@@unknownturtle7736 Ima be real with you, gotta respect how you just don't care at all and you're not going to start a pointless argument on the internet. Either that, or you just know I'm right and don't have a comeback. Neither matters to me, for once I don't feel like arguing about something.

Anyone else get a little irritated at the amount of people that feel the need to start a story with the word "So"? It's completely unnecessary to start a story with yet it happens all the time.
that sounds like a weird thing to get annoyed about ngl
@@NightTheGlitch yeah I'm closet grammar nazi. I don't say anything most of the time but I almost always notice
