      @@Jabadamazo not only Hollywood... Disney Channel in Latin America also has a very strange situation (fortunately, as far as we know, only one). They brought 15-year-old Karol Sevilla from Mexico to Argentina, the rest of the cast of Soy Luna was +18. The girl had online school. She experienced bullying on the set, and apparently almost the entire cast and production didn't like her because she started behaving badly because of what she experienced. The boy who played her love interest (Ruggero) is 5 years older and was already a Disney star when they started this project. He was in a relationship with his co-star from a previous Disney project (Cande). They were very close, the series promoted that they were inseparable. He flirted with her during interviews and promotions, touched her a lot, looked at her very intensely. I want to remember that the difference of 5 years, she was a minor, he was in a relationship. R didn't make any room for the fact that he had a girlfriend. Additionally, little girls fans burned with hatred towards Cande (they wished her death, broke up with her boyfriend, were called toxic. They were insulted for admitting that she was a little jealous. Literally who wouldn't be in this situation? Disney cast her in a recurring role and also she was accused of doing it to control him). At the end of the project, Karol and Ruggero had a fight and have not spoken to each other since then. According to the co-star's recordings, he played with her feelings and took advantage of her. According to rumors, they were in a relationship and sleeping together. And a lot of strange things happened there. During the pandemic, Ruggero and Cande broke up. There was a situation of violence towards her, they broke up because he was cheating on her, which he admitted to (with a different girl. NOT his former co-star). She talked about how much he gaslighted her feelings about the whole "love triangle." Generally, when you get into it and watch these recordings, it's nothing but pure concern about the situation, because apart from the rumors, his public behavior towards her is disturbing...

      @@Penguin_Happy you are disabled though! That's part of the definition of being disabled is the inability to do tasks you used to/are "supposed" to do. My disability is a degenerative one so as I age I get worse, when I was younger I was able to run in the mile easily in school but now I can't even walk one mile without having chronic hip and joint pain for at least 3 to 5 days afterwards. Not all disabilities are visible, and often we have to change huge parts of our lifes in the aftermath.
      If you're eligible for disability benefits? I have no idea, but often times disabled folks aren't able to claim it for many reasons, including if you want to get married one day. It's a very harsh reality to come to terms with, you grieve who you were and what you could do previously, you have to mourn everything you thought possible for yourself.
      Despite what the world might lead you to believe, a large majority of the population is considered disabled in one way or another. The world wasn't made with us in mind, it was unfortunately built to hide, shame and kill us. The Ugly Laws are a very real part of America's history, preventing disabled folks who were deemed "unsightly" from leaving their homes and were often trapped in medical facilities that had no care or effort put in to just getting you better but, to keep you out of public's eye.
      Many disabled folks deal with imposter syndrome as well, thinking we aren't "disabled enough" to claim the label, that we "aren't having it as bad as others". When in reality disability isn't a competition, but rather community that needs to stand together in face of the world.
      If you're comfortable labeling yourself as disabled, please do! Because you have the right to vocalize this, whatever pain or struggles you have years later are just as vaild as they were the day of the accident.

She took all responsibility saying she was simply jealous of her but I think it was more than that. Ariana was clearly choosing to not stick up for her and gladly receiving preferential treatment while playing innocent even after Jeanette spoke up and even asked Ariana to stick up for her. I place the blame on UA-cam for not sticking by their creators and corporations for being too afraid to place their ads on things that need light. Feels kind of insidious that these corporations would try to suppress these topics they deem controversial by not providing access to revenue, leading creators to be less inclined to speak out openly about important subject matter in fear that they won't be able to earn a wage. Growing up even as a child watching iCarly or any of these other children’s shows, I always found it weird and strange seeing all the feet scenes and other scenes that were just so unnecessary and even sometimes sexual. I thought it was just me since my twin sister that’s more mature than me didn’t find a problem with the scenes, so I just left it be. Years later on UA-cam people began talking about how weird and strange these scenes were to be featured/shown on children’s shows, and it made me realize that I’m not completely crazy and that the scenes were weird and strange and wrong to be in children’s shows.

It was banned from the house since it was arguably the worst foot fetish thing nickolodean ever did. I hope ariana doesnt stay quiet forever, i am positive she probably had signed an NDA of some sorts. My cousin's son would be the one watching this show when he was 7ish and whenever I came to visit, that's when I'd get to see these shows. Let me just say it was a shock. I'm a child of Nickelodeon's 80s/90s era and the shows then were radically different than the 00s' era. There were so many times I'd turn to my cousin and ask 'This is a kids show? Not a teenage show?' And she'd just nod in understanding and we'd go on about how strange and racy they were especially considering the actual shows aimed at kids from my era. You could see the difference in my generation from the kids and teens shows where in the 00s it was like you either had these 'kid' shows or adult shows on primetime. It's just insane that this was okay and no one had any issues with it.

    I waited all night for iCarly's original premiere, and I remember thinking even then that they were pushing the envelope with subject material more than I ever remembered them doing during Drake & Josh. The references to bras in the first episode already had me shocked, because I didn't even think they were allowed to talk about that stuff. Megan had been calling her brothers boobs for years, but it seemed intended in the same way as calling somebody a dork, only harsher. So iCarly referring to pointy bosoms and all of that had me pretty shocked lol
    Then I watched Victorious a couple years later when I was babysitting, and I was even more shocked at what was on the live action Nick shows by then. I'm wondering now if the references to that kind of stuff was because having female leads gave them more cause to reference it.
    And I'm also wondering if the switch to female led shows gave him more opportunities for exploitation... or if the exploitation was, at least in part, a cause for the switch to female led shows. I can't even articulate myself right now, but ugh, I'm almost afraid to watch the Drake & Josh video.
    Last thought: I always got sad about how Gibby was treated on the show, like it was inherently funny for a chubby kid to have his shirt off. :( Even at the age of 11, that always made me feel bad.

    For those wondering about Laci Mosley making faces when Jerry was talking about Jennette’s book, let me explain. When the iCarly reboot cast photos came out, many people were making a lot of racist and hateful comments and basically saying that Laci was Jennette’s replacement. Laci later reposted a fan edited photo of the iCarly cast as the squid game cast and edited Jennette out of it. When fans called her out on it, she said that Jennette (who she has never met) never came to her defense over the racist remarks. Jennette made it clear from the beginning that she wanted no part of iCarly as she has a lot of trauma associated with it. Laci is basically hating Jennette over some internet trolls while the iCarly cast is basically bringing a lot of J’s trauma back to the surface with this revival. To each their own, but Laci being this hateful towards her is definitely uncalled for.

    • @joshz2491
      @joshz2491 7 місяців тому +2

      Neither woman has a right to make others feel guilty. Icarly may have been created by Dan S. But he does not own it, and Miranda and the other returning cast members wanted to do more with the characters and more importantly work together again. The show was largely a positive experience for them, and nobody from the original Producers/writers is even involved in the new Icarly. Just Miranda, Jerry, and Nathan. Jennette lost any right to be mad that the revival exists when she quit acting altogether.
      Laci is probably just feeling upset that she experienced hate and toxicity from Sam's fans and has a natural reaction to the stupid media asking questions about Jennette during Icarly revival press events because it has zero relevance to the current version of the show. So I don't actually think it has anything to do with Jennette herself but the fact that fans and media keep dragging her into press when she is not even involved. I know that as the newcomer that would annoy the hell out of me.

    • @Mondlerrrr
      @Mondlerrrr 7 місяців тому +30

      @@joshz2491 Laci straight up admitted on instagram that she doesn’t like her. Yes, they had every right to do the revival, but they also knew that she would be brought up time and time again. Laci can be annoyed that the press is asking about Jennette, but she can’t deny that she was a huge part of the original show. Saying that J gave up her right when she quit acting is quite ignorant of you, especially since she quit to focus on recovery. They are all allowed to do what they want to do, but Jennette wasn’t obligated to speak out about a situation related to a show that caused part of her trauma, just as most of the cast has a right to stay silent about her book. Laci can hate her if she chooses, but it’s pretty immature seeing as she admitted she has never met her. She’s mad that J didn’t do what she wanted her to and is making this known on social media and eye rolling in interviews. What did Laci expect when she signed on to a REVIVAL of a TV show?? It goes both ways, but Laci is creating unnecessary drama. For all we know, J may not even know about the comments.

      @@Mondlerrrr Yes, everyone has a right to do what they, never said they didn't. I've listen to Janette's book while she certainly quit acting for her mental and physical health, she also quit because she never liked it. I have zero idea if she’s upset the revival exists but my point was in the same way that Janette was not obligated to come to Laci’s defense and has every right to stay out of it . Laci has every right to feel the way she does, our feelings are our feelings regardless of if we have actually met the person we might dislike. Is it immature probably but human beings are flawed people that is an inescapable truth. Honestly, it’s the toxic Sam fans I judge most harshly, a lot of them are holding so tightly onto the character when Janette has gone on record saying how much she can’t stand Sam Puckett, not to mention acting as a whole. It’s really Shame on them for dragging Janette into this mess by attacking Laci because they are too dumb not to realize that Janette doesn’t care about Sam and could care less about the revival altogether. My original comment is poorly worded.

    Who remembers at the end of icarly episodes when they would show fan sent videos of them doing weird "talents" using there feet. So what did they do with all the videos that were sent in but never made the cut? Its 97 episodes in total and thousands of kids would send feet pics, feet videos etc. every week, they even promoted you to send them and used hashtags. I'm sure Dan has various suspicious hard drives! He needs to be investigated on a federal level.

    The explosive fight “the Creator” had was definitely with Jeanette about the fact that she was *promised* she would be allowed to direct an episode, but then at the very last minute they changed their minds. In her book she doesn’t mention the fight but that she was told “someone” put their foot down, and while it’s heavily implied and believed to be Ariana who refused, my guess is Jeanette still had it out with “the Creator”, as the book jumps ahead to being told the show was cancelled and that she would get $300k for keeping her mouth shut (which she refused).

    • @ghost-husband
      @ghost-husband 8 місяців тому +34

      maybe I'm just missing some of the details of the crash but if the semi trailer was parked then isn't the bus drivers fault? not that he deserved to get hurt of course

    • @slenderman2741
      @slenderman2741 8 місяців тому +26

      It’s reported that the bus driver decided to hit the brakes instead of swerving, and essentially that’s what caused the crash. I’m unsure how he didn’t notice it sooner, it could be that the semi pulled over late at night and he simply didn’t notice until it was too late. There are many things that could play a factor in an accident like this, one being negligence, one could also just be a simple mistake. I have bad depth perception, i remember once in the worst Canadian winter I’ve ever seen, when I was driving home from my exes house at 1 am ish, and there were 3 semis just.. all over the high way. A large vehicle can’t just slow down at the drop of dime like a car or an suv can, there are different risks. He could’ve been distracted, just not paying attention, or he could’ve just not realized what was happening until it was too late.

    Jennette said in her book that Sam & Cat ended because of a sexual harassment claim against one of the producers on the show. Sounded like it was a long time coming though. Even on iCarly they always seemed to treat Jenn as the funny one and the others as eye candy. J is gorgeous too and I truly wish her the best.
