It’s kind of nuts how my partner is subjected to endless background screenings all to work on a low wage factory line but child predators can just waltz into Disney, get a job & become rich. I hate this world.

@@effywdnezday6852 exaclty, they’re not gonna hire a whistle blower. You have to play their game to get ahead. Even if you’re not apart of it, you have to keep silent about what’s going on around you, which is just as guilty as doing the act itself. I hope ppl finally realize the elite are the enemy. Laws are made to cater to them because they’re the ones paying the most taxes (money wise not percentage wise). The elite are funding politicians they want in office. They’re also bribing judges, DA’s, and police chiefs on top of having the best lawyers money can buy. Joe Biden was one of the main faces representing the war on drugs, yet his crackhead son never even spent a day in a holding cell.. The law doesn’t pertain to the rich and that’s a huge problem.

It's funny (weird?) how panicked parents were in the '80s and '90s about "stranger danger" and kids being abducted, meanwhile the reality is that most kids get assaulted by someone they know. They really had no clue how to protect us, or even where they actual threat was coming from. I hope we can do better for the next generation by teaching them to not have secrets with any adults, and to have confidence in their bodily autonomy and ability to say no and leave uncomfortable situations .

    • @partysuvius
      @partysuvius 2 роки тому +197

It’s more that we should teach kids what red flags are and what the flags mean. To watch out. Count flags, count the warning signals that their bodies give them. Children are highly perceptive and we NEED to shape their perception to become accurate and strong. That will be a defining feature of their childhood to help them for the rest of their lives. I know too many people whose senses were dulled by their parents, teachers, peers, etc. and they couldn’t reverse this dulling of their senses. Some people are drug or alcohol abusers and I wish I could help them.

@@theoutsiderjess4869 exactly this! Parents would expect the worst from strangers but when little kids reveal that an uncle touched them inappropriately so many parents are quick to dismiss it as a lie. Kids have a hard time hiding their emotions, when they are in discomfort because of someone it's easy to tell but many parents choose to ignore obvious signs to protect someone they think they know. We really need to start telling people that a predator can be anyone, even someone that never did anything to you personally, even someone you like.
Also kids have a hard time processing and explaining what happened to them in those situations, but when they really don't like being around some adults that make them uncomfortable in ways they don't quite know how to explain, parents tend to force them to comply and call them rude for not wanting to be touched.
I believe that's also how those predators keep getting jobs in hollywood. Their friends don't take the accusors seriously because "he would never do that", meanwhile any child psychatrists would tell you the child accusing the guy is displaying obvious signs of trauma. People are more willing to believe that a child would deliver an oscar worthy performance and fool everyone, than to admit that adults are far better at lying and manipulating a child and also can have all sorts of sexual perversions.

I am personally impressed at how well Dylan and Cole turned out after their Disney days. So many child stars turn to drugs and alcohol abuse and Dylan and Cole never did. The Jonas Brother's were in a very difficult position when they came to Disney. They were just getting their careers as artists going, whereas,, Dylan and Cole have been stars since infancy. So, I understand their fear of saying no. They were afraid their careers would just end.

With Dylan talking about the way they handled leaving Disney and then listening to Cole talk about why it’s such a privilege to do what they did and to also make sure that it’s important to take breaks to gather relational depth is just awesome. It’s heart warming to know that not all of my childhood heroes turned out to be divas or nutjobs. So cool to hear them speak. I think A lot of it has to do with them being so fortunate to have each other. To keep each other grounded and support one another. So cool.

when it comes to child molestation/rape charges, it's much harder to convict. According to the Shreveport Times, The conviction rate according to some estimates is around 45-50%, and experts cite multiple reasons for the disparities in sentencing and conviction rates.
One is that young children often are difficult witnesses because they include "fantastical" elements in their testimonies or they cannot give detailed, accurate information to investigators, said Dr. Sharon Cooper.
Cooper, a forensic pediatrician who has provided expert testimony in more than 300 cases involving internet and child sexual abuse crimes, also said that forensic interviews of children may not show any physical evidence of abuse, as many children wait years to disclose.
Contrast that with child pornography cases, where the conviction rate is close to 100%, because there is clear and concrete evidence in the form of the photo on the PC.

I was a victim of a pedophile ring in southern California when I was in first grade in the Orange county area. I was an innocent little boy so I didn't know it was wrong, so it didn't come to light until 2 years later when me and thousands of other childrens photos were discovered in a sting operation. That whole area of California is a hot bed for these people. It's absolutely evil and I hope all the kids involved turned out okay like me. It's crazy to think it's been more than 20 years already.

@Michelle A little but nothing too traumatic. I suppose that's for the best. I do remember it happened to all of us in an after school program.

It’s every large metropolitan area in every single country. Many countries use their state-run foster care systems to supply victims to pedophile rings from what I’ve gathered.
I’m glad you’re doing well today and I’m sorry this happened to you.

@@RevertedRashidah It was happening in after school programs in Orange County. The sick part is none of us ever got any compensation from the state and it didn't get any news coverage or anything. Swept under the rug.

You’re already one of my favorite YT channels and I watch a ton of commentary/documentary vids. Selfishly I want you to post more 😆 but please be healthy mentally if you do that! Seriously keep up the good work. You’ll grow even more soon. 🤍
