Sor3 is soooo underrated. It's my favorite in the series. There's so much level variety and the secret endings and characters plus being able to run. I'll give it to 2 on the music but I still feel 3 is the best over all
Steve Wilson I liked one a lot because of the bosses had much more interesting looks like the first boss that throws a boomerang, another boss that you can’t throw because he’s a big guy and he spits fire out. I also like the idea of the bad ending. 2 just seems to take a lot of ideas from the original game which is why I don’t get how it gets so much praise. Sor3 was interesting to say the least idk why we got such a trash version but after playing the Japanese version I love it way more minus the stripper guy in the first stage.
People LOVE the music from part two. Thats why they say it's the best, But if you muted both, they are the same game. But part 3 has more characters, levels, moves, and endings.
It's just Streets of Rage 2 with techno music because the original composer didn't return for this one. If you like Streets of Rage 2 then you will like this one as well.
@@Smoothie_The_Gamecat you can play android emulators either for android phones or android tv or tv box, on pc (windows) I use gens a sega genesis emulator, allows cheats, you can create tour own cheats, I made a mod character cheat and I found that Ash was on the american version, normaly an unused character but you can enable him through cheat codes.
I learned by accident when playing Bare Knuckle 3. I wanted to see if there were any other hidden characters and I just started pressing buttons after I beat him.
Ash is one of the strongest characters in the game besides Shiva, Axel and Skates. His double chop stun locks enemies and has great damage and his grabs are powerful, just don't go from the neutral grab at the back he'll just pinch the butt of a guy or girl he's got a hold on and laugh.

Missed one. You can enter the final stage and even clear the game if you use level select on easy mode. I had to do that or play on normal because I had no idea the stars increased damage on your jump kick and made the final boss trivial.

Back in my Gensis-playing days, I managed, with a lot of luck, to stun lock the final robot boss with Shiva's OP rapid punch! I spammed the button like a mad man hoping it would not let go while my heart was beating fast as fudge! Oof, when his final health bar completely drained... 🏆🏆🏆
I read all of the comments before making my statement....I’m guessing I’m one of the few that played this game so HARDCORE to know when your playing on Difficulty HARD; you receive up 4 extra stars for hidden super powers on all characters when reach a score milestone without DYING. I only played with BLAZE & AXEL so I’ve only seen these two go SUPERSYIAN in the streets. Plus, while playing the game on hard difficulty....when you beat ROBERT X & SHIVA (in the conference room) under the set time limit you unlock the hidden stages and secret ending. I’ve personally saw the SUPER SECRET ENDING once because SR3 is f’ing difficult to beat alone. #TheMoreYouKnow🌈
Did I dream that using a 6-button Megadrive pad and doing Street Fighter-esque rotations with X made the characters do advanced special moves, without using the meter? No one seems to reference that. Or maybe I missed it?

I was unaware of the cheats because we never had SOR3. The punch codes are hilarious. It's funny how simple it is to unlock the hidden characters and nearly all players were just unaware. Amusing.
To be fair, the majority of people that I have met in my life who are gay, do indeed giggle and prance around. Nothing against gay people, but this game isn't far off the mark and is no more "stereotypical" than Max the wrestler having loads of muscles or fat characters trying to squash you.
I see what you’re saying, but there is a pretty big difference from the relatively positive stereotype of a muscle bound wrestler, and the outdated leather-adorned stereotype we see here that typically comes from a place of ridicule (especially in Japanese culture)

Street Fighter 2 had an Indian character who does yoga ....let's cut him from the game?, if it's a Japanese character they are a ninja or a samurai, if it's a Scottish person, you can bet your arse they would be wearing a kilt and probably have bagpipes too. How else would you portray a gay character in a game like this? All you have to work with are sprites. Fat people might get offended by fat characters squashing people etc but that doesn't mean the developers hate fat people. Just people being OVER-sensitive to things which causes the game to be changed which affects everyone. Now nobody gets to go the gay guy cause they just cut him from the game. But honestly, if you were making this game and you were told that you had to create a gay character...how would you manage to do this? I think that you would do something very similar to what Ash looked like. Loved the video by the way. Blast from the past.

No SOR3 has trash looking sprites bad sound effects when you punch people and a weaker soundtrack. The best thing about it is it utilized the 6 button pad for more moves.

I liked both Streets of Rage 2 & Streets of Rage 3 Streets of Rage 1 was good also but I didn't like it better than Streets of Rage 2 or Streets of Rage 3 however streets of Rage 1 had some great music but the gameplay was okay and the only character that I liked was Blaze in Streets of Rage 2 the music was also great and the gameplay but it was only one ending in that game no matter what difficulty you put it on it was always the same ending and the only two characters I liked was skate and Blaze Max and axel were too slow now Streets of Rage 3 the music was okay but not as good as the other two but I did enjoy the game play more and it was more stuff to do in the game and it was multiple endings and I didn't have a favorite character I enjoyed playing with everybody except the kangaroo that was a big disappointment that spot could have been for Max Thunder but I think if they would have took some of the great music from Streets of Rage 1 and some of the great music in Streets of Rage 2 and put it in Streets of Rage 3 instead of having Shiva and that damn kangaroo unlockable if they would have gave us Max Thunder & Adam Hunter as the 2 unlockable characters and they didn't change the clothes and they voices I think the game would have sold better and everybody would have cared for it

That’s why I loved the remake so much. Put all 3 games together, add some more unlocked characters, new areas, and the gameplay or sor3

yeah too bad that extra lives cheat doesn't work when playing on an emulator
it works all the same, just leave the cursor on "LIVES" and press A+B+C+UP on the controller 2. Then the limit will be raised to 9.

I liked both Streets of Rage 2 & Streets of Rage 3 Streets of Rage 1 was good also but I didn't like it better than Streets of Rage 2 or Streets of Rage 3 however streets of Rage 1 had some great music but the gameplay was okay and the only character that I liked was Blaze in Streets of Rage 2 the music was also great and the gameplay but it was only one ending in that game no matter what difficulty you put it on it was always the same ending and the only two characters I liked was skate and Blaze Max and axel were too slow now Streets of Rage 3 the music was okay but not as good as the other two but I did enjoy the game play more and it was more stuff to do in the game and it was multiple endings and I didn't have a favorite character I enjoyed playing with everybody except the kangaroo that was a big disappointment that spot could have been for Max Thunder but I think if they would have took some of the great music from Streets of Rage 1 and some of the great music in Streets of Rage 2 and put it in Streets of Rage 3 instead of having Shiva and that damn kangaroo unlockable if they would have gave us Max Thunder & Adam Hunter as the 2 unlockable characters and they didn't change the clothes and they voices I think the game would have sold better and everybody would have cared for it
Streets of Rage 3 Japanese version with English Subtitles plus Streets of Rage 2 music would be GOD LEVEL.

I wish SoR4 is 3D model on 2D plane, so that the main characters can change skins.
Weaker of the Series Nah in my opinion Streets of Rage are the best Mega drive games as I never liked the Sonic games at all Street the Rage are Best game's for the Mega drive

Jalen hunter because he is not using a ps4 console to show us the cheats So he does not use the same buttons to do the cheat
I have the Mega Drive collection on PS4. When I select the Japanese version, every cheat works. You just have to visualize which buttons are which

Yea in some ways streets of rage 3 feels more deep and btw Any 1 who says streets of rage 2 is Impossible to top is stupid, uncreative and not from the ghetto. Hell I could probably make a streets of rage game using original hardware that can top streets of rage 2 🤷🏽♂️🤟🏽

What?! The weakest in series-by who? I’ve never heard anyone say that. That title should go to 1. 1 was a great stepping stool, 2 they did things right, 3 was neutral point of progress. It did things right and wrong. But how on Earth is 3 not better than 1.
