Honestly, I am 72 yrs old...I can flat cook your socks off, but, except for bread, I've never been able to bake worth a darn...well...not until now! I've been making bread machine bread, using the dough cycle for quite a few years. After watching your video (and following it to the letter) I made the prettiest pan of cinnamon rolls ever seen in this old house. I didn't have any cream cheese on hand, so I just made regular white frosting...My husband didn't complain...he just made me promise to pick up some cream cheese in the next day or two and "give-er another go". I have a sneaking feeling my little bread machine is going to be very busy. Thanks Colleen!
Me too. I’m 70 and I can cook, fry, roast, smoke, bake cakes, cookies, up a storm, but baking bread, rolls, etc., has always been a challenge. I don’t know why! I bought an excellent Cuisinart bread machine a couple years ago thinking that NOW I’d be able to make bread. Nope. Even my bread machine bread is “off”. I’m hoping that by watching others use one, I’d learn a tip or two. I’m not giving up! Bring it! 😃and thank you!
You are too cute, Lady 🥰. I used my dough cycle for some dinner rolls for the very first time last night even though I’ve had my bread machine for a few years. I have, however, used the jam setting. I am so in the mood to explore more baking by using the dough cycle & came across your video with its compelling title! And cinnamon rolls just happens to be what I want to try next so lucky me finding these recipes. I have driven through Golden many times over the years when I lived in Vancouver & Kelowna and have an Aunt and cousins in the Okanagan. I now live in Ontario just outside Toronto. Thank you for sharing your recipes ❤💐🙏
A tip for helping your bread or buns rise into sit them on a heating pad that is covered with a tea towel and set on low or medium. A cosy spot for a light and fluffy result!
Brilliant idea!! I live in Colorado and between the altitude and frigid temps it can be ‘challenging’ at times to get dough to rise. Hence, my bread maker which I love. However, I’m going to try your idea now and hopefully it might help in rising dough, outside the machine, in those frigid days. Thanks so much!
I bought my bread machine at the Good Will store for $5. It has DEFINITELY put in it's work! Like you, I make dough and then do the rest by hand. I absolutely love it! I am retired and live alone so I can make small batches a couple of times a week or make full batches and freeze the excess dough in small portions for later. I especially appreciate you stressing the fact you don't have to babysit your machine-you CAN multi-task!Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
Same here, retired with a small family. Have you made hamburger buns from your bread loaf? Curious, because I get those patties, then freeze them individually. Makes for a "fast food" lunch for a lot less money. Thanks.
I use my bread machine just like you! At the start of the pandemic I decided that I was going to start making bread. I couldn't justify spending the several hundred dollars that a stand mixer costs, but I could definitely afford the $14.99 that Goodwill was charging for a barely used Breadman machine. Also at Goodwill I found a cookbook entitled "How to Make European Breads in your Bread Machine". I make dough weekly and have turned out some beautiful and tasty rye breads, Italian loaves and French baguettes. If people only knew how useful bread machines are!
Well let's try and educate more people! I do plan to do another video about the different things you can make in a bread machine and how much it can help you. Good find at the goodwill. Best wishes, Colleen
I am looking for a good rye bread recipe for the bread machine. He said my recipe was too dense. He wants it light and fluffy. Could I get your recipe so I can try it?
I often use a white bread recipe, substituting 1 cup rye flour for one of the 3 total cups of bread flour. Add 1 Tb caraway seeds and 2Tb brown sugar. Use the whole wheat setting.
I'm 74, been using a bread machine since the 80s. A company called DAK sold me my first one. It looked like R2D2 with a big glass top so I could watch the bread being made. Dak also sent me 4/5 bread cookbooks. Banana Split bread, Chicken Noodle Soup, Onion soup bread and many others. I still make bread in my machine. I always bake the bread right in the machine. Nothing could be easier.
I am just a few years younger, and I also bought a DAK Auto Bakery bread machine in the 80s! Today, I use a Zo Virtuoso and dough maker. The latter allows me to make twice as much dough in one mixing bowl. I have always had an affinity for bread makers, and I have gifted many friends various units over the years. Happy bread baking!
Hello Ma'am, I came across your channel yesterday and looked at the first roll recipe. I knew today was suppose to be cold and all weekend long. I have to make an effort to get my bread machine down from the top pantry shelf but I'm making the rolls and I think I might as well make the cinnamon rolls too. I've been retired for some years now and my main thing was to master the art of baking dinner rolls and bread. A loaf of "good" bread in the grocery store cost so much money it's unbelievable. It's robbery, but if you can't bake then you're at the mercy of the grocery. Now I have the knowledge of using my bread machine to bake 3 items (for now) almost instantly. I subscribed and look forward to binge watching your videos. Be Blessed and Pray for Peace. I appreciate all you do.
Thank you so much Martha! It is so good to hear that my video is inspiring people to get those bread machines out and put them to work. Best wishes, Colleen
I like to get extra measuring cups (thrift store) to keep in cannisters, so I don't have to keep washing them. It has saved me so much time. I love bread machines--I have 3 with different shaped pans, and I do bake in them. Making pizza dough is a great thing to do with it, too.
@oursilvermoments6028 Hello, from Texas😊 I found your channel this evening. My old bread machine I bought at thrift store finally gave out, hubby ordered me a new one and I can't wait to try these. I was wondering where you bought the runs that hold your flour? I buy bulk and that would be a perfect size..😊😊 Blessings Renee
I'm 42 & just got a bread machine for mothers Day... Guess my kids are trying to tell me something..lol... I was just about to return it when I came across your channel. Thank you very much . After trying your recipes,I'm hooked. Can't wait to see your other bread maker breads, thanks again
I’m 79 and have been using a bread machine for 30 years. I just learned a new trick for cinnamon rolls. I mix the sugar, cinnamon and melted butter together and make a paste. I just spread it over the dough. After shaping the rolls and right before baking I pour 1/4 cup of heavy cream, half and half or evaporated milk over the rolls before baking. Try it. You’ll be amazed with how long they stay nice and moist. Love your videos!
Yes! The heavy whipping cream! It is an AMAZING “hack” for those cinnamon rolls! Plus, I’ll sprinkle chopped pecans in mine; take out of oven, & drizzle some thinned out vanilla icing on them. ❤️
@@peggymcguire6042 I don’t use nuts because my grandson has an allergy. If he’s not her I might or maybe try putting them on just a couple. I do the icing as well.
I'm guilty of leaving my bread machine on the pantry shelf. 😓 After watching you make so many recipes of goodies, especially the cinnamon rolls. I am going to try make them too. Thanks for sharing Colleen. Would love to see more bread machine recipes. Thanks 😁
I have been wanting to try my hands in bread making. Today I was in a thrift shop and saw a bread machine for $3.00 I was so happy . I felt like I hit the biggest jack pot in Las Vegas. I came home and made my first loaf. It turned out to be delicious even though it had a hallow hole in the center. I looked on UA-cam and found your channel. I was very impressed with your videos. So tomorrow I will be trying your recipes.I will let you know how it all comes out.Thank you for sharing.
I’m 473 years old, i’ve been making bread since Napoleon spent the winter in Moscow. I’m not sure how the screen is making these moving images, but I sure do like your bread conjuring machine
I never thought about doing it this way. I've always wanted a stand mixer for kneading since my hands don't like to cooperate these days. The added bonus is that I can pick one up at goodwill for about a tenth of the price of the mixer!
My hands are one of the reasons I love my bread machine. I am getting quite arthritic and my hands hurt after kneading bread so this machine is a dream for me.
I also can not knead my dough anymore and also have a Hamilton Beach bread machine. I use it weekly and have also never baked a loaf in it. I take the dough out at the end of the dough cycle and put in pans, let it rise, and bake it in the oven. I do my bagel dough, yeast doughs, and sourdough in it and love it. The best machine I have in the kitchen. My oldest son and his family love the bagels I make using the machine for the dough.
I have yet to make a loaf of bread. In a bread maker! I've made my dough for pizza, burger, hot dog buns and cinnamon rolls. And of course my sandwich bread. Love it! I'm on my 4th bread maker!
@@brendamaas4293 handiest tool in my kitchen is my bread machine! I see you use yours alot and good for you. I'm sure your family enjoys all that wonderful homemade bread.
I can smell your kitchen from Tx! I agree, let our machines work for us! We don’t use a rub board anymore to wash clothes, a bread machine is a useful tool. I love your kitchen!
I got my first bread machine this year, I'm 74 yrs. old. I have one like yours and then found a 'Emirrel Lagasi' bread machine in Goodwill, still in the box! I love that it makes a 'regular" loaf, lol, 2.5 lbs. worth, it's a beauty! I don't like all the chemicals in bread and here in Hawaii yes, $10 or more per loaf. I bake bread every weekend and love it. I bake a loaf of sugar free bread for my husband, yay stevia! I put honey in mine, and both are amazing yum! I don't have a stove so bread machine is a treasure! I've also been making my own mayonnaise, which is delicious and easy, lots of recipes here in YT! So nice to meet you and love your channel! Mahalo and Aloha from Maui
Loved watching how many items you baked in one day.. I'm 81 years old and make all the bread, rolls etc. that my family of 3 eats. People ask me how I can do all that work at my age and are shocked when I tell them I let my work horse machine do the work. and the oven does the rest 🙂
One thing that helps make cinnamon rolls scrumptious is pouring cream over the unbaked rolls & put in the fridge over night. Next day bake them as usual. It makes them so much better.
Hi! I just found your video. I’m 24 and learning to bake and cook from the internet. Excited to watch the rest of your videos! Thanks for being a surrogate grandma chef ❤
I wa so happy I saw this video. I’ve never had luck at making bread though I consider myself a good cook. I turned 70 this summer and bought myself a bread maker. We love the taste but not the shape or hole in the bottom of the loaf. So I pulled dough out of my machine last week and baked in a bread pan in the oven. This video confirmed that I can make a variety of dough in my machine and bake off in the oven. I plan on trying all three of your recipes. Thanks so much for sharing. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
Good for you Debi, I am not far off that age myself and used to make hand made bread but as the kids left home the recipes were too big for us as neither of us likes frozen bread so the bread machine has been a life saver.
It's been SO long since I've made cinnamon rolls (and awhile since I've used my 27-yr old bread machine). It was a favorite treat from childhood - only we'd always add raisins along with the cinnamon, sugar, & butter before rolling up. I like your style, can tell you've comfortable cooking and don't need to be fussy with perfect precise measurments. Blessings.
I’m certainly not a baker or much of a cook but my wife hasn’t been well for two or three years so I help her more and more, I have to say I’m pretty good at mashed potatoes. My favorite is breakfast food but you know she isn’t much on it. This bread machine has me thinking. Is each of the three items you make have different ingredients in them? Could you cut noodles from one of them? I’m going to buy me one of those machines tomorrow to go with my other fancy new gadget’s I bought for her that my 80 year wife doesn’t like. She is an old school mighty fine cook who can no longer stand and mix for long periods of time so I’ll have to learn it. I enjoyed your video.
Good for you Jimmie. I haven't made noodles but I think the recipe book that came with my machine had a pasta dough recipe. I'm glad to see you found Colleen's UA-cam channel. She has lots of great topics that I've found very informative.
@@jimmievetor5008 , If you have room for a stand mixer, they are great. If my arm is too weak for something like scrambling eggs, I just throw them in there on low. It's also easier to clean than a blender.
I have never seen your show before, and I’m so glad that I found it. I’m going out and buy a bread machine and I’m 74 years old. I liked everything about your show your voice and your mannerisms. I just liked it all and I’m looking forward to seeing you again I subscribed to your channel. I hope there’s a way that I can lock this recipe up again because I know you’ll be making other things and I’m not very computer savvy. Thanks
I love your enthusiasm for the bread maker! I wore one out when my kids were little and then got away from using one for several years but in the last few years have purchased another one and use it on a regular basis. We always enjoyed making pizza dough for homemade pizzas too. I have to try the cinnamon buns in honor of my mom. She would make them and I never have. They always seemed more complicated. You made it look like something I CAN do. Thank you!
I bought a bread slicing guide off amazon for about $5. I've been using a bread machine for years, and that slicing guide came to be so useful! Loved this video!! 💜❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🇺🇸
I enjoyed your bread machine recipes and am definitely gonna give them a try. Iv had my bread machine a little under two years and have enjoyed what few things I’ve made. My problem has been that a lot of the videos I’ve seen are saying you have to have specific flours and ingredients and they say you have to weigh and measure so precise that it intimidated me. You make it seem so simple and doable that I feel I can make your recipes with success. Thanks.
Oh my goodness Colleen…..I have resisted owning a bread machine as my husband and I wrestle with weight. We are about to lose that contest because you have convinced me I need to have one of these! Great video! Thank you!
Yes I have resisted making bread unless I have visitors for meals…BUT I am not going to deprive myself of this joy….BUT I will stop eating for the day at lunchtime.
Please check out Bread Beckers channel. Sue Becker teaches the nutritional benefits of eating bread using freshly milled flour. I actually lost 10 pounds (in a month’s time) by eating the bread 3 times a day. I have noticed than my weight begins to edge back up when I am not eating the bread on a consistent basis.
So glad I found your channel! I use my bread machine the same way, especially during Fall and Winter. I live in North Florida, so in our hot Spring and Summer seasons, I use my bread machine instead of heating up the house with my oven. Your reasons why people don't use their bread machine is spot on. I also think the reason we find these wonderful machines in thrift stores is because many really don't know how to use them, and don't or won't take the time to learn. My 36 year old son has many friends, but doesn't know even one young lady that knows how to cook. That's really sad.
I agree Carol! People just don't take the time to learn the machines and they get put by the wayside. And yes it is so sad that young people are not learning how to cook. Thanks for being here! Colleen
Glad to be here! I've also passed on your channel to my friend in Estevan. BTW - I used my bread machine yesterday to make baked doughnuts, and instead of jelly, I used Nutella. They come out SO good!@@oursilvermoments6028
I have several bread machines that I use for the dough cycle and I use them often so I can have several batches going at once. Grandma Sue in central Indiana
Thank you for the recipe for Brown Bread! I made it today. The bread was the best I have ever made. Since I am past 70years old, I have tried lots of recipes! Love your channel but I seldom comment on any video. This bread was so good I had to tell you. Thanks again. Charlie
I just found your channel, and I'm hooked. I went downstairs and brought my bread machine back up, and promptly placed it back on the counter. I'm making a loaf of bread now. Thank you
I’m so anxious every time you pour salt over all the products you have already measured and have in your basin of the bread machine. I’m 66 & have been baking since age 11, alone. But, still my heart is doing a flitter flutter! I’ll be trying your recipes & thanks so much for sharing them. I appreciate your time also, especially in making the video for our use. I wish you blessings!
LOVE your channel I am 73 and your ways seem so familiar to me.Feels like i know you! Have a bread maker that the baked bread gets stuck in, so now instead of ditching it, i will use the dough cycle after watching you. Thanks
I’m 64 and have no cooking talent whatsoever! I got a new Bread Machine for this past Christmas. I must admit it’s still in the box. You have given me the courage and hope that I may be able to use my Bread Machine. I’m going to try.
I received a really nice bread machine 30 years ago for my wedding and wound up giving it away because the bread wasn’t good at all. I’ve always struggled with yeast breads not coming out right. Today I purchased an old used machine at the thrift store and with your expertise I finally made delicious homemade bread. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
I'm on my third bread machine. I only used the dough setting. My newest has so many settings that I had to try. Now make pound cake and pumpkin quick bread in it. Going to try jam next.
New subscriber because your video just showed up on my main UA-cam page. I wasn't even thinking about baking bread using a machine. My Mom passed away Nov 01, 2022 and I now take care of my Dad who lives out of town. When I stay with him for 21/2 weeks out of the month, I am constantly bringing all of my supplies like stand mixer, attachments etc. just to make dough. My Mom used a bread maker but I have always done it by hand (until I finally got one for Christmas 2022) After watching only part of this video, I paused the video & I just called my 80 year old Dad to ask him where the bread maker is. He said its in the storage locker downstairs and he's going to ask the neighbor to carry it upstairs for him in the morning. He's excited that I am excited! Thank you Colleen!
@katrinagraham7615 You are very welcome Katrina and I have loved reading your comments. It is humbling to hear that I have inspired someone. Best wishes to you and your Dad, Colleen
@@oursilvermoments6028 Thank you so much! I never expected a prompt comment on an older video! One time I accidentally had the pan on a heating pad and didn't know it was on (one of those days - single parent life!) The bread came out amazing and I have used it ever since then. I think that was the other comment you were talking about!
Thank you so much for these recipes! I would love more future recipes you have for this bread maker! I would have loved to see how you made the rolls in your last recipe with your roll dough.
LOVED YOUR VIDEO! I'm 83 and living in rural Hawaii. Bread is $10 a loaf and cinnamon buns are about $10 for 4 ! So I will definitely get out my dusty bread machine and give it another try !
Honestly I was about to get rid of my bread machine,,, thanks to you I'm going to give it one last shot on all three of your recipes,, thank you for the inspiration ❤
I own 2 bread makers and I rarely ever bake in them. It’s almost exclusively used for cinnamon roll dough. I remember growing up making cinnamon roll dough the old fashioned way every year for Christmas breakfast. The whole family loved them and looked forward to them. Once I got married the responsibility of making the rolls fell onto my husband and I. One year soon after that my husband won a bread maker at a company picnic and the chore of making the holiday rolls became a lot easier. Eventually I purchased a 2nd machine and we started making extra pans of rolls for extended family and friends. We made the up Christmas Eve morning and was able to drop off our gift of raw cinnamon rolls. The recipe I used could be prepped and kept in the refrigerator overnight and the recipient could bake them the next morning. There is nothing better than the smell of warm cinnamon rolls fresh out of their own oven. But 8 years ago we lost mom and 3 years later I lost my husband. My health wasn’t very good so I stopped making the rolls. 😊
We love these cinnamon rolls! They turn out moist and fluffy every time and are so simple to make. You inspired me to dust off my bread machine and put it into use again. Thank you!
I just wanted to say that I literally made these dinner rolls an hour ago in a brand new bread machine I just got and have only used once, and they are literally perfect. I wish we could post pix here!
OMG - you reminded me that I have a bread machine. Bought during pandemic and used like 2 times - think I will follow your channel and use it regularly - It's just me but my son and family only live about a mile away. Thanks for the reminder.
Love this. I use my bread machines for so many things, and , like you, always use the dough cycle and bake in the oven. Fresh homemade baked products are so much better. ❤
Great video. I have often used my bread machine to make dough. I do pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, dinner buns, braided breads, and beaver tails - the favourite of my teen aged sons many years ago. If you have never heard of beaver tails' they are a Canadian specialty, made in the way doughnut are. Divide the dough into 12 pieces. Roll the dough into long ovals. Fry in hot oil until puffed up and browned on both sides. Add toppings, like cinnamon sugar, or icing, or sliced fruit - bananas, strawberries, with chocolate syrup. If you ever come to Canada, you can buy hot beaver tails from vendors at fairs, or in street markets. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing the information about the Beaver tails. I live in Golden, BC so I am very aware of them but most of my viewers are American and wouldn't know. Best wishes, Colleen
I keep my bread machine on the counter and I use it at least three times a week or more with bread, rolls, pizza dough and more. Best tool in the kitchen. My sons favorite is soft pretzels and cinnamon rolls. Quick rise yeast is the special bread machine yeast instead of the one that needs to be activated.
I love my bread machine. I made some cinnamon raisin bread this week for my husband. He loves the treats that come from it. I took some of the raisin bread from the loaf and made french toast for him yesterday with maple syrup on top...now he Really loves the bread machine. Thank you for the recipes, I will be making the cinnamon rolls very soon, I have to get more yeast. I will be adding your recipes into my recipe book I'm making for my 12 year old Granddaughter who loves to cook and bake. You have a new sub. Have a beautiful day!
Your comment about not liking the taste of the recipe that came with the bread machine being the reason the machine is not used is spot on! I was a little disappointed that you didn’t make white bread (my fav). If you are looking for another video topic . . . Would you share a white bread recipe?
I’ve never used it for just dough…thank u! We use the recipes in the booklet…comes out great. Had it for a few years & finally put into heavy use in 2020, still use it often.
I just found your channel and love how easy you are at presenting your recipes! They all look great. I look forward to seeing more of your creations! I use to do bread making when I couldn't sleep and I did bake it in the breaadmaker so I ould finally get some sleep. My hubby always had fresh bread in the morning. We also used it alot during COVID the hubby even got into it. I think he was kind of bored at times and had fun making bread by just using the bread mahine for the dough making just like you do. Thanks Colleen for the great recipes! I will check out your other videos
I just found your channel and want to thank you for reminding me I have a bread machine that I gave up on months ago after failure after failure. I make our bread but recently my mixer quit on me and I'm waiting for my new one to arrive, wondering if I would be able to actually hand make and knead our bread this week. I can use my bread machine to mix and knead my dough. I had forgotten all about it being stored in the storage room. You have just saved me from having a carpel tunnel flare up. Thank you!!
I recently bought a bread machine and was so impressed with your cinnamon rolls. I've watched this video twice because I have a Zojirushi, and it has a homemade setting. So, I am hoping this bread maker will let me make your recipe the way you did. Your recipe looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your time and the recipe. I love how you do it all.
I won a bread machine maker at work, and honestly, I am afraid to use it until now. It's so easy (for me) to see others showing how to properly use it than to read the instructions. Thank you. Hope to see more recipes. 😊
I’m very glad this video popped up even though I hadn’t searched for something like it. I’ve had a bread machine a friend gave me for about 6 months but haven’t used it yet. Even though it has the recipe booklet it was sold with I wasn’t sure about using it. Now I will and bake the dough in the oven like you did. I hope mine turns out as well as yours looks! 👌👍💕
I'm definitely craving homemade bread 🍞!! All three of these look so good!!! And I must say you're looking gorgeous as always Colleen!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!😉😉
Oh my Colleen , all of these look amazing ! I have a bread machine but don’t use as often as I’d like to . Glad to see you back and doing well !! Enjoyed this time with you , from Greeneville Tennessee!
Hello Bridget, It is nice to be back and feeling good. I hope this has inspired you to get your machine out and use it more often. Best wishes, Colleen
Colleen you know I’ll be making these for sure and certain I usually buy pillsbury cinnamon rolls when I take a sweet with my woman’s group at church I doctor them a little these look so east ! I bought a large bread machine a few months ago I’m getting it out as soon as I’m done canning apples
Well that is great news Wendy! My family loves that I use my bread machine so much. We never buy bread or buns anymore. I even make hamburger and hot dog buns. I hope you get yours out and put it to work for you as soon as you can. Best wishes, Colleen
You cook just like I learned, even keeping a wad of waxed paper in the butter or shortening to grease the inside of a pan. Same aluminum bread pan, too. It is unreal. Just love watching your vidoes.
Everything looked delicious. I love using the bread machine. I don’t like cooking the bread in it as it leave a hole in the bottom where the kneading thingy is. I cook my bread in the stove oven too. I like Honey Oatmeal Bread. Mmm Mmmm good.
I decided to keep my newly unused bread machine. Winter is here and time to experiment. You make it look easy without all the music and life stories. Thank you!
Everything looks delicious! 😋 I love using my bread machine, as well. It does the hard word and your free to do other things or just put your feet up for a break. Great video Colleen! 😊👍
Thank you Rita! My husband and I had quite the chat about why people don't work their bread machines more and came to the conclusion that most people are busy and haven't figured out how to make it fit into their routines. I'm happy to hear you have it worked out. Best wishes, Colleen
I just purchased two bread machines one for me for my birthday in October and one for my daughter for Christmas. I'm so glad to have come across your video. I've had machines before but like you said wasn't thrilled with the distorted center having a hole from the beater. This new machine also does a longer loaf like bread rather than short and stubby. Thanks for sharing I wanted to make Italian bread.❤
Sweet Colleen..loved watching your bread videos. Thankyou so much for saving my bread machine from the next yard sale. What a wonderful idea to use it this way. So awesome. Thanks again..your neighbor is lucky to have you not only for your bread but as a very nice friend. ❤
Thank you Sherry, I am so glad to have been able to inspire you to use your bread machine. It is a great tool and once you think outside the box there are alots of ways to use it. I think I can make another video with more ways to use it yet! Cheers, Colleen
I am on my second bread machine as I actual wore out motor on my original one. The one that I have now is identical to my first one and I paid five bucks for this one and I've had it for 14 years now. Love it. I've always used the dough cycle.
They are great machines when we make them work for us. I hear some grinding going on in mine and the paddle won't co.e out anymore so I am going to start looking for a new one as well.
Hi, Colleen. I'm a new subscriber and want to thank you for reminding me how to enjoy using my bread machine. It's been over 20 years since last I made bread in it, but will certainly fire it up again and use it the way you've demonstrated today. Those cinnamon rolls look absolutely delicious and that loaf of bread was perfect...as I'm sure were the dinner rolls. 😊 Thanks for the inspiration! And, I'm looking forward to more of your kitchen shenanigans. 🥰
I bought a bread machine new, hardly ever used it, donated it, missed it, bought one at thrift store, hardly used it, donated it, missed it, now I am on my 3rd machine and swore I will keep it and so it sat on the floor in my pantry. NO LONGER! Thank you so much for showing us that we can do more than make a small loaf of bread! This was a great video, yay!!!
Haven't used My bread machine in awhile, this has put me in the mood to pull it out And use it... I Am 70 and love to cook, .y family tells me I am a great cook, it's thanks to starting to cook at a young age with my grandmas. You made it look so easy to do the dough in the machine...thanks for sharing your recipes.❣️👩🍳
Love my breadmaker, I've already worn out 3 of them, always use the dough cycle never bake the bread in the machine. Since the pandemic I don't purchase bread products, I bake all my own white and whole wheat bread, crusty French and Italian loaves, buns, cinnamon buns, hot cross buns, you name it. Almost any bread recipe can be made in the bread machine, just be aware of the size loaf your machine can handle and adjust accordingly. Thank you for the video, your products look amazing.
Very much enjoying your channel. Like you I never bake the bread in the machine. I bought a DAK bread machine (Wellbuilt) in the '80s and its still going strong! A little worse for the wear, but I need it now more than ever as 70+ years old. One of our favorite everyday white bread recipes is the Betty Crocker bread machine recipe. Looking forward to more recipes on your channel. Thank you.
I have had a bread machine for 25 years. The same one. I use it now to do my dough. I made a loaf in the pan. My best investment. Like you I use it weekly. I found a recipe from Kelly Barlow on you tube that my family loves. Going to make cinnamon rolls this week. Everything you made looked great.
I bought a bread machine in early 2023. It's still sealed in the box. I'm so glad I came across your channel. Using the machine to make dough for cinnamon rolls is getting me excited. I never made rolls like this. I have accepted the cheating way. Pre-made with heavy cream. Even toast. Butter, cinnamon & sugar w/cool whip on top. That's cheating, but it does work. Start to finish. You can have a cinnamon roll in under 5 minutes. Thank you for posting this.
Im 80 and have never made cinnamon buns...always wanted to. Until now i didnt think to just prepare dough in the breadmaker....Im on a roll now since watching your video. Thanks!
I have a expensive bread machine that I bought about a year ago and I can’t tell you how disappointed I’ve been with the bread that has come out of it. And I do bake the bread in the machine. I was ready to get rid of it until I saw your video which I really appreciate. My favorite bread is artesian bread and I haven’t had any of that since I got my bread maker. Your video gave me some inspiration to maybe give my breadmaker another try before I sell it. Thank you for creating your videos. I am a new subscriber.
You inspire me to use my bread machine more. I made a loaf of white bread yesterday in my bread machine. I let it bake k. There, but next time I will try using the dough setting and bake it in the oven. I am going to try the cinnamon rolls too when I have some grandkids over. Thank you for sharing Colleen.❤️✝️🙏🇺🇸
I am so thankful that I didn't sell my bread machine. Affer seeing these recipes, I am going to dust off my bread machine and and start making bread in the machine instead of making it in the stand mixer. I am so glad I found your channel. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us.
Awe, im so happy to hear that you are going to get your bread machine out. They are such a useful tool and they do save money over buying bread at the store. Best wishes, Colleen
I am 92 and after watching your video I’m off to buy my first bread machine. $10 for a loaf of bread at the store is crazy. Thanks for the inspiration
You're welcome Susan! I hope you enjoy your bread machine. Best wishes, Colleen
I hope you enjoy it. Homemade bread is much healthier!
Where is bread $10 a loaf?!
My bread here at the cheapest level is $1.99 and at the most expensive is about 625 for the ridiculous green organic stuff
@@deedeemooreco.2304just a thought. Make sure your yeast is good 😊
I make my own yogurt and love that I can use the cream cheese I make with a portion of it for cinnamon rolls! How smart, thanks you.

I'll try that next time. Thanks.
Excellent.. I’ve got a mini electric blanket.. England is so cold.. and no one wants to put on the central heating.
HAHA! I thought I was the ONLY one who did this!!! It's so good this way - so fluffy indeed!!
Thank you for your kind comments!
I make cookie dough in mine too, because it seem to make my little hand held mixer work too hard.
Use the whole wheat setting.
let HIM make it@@tammyfritschie1697
Same here. Exactly.
I like to get extra measuring cups (thrift store) to keep in cannisters, so I don't have to keep washing them. It has saved me so much time. I love bread machines--I have 3 with different shaped pans, and I do bake in them. Making pizza dough is a great thing to do with it, too.
Thats a great idea! I will be looking for some extra measuring cups and will be making pizza crust for a video very soon. Cheers, Colleen

Hello, from Texas😊
I found your channel this evening.
My old bread machine I bought at thrift store finally gave out, hubby ordered me a new one and I can't wait to try these.
I was wondering where you bought the runs that hold your flour? I buy bulk and that would be a perfect size..😊😊

Same!
I'm 42 & just got a bread machine for mothers Day... Guess my kids are trying to tell me something..lol...
I was just about to return it when I came across your channel. Thank you very much .
After trying your recipes,I'm hooked.
Can't wait to see your other bread maker breads, thanks again
I use a command strip hook and hang 2 measuring cups 1 cup & 1/2 cup on each container. It works well!
Thank you Carole, I have heard of doing that but haven't tried it. Good tip. Best wishes, Colleen
I'm 49 and have only just started using a breadmaker this year. I wonder if I'll still be making my own bread when I'm 79 😄
@@hellfirepicturesyou will! I use mine all the time and have been using several different machine throughout my 70 years!

I AM PULLING MY BREAD MACHINE OUT RIGHT NOW!!
❤
You made my day.
Great comment! Haha
😂 best comment 😂
You made me laugh out loud. Great comment!
@@Rebeccawilliams-pb1us good for you! It is great to hear that you use the machine! Best wishes, Colleen

Thank you! Yes, let the machines work for us. Blessings, Colleen
74 yrs old? wow.
Loved watching how many items you baked in one day.. I'm 81 years old and make all the bread, rolls etc. that my family of 3 eats. People ask me how I can do all that work at my age and are shocked when I tell them I let my work horse machine do the work. and the oven does the rest 🙂
Good for you!
One thing that helps make cinnamon rolls scrumptious is pouring cream over the unbaked rolls & put in the fridge over night. Next day bake them as usual. It makes them so much better.
I have seen that recipe but never tried it! I will have to do that. Thanks for watching, Colleen
or just pour 3 or 4 Tbsp heavy cream over after baking for 10 minutes; This makes them really soft and fluffy
Hi! I just found your video. I’m 24 and learning to bake and cook from the internet. Excited to watch the rest of your videos! Thanks for being a surrogate grandma chef ❤
You're welcome! I hope you find lots of interesting things here. Best wishes, Colleen
Very inspirational. Thank you
@@lindalee8267 you're welcome Linda, thanks for watching!
at the last kneading, take out the dough and remove the paddles then bake
It's been SO long since I've made cinnamon rolls (and awhile since I've used my 27-yr old bread machine). It was a favorite treat from childhood - only we'd always add raisins along with the cinnamon, sugar, & butter before rolling up. I like your style, can tell you've comfortable cooking and don't need to be fussy with perfect precise measurments. Blessings.
I love cinnamon rolls with raisins but make them without so that everyone will eat them. Thanks for watching. I appreciate that. Cheers, Colleen
@@jimmievetor5008 ,
If you have room for a stand mixer, they are great.
Thanks
Hello Marie, Thank you for subscribing! I hope you find all kinds of things useful here. Best wishes, Colleen
Thank you!
I'm sure that you can make them if you are comfortable with the bread machine because making the dough is the toughest part. Best of luck! Colleen
Main thing - share love when you share your breads❤
Thank you!
Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. All the best, Colleen
Colleen
I taught both my daughter & son from early teens how to cook basic things. I think they both are appreciative of my efforts.

Nothing! Thanks JoAnn!
Thank you!
Excellent!!! It can be the best machine we have in the kitchen.
I just wanted to say that I literally made these dinner rolls an hour ago in a brand new bread machine I just got and have only used once, and they are literally perfect. I wish we could post pix here!

That is wonderful to hear. Not everyone buys the machine and then uses it all the time.
I love my bread machine. I made some cinnamon raisin bread this week for my husband. He loves the treats that come from it. I took some of the raisin bread from the loaf and made french toast for him yesterday with maple syrup on top...now he Really loves the bread machine.

Wonderful! It is good to hear there are people out there using them! Cheers, Colleen
EXCELLANT !!!i just found you and what a good idea. I almost threw my bread machine out, many thanks.
Thank you!!
Everything you made looked so delicious 🤤
Thank you Connie!
Same here, I use mine every week for dough. I absolutely love my bread machine!
I won a bread machine maker at work, and honestly, I am afraid to use it until now. It's so easy (for me) to see others showing how to properly use it than to read the instructions. Thank you.
Hope to see more recipes. 😊
Thank you for watching my videos. I'm pleased to hear that they may give you the confidence to make the machine work for you. Best wishes, Colleen
Love these recipes, Colleen! I'll do the cinnamon rolls at Christmas time!!!
They would be great at the holidays!
I was gifted a new machine, found your channel and I am hooked, Everything I made was amazing Thank you for sharing your videos 😍
Thank you Colleen for this great video. You are quite an inspiration. I am in awe in all that you do in a day! (from another Colleen)
Your welcome Colleen. It is great to hear from you. Cheers, Colleen
Thank you these tips are great and I look forward to using them I am from U.K. and 75 wishing you well.
Oh gosh this sounds like good timing qnd I'm sure that it will turn out just fine. Best wishes, Colleen
Thanks for sharing. Healthier to swap the sugar for honey and the butter with a splash of olive oil.
I'm definitely craving homemade bread 🍞!! All three of these look so good!!! And I must say you're looking gorgeous as always Colleen!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!😉😉
Thank you Keith!
Watching from Central Pennsylvania, USA. Love watching your videos. Inspired me to start using my bread machine. Thank you! Blessings sent your way.🥰
Oh my Colleen , all of these look amazing !
I was given a bread machine I’ve never used by someone who was given a bread machine she never used….this gives me ideas! Thank you!
That is exactly why I take the bread out and cook it in the oven. I didn't like the little mark in the bottom of the bread. :)
Yes I agree my favorite bread recipe is in the book & it's honey oatmeal....the best!
One commenter said she takes the paddle out before the last rise, & then bakes💡🤔
@@carolyndressler145 interesting!! Thanks for sharing that!
I decided to keep my newly unused bread machine. Winter is here and time to experiment. You make it look easy without all the music and life stories. Thank you!
Everything looks delicious! 😋
I love using my bread machine, as well.
Thank you so much for taking the time comment. I appreciate you being here. Best wishes, Colleen
You're welcome Connie, your kind works encourage me to continue. Best wishes, Colleen
Oh colleen! I wanted to see how you cut out your dinner rolls!
Thanks ❤! Going to treat my family with this cinnamon roll recipe this weekend! Perhaps the dinner rolls for our Sunday dinner ❤
Your welcome, I hope this video and others I have made for the bread machine keep you busy. Best wishes, Colleen
Im 80 and have never made cinnamon buns...always wanted to. Until now i didnt think to just prepare dough in the breadmaker....Im on a roll now since watching your video. Thanks!
Thanks for watching and I'm happy you have been inspired.
Just found your video, exactly what I need! Thank you.
Your welcome Patty! Best wishes, Colleen
@deewinston5651 Thank you for the kind words and it is my pleasure to share these recipes with you! Best wishes, Colleen
I'll bet your house smells soooo good! 😀
You make it look so easy, I'm gonna give this another try!🦋
