I have been watching your Holiday posts from last year and this one. Your family and friends are so lucky to have someone to make homemade goodies to share with them. Traditions are so welcoming and appreciated, especially during the holidays!
Please give us the Bread Machine recipe for your English muffins. I liked watching you make them from scratch by hand but you did tell us you would give us a bread machine for them also. Thanks for all of your and other peoples recipes that you use. Thanks for all of your time it takes you also. God bless you and your families.
Thsnk you Colleen , I know your home made cranberry sauce will be a welcomed and enjoyed gift !! I’m gonna make some for my pantry because I love whole berry sauce all year round and it’s not easy to find on the shelves year round !! Happy Thanksgiving. To you and your family !! ❤️🙏🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈🥰🥰
I just love your videos. Easy and simple to follow. I also think you are so cute and with your sweet personality it is enjoyable to learn from you. Thank you for all the hard work creating these videos.
Thanks for this Colleen. I always make cranberry sauce with orange juice, and even orange zest (if I’m not too lazy 😉). But I’ve never tried adding cinnamon and vanilla. I will this year!
Thank you Colleen. Next time I make cranberries I will be adding orange, vanilla and cinnamon. ❤ PS I also like your suggestion to make a chutney with cranberries and raisins. Yum!
I still make your Christmas morning jam every year and have been looking for cranberries to can. Had a recipe picked out but like this one much more! Enjoyed the snow out your window. We are supposed to get slammed in Southern Ontario starting today until early next week!
Thank you Colleen, I just canned up some sugar free cranberry sauce for myself yesterday! Yours sounds wonderful, so I'll can that for the regular people 😅
@CatherineBallard-o7u Hello Catherine, Yes, we do have about three inches on the ground now and the temperature is pretty steadily below zero. Winter is here.
Colleen, thank you so much for the inspiration! For Thanksgiving I made cranberry butter to serve with smoked cream cheese and crackers. The only difference was I used an immersion blender to blend it up. It was a hit, so I think I will try your recipe and suggestion. It looks very tasty!
Colleen, Thank you for a wonderful, economical gift idea. I've been racking my mind around, trying to figure out a gift that will be appreciated and this is it. Homemade, delicious sauce that will fit in with our seasonal cooking here in Newfoundland. Season Greetings to all.
Colleen this sounds so good. I make neighbors friends and family a cranberry jalapeño jam. We use it on artisan bread, bagels with cream cheese. It’s also amazing with puff pastry Brie jam and chopped nuts of your choice. Her you would enjoy. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Colleen, how do you find the rings and the lids for those jars from the dollar store cause I’ve seen them at our dollar store but I did not know if the seals will work
Hi Colleen! What a great gift idea for the holidays. Could you zest the orange, then squeeze it for its juice to use in the recipe as part of the 2 cups of orange juice? A bit of orange pulp would probably be alright if some happened to get squeezed into the juice, or you could squeeze the orange over a strainer. Just a thought! I love your recipes and your video style. Watching from Amherstburg, ON. ❤
@@renel7303. I think the orange pulp would be wonderful in it, adding another texture with a little sweetness to counteract the tartness of the cranberries.
Have you ever tried making cranberry/jalapeno jam for those who like spice? It's delicious to put just a dab, on crackers that have been spread with green onion/chive cream cheese! I'm sure there are recipes online. I made some quite by chance, when I had a leftover can of whole berry cranberry sauce, some leftover 100% juice cranberry juice, and mistakenly purchased a jar of jalapeno slices, instead of banana peppers, for another recipe. You can blend the jalapeno slices in with the cranberry juice and sauce, until it's smooth, or leave the whole berry sauce out, and just blend up the juice with the jalapenos, to make them all but "disappear". I just wanted the heat, not chunks of jalapeno in my jam. It, and my peach/jalapeno jam, using store bought canned peaches, is one of my favorite snacks, and the favorite jam of my 4 married adult children. My grandchildren still like my sweet jams and jellies, to eat on their toast and pb&j sandwiches! I'm 62 years old, and just started making jams/jellies 3 years ago! I canned a couple things before, but really started to become interested in canning because of watching UA-cam, and seeing how hard work one day, could provide food for you, that you could basically heat and eat!
Great idea for a gift. I would have liked to see the actual process of the water bath process. How much water do you use or do all the pots fit in at once?
@maryrose7842 Hi Mary, yes, all the jars fit into one pot but if you double the batch you have to repeat that. The water before it starts to boil should be one inch over the tops of the jars. I hope that helps!
@ ok thanks I think it’s a great idea but I’m not sure if I will have enough time to do it this year as I would need to look around for some jars and see if my existing pots would work.
Are they thick enough for canning? A lot of dollar store glass isn't made for canning because it's thin. Is it ok because it's not being pressure canned?
Have you ever made cranberry sherbet? It seems like something your husband might like as it uses canned jellied cranberries. If you are interested I would be happy to share the recipe with you.
I love watching the snow fall out your window ❤
Same here! We don't get snow here.
I’m a western Canadian ..it may look nice 😆 …but it’s not all that much fun clearing a driveway to get your car out of the garage! 😂
@@ruthie6749 I thought as much. Stay safe this winter.

Only if labeled for it.
