    I would like to thank you for this post; I just completed my very first scarf for my Mother's 70th birthday, and it came off excellently! Even the cast off was a snap, as I remembered how it went from memory, thanks to your great video work! Thank you for helping to teach a 40-year old dog a new and wonderful crafting trick. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy (crafting) New Year!

    (😊) Hi , I have been trying to find a video which is real and I started to lose hope then I tried your idea then it worked so I literally subbed to your channel , downloaded the video , saved it , liked it , and commented on it . I took 15 hours to knit my own scarf [I spent 7.5 hours for two days ] < you can also see the pic I sent to you in the link > `````I am actually wearing the scarf while typing this comment````` (😊)

    This is super easy!! I tried it with super bulky yarn and it still worked out good!

    • @Aliasbaba41
      @Aliasbaba41 3 роки тому

      Actually, depending on your loom, the bulkier the yarn is the better. Otherwise the stitches may not close and you get more of a fish net effect.

    Hi Tuteate, I have tried knitting in the past with regular knitting needles and was never able to grasp it. I purchased a pack of knitting looms last year as I so badly wanted to learn to knit. I stumbled across your tutorial and was amazed as to how easy and quick I was able to pick it up. Your tutorial is so simple to follow and I am pleased to say I have created my first winter scarf. I went out and bought the exact same yarn in your video and made a 2 metre length scarf, it is wonderfully long, warm and cosy. Thank your for sharing your experience with us!

    I have seen people take an ink pen, remove the ink stem and then use the barrel/tube as a stylus. You thread the yarn through the empty ink pen tube and then use this to wrap your yarn around the pegs of the loom. It makes looser tension but it also make wrapping the yarn around the pegs go a lot faster since the tube is narrow and can easily fit in between the pegs.

    • @starsoulsandi
      @starsoulsandi 8 років тому

      +MILDRED PIERCE that is a GREAT idea! I think it would help it go much faster!

    • @connieskoipond6551

      Or cut a fat straw in half. I prefer the straws unless the pegs are too close together.

    • @mildredpierce4506
      @mildredpierce4506 5 років тому

      Connie Yurkus, unless the straw is made of thick plastic, it will bend too easily and slow you down. I tried straws (the regular thin plastic ones) and had better success with the pen tube.

    Hi Nathan! :) We knitted a very long scarf here (it lengths 210 cm) so we used 360m of yarn (393 yards). The original idea was to fold each end to create a scarf with pockets at the ends... Maybe for a common scarf you could use a bit less

    Hi Jordan! If you want to make it infinity you just need to sew both sides together (make a "0" by joining them). After finishing your standard scarf, you could place your first row and your last row on the same side of the loom (you would have a similar situation of the one we work at the end of this other project: How to Loom Knit an Infinity Scarf in Elongated Stitch using a Round Loom (DIY Tutorial)) and sew them together easily. Hope this helps!

    I have created a scarf as a gift for a family member using your tutorial and it turned out gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your style of teaching there wanted to request you if you could show how to create an adult sweater for a man using the rectangular looms. Thanks

    Bravo pour cette excellente vidéo qui montre comment réaliser ( facilement ? ) une très belle écharpe . Pas de paroles inutiles mais une démonstration filmée assez près pour que l'on suive sans erreur du début à la fin . Mille mercis à toi et un amical bonjour depuis Paris !
