    I just bought a car in April that's standard. 2018 Honda Civic LX Coupe. 6 speed. I love it. Such a fun car to drive. I love driving standard. Much more fun than driving an automatic to me. I had an old Honda Civic before that was an automatic so I had no way of driving a standard. I missed it so much. Decided my new car was gonna be a standard no matter what. Never gonna have an automatic again. It was frustrating to learn how to drive one but so worth it.

    I wish I had this instructor a few days ago as I was learning. I might start again and try this. I think my car cuts off if I let off the clutch like that without giving it any gas while it’s in first. It does work like this in reverse.

      Cheers for the video content! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you tried - Tarbbatigan Cars Rehabilitation Tip (google it)? It is a good one of a kind guide for learning how to repair your car the easy way minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got cool results with it.

    Ive'd driven manual motorcycles my whole childhood, but never tried it on a car. I want to get an SI but that Manual Car experience just ain't there yet. So I might just get it delivered to my apartment complex and start learning from there. This Video brought me back tons of memories from when I was driving a Manual Motorcyle the joy of Clutching in then rev matching shit oh my days

      I just bought a manual corvette and I had to go with my brother to the dealership so he could’ve drive it back home lol I have had little l lessons and I yet haven’t stalled the car yet, probably because I drove a manual motorcycle which that helped a lot.

    My name is Velvet and I am used to driving a Automatic car. Now I am going to have my first Manuel Transmission (Stick Shift) car. I alreayd know how to drive I got my driver's license in 2015. All I need to get down is the clutch and the gearshift. So I have been watching videos on how to drive a stick and I already feel like I know how to drive one. Is that weird.?

    • @ethanperreault7470
      @ethanperreault7470 4 роки тому +3

      I know this may be very late for this response as you may already be driving manual now, but absolutely no it isnt weird at all. When I first started watching videos before I first got my stick car I felt like it was going to be a hop in and go type thing, but all I got good at was the parts with no finesse (Pushing down on the clutch, putting it in gear, checking if its in neutral, stopping, shifting). All of those things require virtually no skill, but the things that caught me were starting quickly enough to match an automatic car, downshifting smoothly, slow and methodical clutch work, the things that require finesse and time. So no, its not weird. What may attract people who want to get really good at driving manual, is the techniques like revmatch downshifting and heel-toe, which require some more practice but make the driving experience very fun.

    Title: "How to burn your clutch pads fast" Slowly let up the clutch and burn it out. Once you feel it grab, let off the clutch.

    • @BigRobChicagoPL
      @BigRobChicagoPL 4 роки тому +2

      Pretty soon there won't be any clutch to burn haha

    • @Firstneko1
      @Firstneko1 2 роки тому +1

      Nothing she did in this video would burn a clutch. There are no clutch "pads" in a clutch. Theres a clutch disc. You clearly have never driven a manual car and don't know much about them.

    • @halopcdraco
      @halopcdraco 2 роки тому

      @@Firstneko1 "Clutch plate has high friction materials attached around its perimeter. Both sides of the disc have the friction products installed where one side is forced against the face of the flywheel, and the other on the pressure plate." I call them pads. Assuming you say brake pads but there aren't any pads in your calibers to stop your car. I have a Chevy S10 that is a manual. Holding the car with the clutch barely grabbing WILL wear out your clutch friction products aka pads evenually. As soon as you feel it grab, release the clutch pedel and drive. Apparently you don't know much about vehicles either. Did you think the clutch pressed against your flywheel metal to metal? I actually have to replace my slave cylinder this weekend. I get to pull my transmission bell housing to do the job.

    • @Firstneko1
      @Firstneko1 2 роки тому

      @@halopcdraco Its called a clutch disc not pads. The only thing that wears out a clutch disc is heat. If you give a lot of revs and hold it there, then yes, it will wear it out. Giving 1500 rpms and slowly coming up on the clutch will do nothing. The clutch is designed to slip a little. Thats its job. If done repeatedly for months or years it could glaze the clutch over time, but it wont ruin it. Also, the other thing that can ruin a clutch is shock loading it, which can break the springs or rivets. You are wrong.

    • @halopcdraco
      @halopcdraco 2 роки тому

      @@Firstneko1 You didn't read my paragraph correctly. Second times the charm. "The clutch disc consists of a metal disc covered with a frictional facing similar to brake shoes or pads ( I CALL IT CLUTCH PADS) The lining is made of a woven or molded non-organic material that also contains particles of soft metal such as aluminum or brass. This improves the strength of the lining and a series of radial grooves in the lining's face enhances the grip between the flywheel and the disc." Some clutches don't have frictional surface completely on the whole part. Some have spaces and make the frictional surface look like pads. ..."hing that can ruin a clutch is shock loading it". I've never heard of shock loading. Had to look that one up. I've never done that before.
