I guess we should definitely take advantages of the mountain ranges in orchid bay to make a great national park with valley bridges, steep pathways, camping sites and what not, in some episode. Great addition to build guide. People can take cable cars to reach this national park.
And on top of it make it public transit oriented, like a dedicated bus lane going to the top of the peak with a tourist attraction/trap for the elderly!

You might want to switch the platforms being used in Old Haven near Stockton Port 7:40 Right now you have two lines going to the same platform of a station which has 4 platforms available..
Amazing how satisfying it can be to sit and watch you draw transit lines, can't believe I spend an hour doing that now 😆I know Orchid Bay is a vanilla but I would've liked if you brought Toggle It in for this one episode, to toggle off the whiteness while drawing the lines, so we could see the all the builds better. So glad that does not seem to be a thing in CS 2 anymore.
How about a orbital train service route ? From Karen to the media center , via the James redwood station , facilitated by a new turning track near the holy waterfront . Would definitely get some use out of those stations . Great video
3:25 for me I don’t really think you should put your airport express stop in that station because it has two express tracks, and it would be more faster if it were to skip that stop rather than stop at. I think It will be a much more faster experience for the Sims trying to get to downtown if we just bypassed that station

I would defiantly change the airport train just to go between the airport and the downtown and let another train deal with the rest of the route! I also think the biofuel bus would be better for the biffa gardens - A.I district as i think that was in the brief. Also looking back i think the jiggly puff route utilized the newer double decker bus but thats only minor! 78 days to cs2!

I keep taking breaks between watching this series and it's amazing how big the city gets so quickly and it's somehow not a terrible looking mess, like everything I ever make :D Makes me want to add 100 extra hours to CS now.
You rarely do these nowadays but it was great to see! Love the public transport infrastructure!
The bus lines definetly need three "hub hopper" shuttles - OB Regional to OB International via Olive Square, Downtown / Karen to New Haven via Creasy Gardens, Downtown / OB International to New Haven via Downtown, Biffa Gardens - all of them stopping 3-5 times in between at the bus hubs.

Absolutely loving this series! I'm always excited to see new episodes, especially transit episodes. I would have liked to see a rail connection from the big passenger hub to Karen and Sharon so that those residents could get to the regional airport by rail. The tracks are already there, and I thought the connection was there previously but wasn't rebuilt.

I personally think a great name for the "angry woman named" towns would be Ruth or Cheryl. Not generalising, but every Ruth or Cheryl I've know have been the biggest divas going.
Nice video. I have been following this series for the last couple of months. I have been binge watching and finally caught up with the latest episode. Hope you recover soon from Covid. I am really excited for the small towns/villages that would be developed in the outskirts of the city. Kind of like a multiple villages/towns with spaces in between them, connected by a 2 lane country road. Small residential clusters with a high school, small utilities, some commercial and little bit of industrial for providing jobs to the communities.
Just wondering whether the James Redwoods station should have the trains stopping on the outer platforms to allow the through traffic down the middle

I was thinking the same thing while watching this! It’s a bypass station that have freight trains going through it so it would probably benefit from having the platforms changed to the outside ones ☺️

I never really gathered any problem with transit throughout the series. But this was a very enjoyable episode and much needed. It might be worth redoing the tram and trolleybus lines aswell. Most of the trams lines appear to have lower usage than they should and the network around Twochurch is a bit complex.

Love watching you play. It's definitely changed the way I play, making it more enjoyable! Just one wish. My husband has bought the game and every DLC and CCP but he has never built a city! Is there anyway you could do one more beginner's episode? If not, he'll have to start with CS2 (he has also purchased that).

Love the series Egg have been building along, but somehow I've hit the 65K citizen instances limit and now the city is slowing dying. Transit lines/hubs are dead, and there's no commercial/industry demand. New districts show 0 out of 0 workers. Also had to turn on unlimited money since it was loosing so much would have run out. Thinking was victim of some sort of bug where citizens are getting stuck somehow but don't know how or where to look. Been looking for a mod to increase that limit but doesn't seem to exist. Oh well really great guide, might just start over. Cheers! :)

@@OVERCHARGEDEGG Ty! Been researching broken nodes or paths and have come across mods that detect those issues. Tried them out and they don't seem to help. Broken nodes detector and transfer manager. Transfer manager seems to detect broken paths but doesn't release the 65K citizen limit. I'm open to trying anything. When are you usually in discord. And thank you for taking the time!
What if you created in that huge space next to Sharon a Transit Hub for your trains, buses, etc. You could make a huge rail yard to have a focal starting point for all your train lines. Creates an illusion that they can get maintenance there.
My transport networks never end up looking as good as yours. Love watching you work. Great increase in your transit numbers. At the start of the episode, you showed your traffic flow around 85%, what did it end at with the new transit changes?

Hey, Egg, got a question for you or anyone else who may be able to help. I am building along with this build and have the same bus station/road/quay setup in Creasy Gardens as you do but for some reason hearses cannot get to it and there is a perpetual dead person there? I am using mods but have no idea what could be causing it. Only bug in my build so far.
Also, I ran the %change calculation for your residents and tourists and got 35.89% increase for residents and the same value you got for tourists, so even better than 33.9% for residents! %change = (100((final-initial)/initial))
Could be a node, too close to another or dead and the hearse simply cannot navigate to the building. Hard to help without seeing it, if you join our Discord we can help there :)
