You have to add a swanky school around the new district, how can the precious rich kids go to school with the normal ppl :o Would be interesting to see an industrial build using AI too!
You may not have a golf course, but you could put the Driving Range in here, it would fit the vibe perfectly. You cant do high speed internet, but you could add the Free Wifi policy to this district to appease the AI overlords. Great build Egg!
I like that you point out that the higher quay gives the richer suburb some privacy, and then the final cinematics show us tall buildings looking down at the suburb from across the river. I really do want to live in this city.
I have no idea if it will look good but perhaps another way to make the height difference between the quay walls a little less drastic could be to use the multi level quay so you also get some people walking on a lower level closer to the water.
That is a possibility, I just find that the lower part of the quay needs to be with in a few feet on the water to actually look good. Idk if that will work here.
This turned out quite well in the end. Definitely agree with the Mall assets on the pedestrian area. Maybe you could add a bank on the corner so the rich people can get their money
i love this city. To be honest, it is not a build guide for me, its a vanilla city you play :) and i love it. Would be interesting, if AI could design a proper roadnetwork for a suburb
So I'm actually only on "developing an organic suburban waterfront", but I wanted to jump ahead and see if the city is still going. I'm gonna go back but it was neat to get a quick look into the future. Looking forward to watching the whole series 🍻
That was a really cool idea to let ChatGPT give you some parameters for the suburb. I'd definitely be interested to see what it would come up with for a industrial area, or maybe a park. The suburb looks really nice, great detailing work and matching up the suggestions from the AI.
What a fun approach! I've read somewhere that if start your initial question with some like "pretend you're an expert" you're supposed to get a far more detailed response. As a name suggestion I'd go for Garnet Cluster.
Small tip: If you angle the camera so that you're looking straight down you'll be able to place props and trees way closer to roads and other obstacles. Works like a charm 👌
For a name suggestion, how about something to do with OG Hollywood star Hedy Lamarr who also helped develop the foundation for wireless communication. Fancy glamour and WiFi combo.
Very cool idea to roll with! I work for the rich and they drive black, white and silver vehicles. Never do you see color for some reason!! Maybe make the buses black or white or silver? Great build and looks wonderful!!🤩
ChatGPT recommends the following list of names: "Here's a short list of potential luxurious suburb names inspired by words associated with AI: Synthopia Algorithm Heights RoboGlen Automata Hills Neuralcrest TechnoVista Data Haven Cyberspark AI Springs Quantum Oaks These names combine elements of technology, data, and artificial intelligence to create an aura of luxury and sophistication." I'm partial to Synthopia myself.
I feel like the district should have a name that combines AI and money, so something 'Green', maybe? Watson Green, possibly, after IBM's AI. Sounds prestigious and rich to me
Epoch Estates or Winter Fort! Epoch refers to the amount of times an AI model works through an entire dataset when it is being trained. Winter Fort since the high keywall makes the place look like a fort (maybe it was and the thing recently collapsed into a pile of rubble, causing the city to rebuild it into this high end neighborhood). Winter refers to an AI Winter. An AI Winter is period of reduced funding or research into AI. AI has actually been around for quite sometime, being hypothesized in the 40's with the first models appearing in the mid 50's. These low periods of research can mostly be attributed to a lack of computing power as well as data to train models. There is also the option of Winter Hill, which is a neighborhood in Somerville, Massachusetts. It was once home to the Winter Hill Gang, an organized crime group that lasted from the 50s to the 2000s. Maybe the Winter Hill Gang in this case is a bunch of AI Nerds that go around beating people up that aren't buying into the AI Hype and try to divert city funds into AI Research.
Cute idea using chatgpt, but to be honest this quality of build/list is usually implemented into all your suburbs/builds ;) I did really like green cities filling the space!
Great corner by the security station for a post office so the top hats can send birthday cards without leaving their private paradise. Also the socialites were all clutching their pearls when you added that footbridge, now any lowlife can saunter in unchecked! If you elevate a bit more of the bridge on the upper end and get one or two of those lookout towers right up against it, maybe that can serve as the pedestrian security check point? One last thing, please rename some restaurant opposite the suburb 'Eat the Rich!'
Another great suburb build. How about Chatgee Point for a name. ChatGee Pt. Kinda works, but there are some very clever suggestions here. Good luck choosing. 😅
Perhaps implementing mini buses could be a more efficient alternative to bendy buses! The development might be privately owned, and they might consider investing in some "low-capacity, high standard" buses to cater to the needs of the affluent elderly who are no longer able to drive and prefer a more upscale mode of transportation than standard buses🙂
Nice build. How about an observatory on the hill overlooking the suberb - playing off the CCT theme (who's watching the ritch?). Also, a single fully leveled IT building where many of them work, but nobody knows what they actually do - playing off the AI taking control vibe. 2nd the prestigious school for the ritch brats. 👍
Awesome idea and execution! Like some others have said schools would really help. I think if you follow that footpath right at the entrance to the whole suburb there's a space it leads to on the edge of town you could make a small education complex.
That new suburb is a giant cul-de-sac :o It absolutely needs a secondary road acces, even if its just for emergency sake - currently the only road access is also through an at-grade railcrossing and you have no fire or police service inside the suburb. Imagine the town centre caught fire and the emergency vehicles are stuck on a closed rail crossing -_- Maybe connect the city service area with the suburb via a pedestrian road? Emergency vehicles can use those but it keeps private/commercial vehicles on the main entrance road. Also there is definetly a small bank building and post office missing in the town centre! Eh... I think its missing a school aswell right? Should probably have atleast an elementary and a library.
Hal - the AI from 2001: A Space Odyssey that went mad Cyan - The shade of blue - and there's a lot of blue here in Orchid. Ideas of modern/future/tech are often represented by blue. The big chirper in the sky is blue. The bus line is blue. Halcyon - idyllicly happy and peaceful; also type of bird, often with blue tones. I humbly propose: Hal-Cyan Fields (or given the riverfront, HalCyan Shores)
Nothing adds more class than Blimps in your new area. "Why you need Blimps in your Cities:Skylines" video perhaps? The new expansion and DLC can't come soon enough. What needs addressing is the train problem out by the Fort Orchid industrial area. It's a huge mess. I noticed the same on your save file. It's a space issue that will be fixed once more tiles are opened up. That new warehouse with the trainline going through it would look smashing in that area. I can't wait for your tier video for the new maps, the videos you do for the new DLC/Expansion detailing the new additions. Exciting times for Orchid Bay!
There's two small things I think you should change 1. You know how the bus uses the clinic's parking lot instead of going straight? Make the road the pool is on a pedestrian road. It doesn't even go anywhere. 2. We now have 3 lane national roads in vanilla, that way they don't have to slow down so much
Where I used to live had a rail line near a few posh master planned communities (million dollar homes) so this seems absolutely normal to me! Love the build and the idea of using AI to help plan it.
Another great episode, and you have completed Skynets wishes to the letter, congrats! A suggestion though, could you swap the locations of the tennis courts with the community pool? The pool definitely needs some more breathing room and open air for full-day sunlight. And that way, the tennis courts are closer to the community gymnasium side. They should also leave room to put trees between the tennis and the Shooping Malls assets.
Love the build it looks very fancy! Maybe the one way road by the pool should be a pedestrian road instead? The one way into a bus only road doesn't make the most sense to me.
Nice build, but there are a few things missing: private school, elderly care center, bank, restaurants and caffes, bicycle ways, some trees behind the swimming pool so it does not stay back in back with blank walls of the shops and maybe a cinema.
I think you should have asked the AI for mire details. Rich people like unreasonable things, so I don‘t think a bus connection would cut it. Better have a dedicated monorail delivering this high class citizens to the mall. Also, the riverside with the elevated view would have made for an excellent upper class leasure park. Criticism aside, I love your videos, keep them coming!
Name suggestion: Elysium Grove. Elysium meaning a paradise reserved for the blessed and divine. Rich people arent really blessed but the neighborhood is definitely divine. Egg you dont need AI to tell you how to build....you are literally the best CS city builder on UA-cam. But seriously...this is so dope. I dont play on PC i only have console. I have remastered but they still havent added all of the DLCs and its missing a lot of important items i liked to use on the PS4 😩. Its just not as fun playing on the PS5 with only 9 tiles. Maybe ill purchase a PC one day.
I suggest "Eniac field", after the first general purpose computer. Secondly, those houses are packed together quite a lot to be a luxurious suburb. Still - a good build as usual.
That was a cool twist. I was wondering about one thing though, where you placed the Police station: wouldn't it make more sense if you placed it right across the street? so that the police cars could easily go _into_ the roundabout and, from there, on to any of its exits? Also, for the Internet service the AI suggested, maybe you could do a Post Office and mail network just for the district? I enjoy your videos, keep them coming.
No hablo ni entiendo inglés, pero desde que veo tus videos, lo único que entiendo es que me encanta verlos y que haces un trabajo increíble, bro. Saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴❤️
The suburb should be called Bot Grove. Also, there should be a train station in it, with a bus loop through the suburb that stops at the station. I think that one of the stations from the railroads of Japan CCP would fit in nicely.
I’d go with Skynet Shores…. Also that key wall is begging to be the 2 level one! And schools, medical/death care, bank, post service, etc. would probably be something a bunch of well to do folks would want. Lastly it needs a really ridiculous transit option, like a monorail perhaps that connects it to exactly one location (the mall?), and was a ridiculous boondoggle in the cities history, as this was promised to be a huge network branching out from here, but it only goes to one place.
I think the extra high quay wall actually gives more credibility to it being a higher income area. In some parts of the US, there are communities who build flood walls higher than normal to protect themselves at the expense of the others.
I guess to counter for the level difference between the two river banks, the ped bridge should go directly to the cliff on the other side with a side bridge getting down to the district down below without interfering with the lower river bank altogether.
I must admit my brain first thought of garbage instead of drainage as ‘waste management’. Maybe you could add a waste transfer facility too. EDIT: I see you were one step ahead adding the recycling centre at 22:50
been listening to a certain bbc radioplay from the 70s the last few weeks, so I'm going to go with "Marvin Meadows" for the new district. "I think you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed"
Loved the build soo awesome. Wanna see more ai centric maybe with Industrial build, like how to make a non-pollutive Industrial zone! And for the naming How about AI-Genedistrict or AI-Genistrict [Generation+District hence Genedistrict] ??
With reference to the central square and the imposing quay walls, perhaps the area could be named Grand Plaza Terrace… the initials of which also refer back to the AI Chatbot…
Maybe use the two-tiered quay walls to have them be able to "Stoop down closer to the waterlevel and level of pheasentry" - quoted from local resident of the Garnet District
Well, Egg definitely took the AI's ideas literally and it actually turned out really well. Yikes, what a weird future. I still prefer original ideas, but this certainly works pretty nicely if one cannot come up with any!
I’ve had some issues (note: I’m on console) with bendy buses getting stuck in busy roundabouts. I’ve been testing out more of the bus only lanes , whether in pedestrian areas like this video or highway express lanes. They can certainly be handy in certain spots and free up a city’s major intersections from those awkwardly sized (but beautiful looking) buses.
Introducing the Hal-Leonard 9000 luxury suburb. HAL 9000 is the (evil) supercomputer from 2001: Space Odyssey and Hal Leonard is the largest sheet music company, and music can be considered a luxury/luxurious.
I have to give a nod to a classic AI name... Skynet :) Also you could go more zombie classic AI and have the district named after the Red Queen from Resident Evil.

Even though you're not messing with the post offices, are you able to enact the internet/wifi policy for the district? That could be your "high speed internet"
Love the improvement today. For the AI themed name: 0R-CH1D 5H0R3S (ORCHID SHORES) - Replace O with zero - i with One - S with five - E with Three. Keep up the great work.
Was going to suggest Europa as the district name as it's the moon around Jupiter from 2001 a Space Odyssey and the whole HAL 9000 and seeing you used chatgpt. I dont know just something that popped into my head
About the name, I asked Chat GPT, and it recommended to call it "Silicon Heights". Would be a nice name idea. But by far the best name suggestion I got was "Cyberegg Estates"

Maybe, since you did it with the whole AI thing.. name it the "Turing District"
Awesome idea
Just what i was going to suggest!
I love this idea and to riff off of it and another comment, what about Turing Greens?
Turing Town?
Maybe the name could be just AI district.
I like that you point out that the higher quay gives the richer suburb some privacy, and then the final cinematics show us tall buildings looking down at the suburb from across the river.

I did really like green cities filling the space!
Skynet's impending overthrowing of society was assured with the ominous timelapse music!
So for the new suburb area for the security part you can put a toll booth at the entrance of the suburb as the gate!
The view from the other side of the river makes me think 'one man's gated community is another man's high security prison'.
nice build egg, was thinking a sauna and elementary and a high school would be a good shout too
Great corner by the security station for a post office so the top hats can send birthday cards without leaving their private paradise. What a very different way to use AI. I like what you did with it.
Thinking we rich people recycle our silver spoons is unreal. We never eat of anything less than gold
Name for the district... "AI see a suburb"
And i think to myself what a wonderful suburb
Perhaps implementing mini buses could be a more efficient alternative to bendy buses! The development might be privately owned, and they might consider investing in some "low-capacity, high standard" buses to cater to the needs of the affluent elderly who are no longer able to drive and prefer a more upscale mode of transportation than standard buses🙂
Yay, Monday!! It turned out very nice :) Very creative idea. Chirper was keeping a steady eye on you the whole time lol.
I'm ready to welcome our robot ai bird overlord!
Nice build. How about an observatory on the hill overlooking the suberb - playing off the CCT theme (who's watching the ritch?). I would have loved seeing youre creativity in that space, different episode. I enjoyed seeing you turn a.i ideas into something real!
A tongue in cheek name for either the whole place, or one of the streets, would be "Terminator Lane"
Nice build, but there are a few things missing: private school, elderly care center, bank, restaurants and caffes, bicycle ways, some trees behind the swimming pool so it does not stay back in back with blank walls of the shops and maybe a cinema.

I love how the new quay walls let the rich people look down to those plebs in the other side of the river. Jokes aside, Great build as always.
Should call it AI-los as a nod to one of the greatest CS cities UA-cam has seen
Namesuggestion: Botsville. You must tick the right boxes to enter :D
I think having some sort of “private school” in the neighborhood would be a nice touch.
This was a fantastic idea, can't believe nobody else I've watched used chatGPT like this yet
I’d go with Skynet Shores…. Also that key wall is begging to be the 2 level one! And schools, medical/death care, bank, post service, etc. would probably be something a bunch of well to do folks would want.

Don't mess with that AI Overlord. Thanks for another awesome vid
Great video idea! 1:48 district name: Chatsworth
Nice idea to use AI to help design the suburb. Maybe the suburb could be Orchid Bay-Eye
Lol! I like that name 😆
I think the extra high quay wall actually gives more credibility to it being a higher income area. In some parts of the US, there are communities who build flood walls higher than normal to protect themselves at the expense of the others.

Hey about public transport maybe you can add metro in city center in suburb that connect to the city?
What if you use cable cars for this? 20:39
I think you should add a train stop in the new district!
A name for the suburb could be "Wall-E-den" a play on the AI inspired design and a haven for the luxurious residents.
Loved the build soo awesome. Wanna see more ai centric maybe with Industrial build, like how to make a non-pollutive Industrial zone! And for the naming How about AI-Genedistrict or AI-Genistrict [Generation+District hence Genedistrict] ??
Great episode - you should have asked ChatGPT specifically to design a Cities Skylines suburb - I bet it knows CS.
I love Monday mornings!! Thanks for another fun build. 😊
With reference to the central square and the imposing quay walls, perhaps the area could be named Grand Plaza Terrace… the initials of which also refer back to the AI Chatbot…
One of the most entertaining episodes I've seen you make, well done!
Thanks mate 😌
Maybe use the two-tiered quay walls to have them be able to "Stoop down closer to the waterlevel and level of pheasentry" - quoted from local resident of the Garnet District
the one way street at the clinic leads to a bus only road. maybe you could change it to a pedestrian street?
Well, Egg definitely took the AI's ideas literally and it actually turned out really well. Yikes, what a weird future. I still prefer original ideas, but this certainly works pretty nicely if one cannot come up with any!
a little 9 hole course on the overlooking hill just past the track would be nice with a little club to boot
Looks fantastic you should consider adding a ferry stop by the path crossing
I really like how this turned out! Beautiful city!
This AI utopia needs some posh schools. Also, suggest connecting the pedestrian path crossing the river to the park under the stone bridge
I have to give a nod to a classic AI name... Skynet :) Also you could go more zombie classic AI and have the district named after the Red Queen from Resident Evil.
What if the AI only knew what to suggest after it watched your old tutorial videos?
Avercharged Igg District
Inspiring use of space, great content idea
Every time I see a hedgerow surrounding some grass, all I can ever think is how do they get to the middle to mow it? Every UA-camr does it.
Next time I'd love to see if an AI like Midjourney or Leonardo can design the suburb prematurely if you feed it the info from ChatGPT as a promt! (And maybe some extra info about the terrein etc.) I love the idea anyhow mate, great content! :D
Oh what a video to come home from work to. Yes OE!!
Re-cycled caviar?? :)
Did you change the theme to Boreal ?
28:32 the chirper balloon is always watching...
You should add the community school! I don't think that the posh people from the suburb would like their kids to hand out with other kids!
That suburb looks kinda nice!
'Cloud City' named after the first AI city from the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and Chinese tech company Terminus.
About the name, I asked Chat GPT, and it recommended to call it "Silicon Heights". Would be a nice name idea.
But by far the best name suggestion I got was "Cyberegg Estates"
The Swank District be a great name for this upper class suburb. It really has a feel of upper class dont it.
Aiwitnesses Burb (Eyewitnesses)
It's not a suggestion for the district, but the core intersection for the suburb should reference Hal 9000.
