I commented on his video not to bash, but to point out a flaw in his advertisement of a gold and silver group. However, I stand 100% behind what You've commented on here that we need to remain in union with one another. The enemies greatest tool is to separate and divide groups even within their own groups or cultures to wield power over them unawares. Pointing out a different point of view is not and should not be taken as bashing rather enlightening us to another perspective that we can thus learn from together. Whether one takes that knowledge as useful or not is completely up to them. That's the beauty of individualism that these crony gatekeepers as he calls them fittingly hate and want their collectivism to be the ruling statutes in our lives. Be well.

We lived in our house about a year and the well pump went out, we didn't have the money to pay someone to pull it, we looked it up on UA-cam and did it ourselves! We wanted a deck out back, we now have the biggest deck I've ever seen complete with an aboveground pool we got for free and put up ourselves, we've knocked down walls, installed tile and new toilets, we've built chicken coops ... All with zero experience, we took the time to research and learn how to do things and we did it!

I don't know if I mentioned on this channel before but as a kid, my dad built a solar heater for our house out of black painted beer cans and river rock. Cooked us out of the house-2 story-in the winter to the point that some days we had to crack open windows to regulate the heat, Had a small windmill on top of his Ham radio tower that ran our lights and fridge. He would remove the windmill in late fall and replace it with a giant wooden star that was covered in Christmas lights. Everyone in town loved it. These things can be done cheaply. This was back in the 70's.

We had a regulation 'runaround' with County code officials (damn I hate that word). We were building an addition to our home. Several aspects of our build were cited and we didn't pass inspection. Unfortunately for them, the officials were using an outdated code book..my husband was a construction superintendent then and he challenged their findings. He even had a licensed Architect (friend) sign off on the building plans and work completed. It was fun to see that those officials had to withdraw their paperwork against us.

It was a bitter winter. I watched DIY videos. I bought a replacement heater core. It was only 27 degrees out that winter morning. I plugged my electric blanket into an extension cord and draped on seat-to keep me from freezing while I leaned over-upside down for a few hours at a time and between breaks to replace heater core-without pulling entire dash. It worked great. I had several tell how awesome that was, even a few mechanics said they could never had done that. If you have a brain and can learn, you are Limitless

My husband is a master electrician. He was responsible for basically memorizing that NEC book when it came out every year or so. It's a law in the state we were in, that a current copy be on hand. That book cost over $200. Most of the code is something to make someone money. It's hard to explain, and yes, there's safety discussed, but many of the rules and regulations have something to do with making one of their friends money.

When our river house went under in 2017 we had to completely gut it.
To hire someone to rewire, re plumb, and remodel would have been outrageously expensive and out of reach for us. Spend hours and hours on UA-cam. Wired the whole house myself, replumbed the whole house myself, and remodeled the inside ourselves. Tens of thousands of dollars saved. Plus we learned so much.
Point is if you live in an area where you won’t go to jail to do so, DO IT. You can do it.

As an actual Electrical Inspector, I agree, for the most part.
Homeowners can learn to install their own electric adequately. It is difficult for a layperson to navigate the code, but there are plenty people online willing to help.
Unfortunately, some of the best locations for good advice are set up as a pro-to-pro discussion forum.
Electric is nothing to take lightly, and there are things in the code that I believe address very unlikely safety hazards (but ones that exist) that do more to help manufacturers make money, than keep people safe.
Just make sure you don't just listen to any yahoo on the web.

Adonai is a hebrew word for god.
Albert Pike’s book showed that Adonai is the evil-angel called Typhon.
      Nevertheless, your creator is, YAHUAH.
Praise Yahuah and his son, Yahusha!

My husband and FIL are not electricians, but they can wire a house...
Husband taught himself and built a solar system for our rv that worked perfectly. If you are smart and careful, you can figure everything out. "Codes" here in the US are crazy overboard, just to overregulate us and keep us from being self sufficient.

We are building our off grid home right now. We are working on our electric and waiting on our solar power system, which should arrive in a couple of weeks. This is our second solar project on our homestead. A year ago we did our barn and guest house. Solar on the homestead is very viable, you just have to not be addicted to all the conveniences of our society .

This is one of the reasons my husband won’t hire anyone to do any work on or around our house. 1. They will never do as good of a job, in today’s “moral” society, and 2. For the exact reason you said “ if you do it yourself, you can find the problem to fix it”. My husband is the “go to” guy to fix everyone else’s stuff, because he has always done it himself. It’s a great opportunity to learn and be more self sufficient. Also a great tool to have for bartering.

I did all the power in my home to code without a certified electrician grounding sub panel grid, it's all in the code books on the internet. The inspector came out and asked who did the work and said I've never seen a wiring job this clean! I told him I did it! Then, when I told him it was a third of the price! His jaw dropped. I'll never use a contractor.

Now, I make dry and smoked jerky DAILY, then vacuum seal it in Mason jars. I have approximately 4 year's worth of shelf-stable dried beef to date. I now use my All American Pressure Canner to make distilled water from captured rain and have approximately 2,300 gallons stored.

I grew up on a dairy farm in upstate NY. We had a tractor powered generator as a backup for milking the cows and cooling milk when the grid was down. We had a 3 way switch that allowed for the generator to power the farm without back feeding the grid. The same system could b used with solar panels and batteries to power a homestead. Also that would allow a homestead to generate power to the grid and be paid by the power company as another source of income. The power company would also install a back feed blocking switch to keep your panels from feeding the grid if it went down. If the grid went down you can just switch to your batteries and still have power without feeding the grid.

I'm in Fire suppression, I install fire sprinklers. NFPA is the code adhered to. However, it like ALL code only applies to commercial property. People need to learn these basic American principals and put these arbitrary self appointed deities in their places. I'll say it again, codes & ordinances DO NOT apply to private property.

Tell that to any building department that forces people to pay a fee to have them approve a set of plans that not only have to comply to the UBC (Uniform Building Code) but also now to the IBC (International Building Code). Many of the rules for division of spaces such as garages are based off of the NFPA codes and all testing of those products are overseen by the NFPA. It is all a follow the money and power trips people are on under the guise of "health, safety, and welfare". I am an Architect and have watched the codes creep in ever more invasively over the decades. My son is a fire sprinkler installer as well. You will have no shortage of work in the future - coming soon to every house near you.

@@karenc7476 I don't care for cpvc/residential work and avoid it at all cost. I will drop some knowledge here regarding your comment. Those codes you speak of only apply to commercial property. While "real estate" is being built and sold it qualifies as "real estate" (a commercial term) but once sold the property owner is under no obligation to keep it. It is no longer "real estate". I agree the commercial code is way over puffed up. It's all part of the communist manifesto

I'm an old lady and still do my own electric work. Just remember to shut off the power, main. My idiot husband had the code book and installed the whole house without a main breaker. Don't do that. Always install more than one way to shut off. As breakers can go bad, and not be obvious. Remove breakers from panel prior to attaching wires. Safety first.
