I live in a sparsely populated county of 15,000. Last week one of the local "bad boys" (there are a few) was found dead in a field shot nine times. Exited California in 2020 my home state after 60 years due to the chaos. Relocated to a small rural town on the Oregon Coast. I'm 65 years old, single granny. Worked 12 hours /6 days a week for a year to save $$ for the move. Difficult decision leaving my daughter (age 38) two grandsons (age 4 & 9) I begged her to move with me so her and the boys can grow up in a safe place. She declined. My friends and I loaded up the U-Haul towed my car. I cried like a baby as I left, not for the State but for my family. I drove 9 hours to my new home. My decision to live the final chapter in life in peace was the best ever. I was welcomed into the community where people respect one another and our environment. Politics don't play here. It's a patriot, all American hometown vibe here and I love it. If a 65-year-old single granny can do this. all you younger people sure can !

No way a disabled person trying to work will be able to have the strength and stamina to deal with this type of physical confrontation.
Crime is ever present in every society and has been this way since society existed. But rare are instances of societies where disabled people are attacked. Even criminals in most cases have had standards.
This is how far we've devolved as a society.

@@williamdavis9562 I agree. We have devolved and we do have a responsibility to have systems and people (the police and prosecutors) in place to help defend and provide retribution when predators prey on others. Unfortunately, too many in positions of power and influence are undermining all the things that made us safe in the past. Not that the past was perfect, by any means, but we have lost our commitment to a sense of law and order for the common good. Now, we are in a position that those who are able bodied must defend themselves and others, because the tradition law enforcement institutions either won’t or can’t provide the protection and service needed in a civilized society.

" I have to get away from this craziness ! I will walk out of this city and eat grass in the woods if I have to. Because I refuse to continue living like this." It wasn't easy to go against the "system" or the people in my life telling me what I should and should not do. Yet I have no regrets at all with the path I took. Yeah, five more years in the Bay Area. I'd like to move out of the state all together. I have multiple options, which is good. The state is too big, I don't think our founders could have imagined this would happen. You drive 3 hours outside of the Bay Area and it's still the same state but you are in a totally different world. California is it's own really, really messed up country within a country. Which isn't surprising considering the policies of our politicians. God knows we pay enough taxes here, why does it have to be like this? That's the question...because the rural areas have roads that aren't maintained AT ALL! So I don't want to hear the whole gas tax excuse about us being a big state with lots of roads. ...the whole thing is a mess and Newsom is just a cocky, elitist, frat boy. He needs to go.

When I was LE, the "criminals" paid attention to our work cycles/schedules. Like "When are these guys the most occupied?" Then during that time frame is when they did all their dirt. They knew our POVs, homes or general area, family, etc. That means... They were doing surveillance and collecting data.

And those who additionally have no foundation, no faith, and no true community will have even less hold on their sanity. A few years later I move to a university town in the Intermountain west. Many years later I bought a small ranch of about 90 acres. And have lived in small towns since. I now live in a small town in the Southwestern Appalachian's. I love it here. I'm on a 2 acre plot of land. Garden, chickens, yada. I would never live in a big city again. It's a tight community here. We have problems here like most town here have. We have homeless, addiction, petty theft and what not. But I live about two miles from downtown and it wooded and quiet. And I have family here as well. They too live in the woods. They have goats and chickens as well as 5 dogs. We all carry a firearm where ever we go.

Now, get this, more than likely, these teens are dependents of military here outside Fort Bragg. A month ago, a slow driving car flashed a weapon at me. I am not deterred. I go out in 2 hours. Look for smoke, exercise, walk the dog for his ears and smell. Good video.

We were forced to sell our home in Colorado April, 2022 (Peak of pricing) due to surgery and subsequent disability. We have resources and have "checked many of the prep boxes." We drove 12 states in the Midwest and ended up in Missouri (on purpose lol). We live in a "small city" (45,000 people). We live in a rough neighborhood, as we wanted to pay under 50k and not have a mortgage. You do what you've gotta do. We tried to buy "off the grid" but the right place just didn't present itself. So far, folks have gone from being standoffish to fairly friendly. I have a feeling people don't "poop where they eat" but time will tell. We are as secure as we can be. We trust the Lord, and like you, are well armed/trained too.

Zack you are absolutely right, I'm so glad i left the city to move to a rural country area to homestead, it's so peaceful out here, i wish so very much that my adult son will eventually consider moving out of the city of Cleveland, i worry for his safety all the time, i did make sure before i moved that my son who was then only 18 had means to defend himself and the proper training to do so, yes i bought him a gun, and now he's accumulated a small armory of his own, i never thought that he'd take to guns like he has but I'm very comfortable with that, he is a big/tall fella so no one is gonna want to go fist to fist with him, but i wanted my only child to be able to defend himself at all times because this world is absolutely insane, and it's soooooo many of the young kids that's out here involved in all this reckless violence, they have no regard for their lives let alone someone else's, it's absolutely disheartening, i hope i never have to harm a kid but if it comes down to their life or my own, well that decision will be made. You have to defend yourself and your family because the so called authorities are sure as hell not.

I moved from the east side of Cleveland's suburban area one year ago, to a rural farm in west Virginia, with more land then I ever could have dreamed owning, and a Walmart only minutes away (a cute little town). It's a culture shock, but in the BEST WAY EVER, I LOVE IT. my neighbors are the BEST PEOPLE EVER. I wake up every morning to the most beautiful place I've ever seen, drink my coffee on the porch to the sound of the birds, and go foraging in my woods, (found huge raspberry patches, wild grapes, we have nut trees, paw paw trees, and so much more). I feel like the luckiest person on earth honestly, and I'm grateful every day!!!!

Thank you for sharing this. I subscribed. The Lord told my grandmother and me to leave Philadelphia because the violence will increase. That was in 2002 when we started to fix up her home. The Lord knew that was a "seller's market" and we left in 2003.
She is with the Lord now and I am a only parent to my 4 year old daughter. This is the year I will get my "Protection" because as a woman with a daughter MUST NEVER BE A VICTIM.

He set a super lofty goal of what he wants us to have in our savings account before he will even start looking for land. We are only a quarter of the way to his goal. I legit just told him yesterday that he is guaranteeing that we will not survive because of his refusal to “take a risk.” He sees risk. Everything is paid off where we are and we have no debt. I am starting to think he sets impossible goals because he doesn’t truly want to move back to the country. This puts me in a position where I feel so very hopeless.

Back in the early times, stores kept the merchandise in the back warehouse type shelving area and had a long bar type area, where clerks would go get the items you needed from your list. They didnt have the wares and sundries like today out on displays and shelves...because people would just rip off what ever they could grab. This is not exactly a new idea to control people. I think that people couldn't rip off stores and just got into the habit of being good people, then over the past few decades that habit of being good person has deteriorated. Another aspect was, in those earlier years everyone had a fire arm, you knew they had one on them, so you didnt really mess with them. If you were a criminal you probably wouldn't be trying to rob others. So in that era people were much more respectable. Hollywood to a large part of painint the picture that olden times were violent and guns fights happened all the time, hence those countless westerns, but that didnt happen as they try to claim, because everybody knew that everyone else had a firearm. Yet now there is crime run rampant and these people are counting on one thing, that you dont have a firearm or personal defense method and to be quite honest, they are right because a large amount of people actually dont. And its funny because they try to use the UK as an example , but crime still happens with a butter knife, stabbings go on all the time. I have a ladyfriend who lives in Sussex England, she tells me all the time of stabbings that happen which is comparable to the gun crimes here in the states. That is no meter at all. And they have the same problem as here, people get guns illegal there to commit crimes, the criminal have them but not the honest good citizens. The media wont tell us that because the media wants this UK type governance of the people. Where they have the guns and you dont.

I just found your channel and your totally correct. I’ll tell you my plan for staying. My youngest is 17 and I can’t leave until she is graduated and 18 due to custody. I agree with you and planning for a collapse. I don’t think society will make it the year I need to leave. I moved as far out of the city as I could commute and my plan: 1 year of food and 4 months of water (stored) plus filters and reverse osmosis, generator for summer, hundreds of gallons of gas and half a dozen 100 lb propane tanks, heavy wood and hardware for window and door barricades, hundreds of sand bags, thousands of pieces of lead “jewelry” “for trading”. That’s so far. Will continue to increase that stock pile and working on a heavy steel room in the center of the house and even digging down if I have the time and money. And I’m in a red state with low crime and feel that’s the minimum to survive if things collapse. That’s my outlook. Prep prep prep

I've told my family to always be aware of their surroundings. Never get out of a car without looking around to see who is nearby. This includes going out of your house as well. This is why leaving in the country, off the beaten path having some good old hound dogs roaming around and armed to the tee is a good idea now. Criminals are less likely to drive out to the country and risk getting shot by country folks. The cities and suburbs are going to be total war zones.
