- To be honest, this video was just an excuse to do something "productive" with my now 25 hours of consciousness.
You can find all the mods listed here on the Curseforge website. I looked for versions of each of the mods that were published slightly before Create: Alloyed Guns was released to ensure version compatibility.

This strangely, despite all odds, feels like a proper way to do guns in vanilla. No fancy guns off the bat, no plastic, just some nice metal thrown together to make pretty basic guns.

There's also a mod called scorched that works with Create and MC's gun mod.

Scorched Guns does not change the textures and models of the original Mr. Crayfish's Gun Mod guns, however, and instead relies on a resource pack made by EndRage, the same person who made this mod.

This might be one of if not the best Gun mod I have ever seen, the crafting is spot on as well. The choice of guns and how they feel "achievable" in minecraft's time or historical setting is insane. I rarely play on my Java version nowadays since the boys can only hop on PE(Bedrock) and we've been using an equally great mod called "Radium Armament" the guns are great but they're not craftable yet. And seeing the crafting you've designed is quite mesmerizing.

@@KajtekBeary because with Valkyrien Skies you can use clockwork and physics not only on planes, which means you can use it to create tanks and ships
this is exactly what i've been wanting! a mod focused on old-timey guns like revolvers and muskets
and i love how the guns advance with create's level of technology so you're not running around with call of dutey machine guns in a rustic minecraft world, this is the perfect way to have guns in a more fantasy/rpg themed modpack/server imo
I suggest you to also look thé "archaic guns mod "
i like how this requires a lot of progression to get guns in the first place, but once you do get them, its comparatively speedy to improve them into better and better weapons. matches real life pretty well
Would like to see either a UHC or a "100 players make a civilization" type of video with this mod. Would be fun to see the dynamic of warfare as well as resource gathering.
Look up Igobylotsofnames and watch his 100 players civilization video (while it’s not the same mod, it still includes modded Minecraft warfare and it’s pretty interesting)
This mod looks awesome! I always liked the idea of a more steampunky themed firearms mod, but never seem to encounter any. It's a shame that both it doesn't appear it'll be updated anytime soon, and the fact is only available for forge. I use Fabric, mostly for performance boosts while using mods, but I'd like a lot trying this mod since it looks nicely balanced and fitting the steampunk-vanilla style I was looking for.

If you want a mod with more guns that are also steampunk feeling, try ~SCORCHED GUNS~. It doesn't have crafting recipes involving the Create Mod, but the aesthetics are there.
@@makomatoi I checked that out, and, yeah, that looks amazing aswell! It's still a shame that mcrayfish guns mod isn't available in Fabric yet tho (if it's even planned a Fabric version), thanks for the suggestion anyway!
Immersive Inteligence has some really nice guns too.
I think the only thing I don't like is how gun kits aren't craftable, I'll mark that as creative differences though. Looks nice!

I like that you can't craft it. Forces you to go outaidr and explore the world

plus some way to have a renewable supply of them in some capacity would be nice, even if still difficult to get or farm
I downloaded this mod and used it with other addons like Big Cannons, Areonautics and Valkirien Skies. It didn't end well 😂😂😂

**EDIT 2: I was. Very much not expecting this much attention on this video. I will try to respond to as many comments as I can, but that may get to be a bit hard.
There's not much to say. The mod tweaks the guns from Mr. Crayfish's Gun Mod, adds some new recipes, and changes the models to be more in line with Create's theming. I'd say a 7.5/10; there are some things that I would like different, however I understand how painful modding can be, and what's there works (mostly).
I love this mod very much.
I think it fits in create mod style so well
I even use this mod's guns instead of Mrcrayfish gus.

@@luxaeternum1390 I am not the mod developer. The mod developer is EndRage on Curseforge. On their profile, you can private message them, however I wouldn't count on them updating the mod, considering that all of their recent projects appear to be resource packs.

An indisputably productive use of your 25 hours of consciousness indeed! Adding guns to Minecraft usually just feels like a meme, an old joke if you will, but these seem to fit really well.
Main points, this mod is Well thought out, Perfectly Executed, Diverse Content, Balanced Recipes; Stylish and nothing seems off. best of all, I can see vanilla Steve making these guns, they somehow fit into the vanilla world of Minecraft. Actual 10/10 of a mod.
Now this mod looks amazing, only feature I would say needs some work is the reload animations and better magazine functionality.
The reload functionality issues are with the original Mr. Crayfish's Gun Mod. The mod developer is working on remaking the mod.
i was wondering why you needed redstone for the bullet casings and then proceeded to have a heart attack when i realized it was a primer
This is pretty neat! I've been developing a Create add-on called Create: Gourmet that's up on curseforge that's focused on adding new food recipes that would be fun to automate in survival. Although it's picking up some traction on curseforge, it currently doesn't have much coverage on youtube so it would be awesome to see a showcase of it! 😉
I'm always looking for new food mods that you can automate with Create, I'll be sure to check it out.

I checked out your mod and it looks great! Can’t wait for the 1.20.1 port, me and my friends are going to add it to our Create server. I’d love to see compatibility with mods like Farmer’s Delight or Brewin and Chewin too and my friend suggests French toast as a fitting meal to add. Keep up the great work!

I like how most gun kits can only be found in pillager outposts/mansions, feels in character for them. Like yeah, this is why they were outcast, they were brilliant engineers but used it to create machines of war.
Amazing work! Clear, concise, and clearly shows the crafting recipies and how much damage they do!
The loading and way you make the guns makes this one of the best lookin gun mods IV seen for some time great job! 👍
This is really well done mod showcase I love it.
The best fashion show I've seen, not a single word, everything can be read and not waste time listening, everything is done quickly(not counting the moment with the crafting of a sniper rifle), the crafting is shown completely and immediately the weapon is used on dummies that show damage, and then at the end a beautiful portal awaits, which after switching on, it sends it forward to new crafts. I hope that the creation of the video did not take much time, because otherwise it will greatly exhaust the author of the channel, which is why we will not see these new wonderful videos for a long time
Other than the reloading on some of the magazine fed guns not making sense this mod looks pretty good

I've been trying to find gun mods that doesn't have modern guns, I gave up finding those back in 2018 and then this appeared in my recommendation, couldn't thank you and the algorithm more
Create: Alloyed Guns, ~SCORCHED GUNS~, and the Old Guns Mod all have older themed guns! Scorched Guns gets a bit more into the fantasy, and Old Guns is very much historical.

I understand how difficult it would be to make proper reload for these things that interact with the models and whatnot but it still hurts my soul to watch you jam bullets into the grip of a revolver and directly into the firing mechanism of a sideloading automatic

Cause its not as easy as throwing together some raw resources
There was a mod for 1.12 that had flintlock weapons that I enjoyed quite a bit. You had to manually reload each gun by placing the bullet and gunpowder into the crafting table together; this emulated the slow reload of single-shot smoothbore weapons very well, in my opinion. Was hoping for something like that so I could then create an insane mechanism where I auto-loaded my guns by placing down a complex part and then picking it all back up mid fight.

We've come a long way from our 1.9 raids on superflat testificate villages with our pixelart M4s or our JPEG AKs I genuinely hope we get some form of vanilla firearm action one day I remember being hyped for crossbows. A bazooka like that would be so damn cool for genuine raiding content if it's only able to destroy doors.
This would be cool for a tech modpack that incorporates create. Although for a create centered modpack, i would go for mr crayfish guns with the create style texture pack and a resource pack that changes the crafting recipes to use mechanical crafters instead.
Wonderful mod, will try it out. I like that you have to explore to find the kits so guns are restricted behind an exploration goal. However, I think that for servers or long term play having to find structures to create more guns may become tiresome. I propose some method of duplicating kits once you have found them. Maybe you could mimic the new armor trim duplications in some way where it takes one trim to make two trims? I love the mod, please keep up the good work! Hopefully the guns mod this is based on gets updated in a way that helps you out too!

I'm actually planning on adding other methods of obtaining the kits, having to do with patrols n raids n stuff. I want to make the players work for their firearms, instead of just shooting up the tech tree.

Reloading what's clearly a revolver by shoving bullets into the bottom of it makes be feel a way I cannot describe without getting banend.
A problem with the Mr. Crayfish's Gun Mod that this mod is built off of.
The fact this loads from underneath and not the side where the mag is bothers me beyond belief 4:09

I think using the already existing piercing enchant might be better than the colateral enchant you added.
And if you feel like the max level pierce is too op with the guns then just put it a one level.
That being said I really like your extention and the fact that goes from early game to late game is nice! :)

Also I love how create mod stuff really is minecraft friendly, I also love that the guns go from muskets to rifles and SMGs.
What an amazing idea to add some late 1800' early 1900' guns to Create!
I like the implementation and the production processes, but I feel like using a crossbow as the stock/trigger mechanism base for everythin, not only the flintlocks, is a missed opportunity to add separate craftings, or other minor things like using zinc nuggets for bullets when there's already iron nuggets or you could add steel nuggets to make that process a bit more realistic, I also like the idea of having to acquire the means to make the fireatms by exploring, even if maybe even finding some sort of gunsmithing book could be another idea
Aside from the animations not being tailor made for every gun it's looking awesome already, although the minigun being four rifle caliber STENs strapped together is goofy as hell, if every barrel is fed by an ammo feeding device there's no need for the barrels to spin (which is how the Gatling/minigun/vulcan feed every barrel with one source of ammo on the gun in fixed spot), maybe this could be changed by having a double barreled machine gun using two automatic rifles (think of a big Villar-Perosa M1915) and having a separate gun which is _the minigun/gatling,_ it would not only need the gun itself but also the ammo supply to be manufactured, and there could even be two different types like having a hand crank-operated one (longer startup, less accurate) and a more complex one which is electrically operated by a motor (this one is better but slows you down)
Other than some minor complaints it looks incredible, love it and love the attention to details
The point of the stens just being duct taped to a motor is cuz its a meme gun, its also a inside joke so of course it doesn't make much sense. The animations are a limitation of MrCrayfish's Gun mod so theres not much I can do there.

The _minigun_ is very goofy but welcome nonetheless, and yeah I did get that from the overall feel of the weapons, I don't know about MrCrayfish's mod specifically either, does he not have any kind of separate animation for anything that isn't muzzle loaded or has a standard magazine configuration?

Here we have a flintlock, a musket and a Stargate apparently.
The only bad part about the mod is locking non-crude gun kits to pillager outposts and mansions.
You can easily make each tier feel special by just using the classic "use a number of the previous tier plus a new material to make the next tier" method of progression.

if the gun kits are like armor trims in that you can craft more once you get one, i think that's really cool, but if you have to explore like 8 different pillager outposts for one minigun i think thats a bit excessive
Damn, imagine to make a Big War with mods like Big Cannons, Aeronautics and Valkirien Skies and Aloyed guns where here will be atleast 250 people at the server, on each side here will be 125 people. It will be the most exciting War ever.

My only complaint is that the machine pistol and automatic rifle individually load rounds instead of loading a single magazine and charging them via slide or charging handle

very naturally implemented into the game. There’s no over-reliance on new ores or resources and they’re not obscenely overpowered from the looks of things.
