We are diving back into the Japanese mini truck today and removing the transmission. I did some research and found that the transmission inn these mini trucks have fourth and fifth gear in them but the gear selector rods are extra long to virtually “lock out” fourth and fifth gear. To remedy this issue you rave to remove 3/8-1/4 inch of each shaft to allow the shafts to move properly. If your doing this job along with us get your silicone of choice out and let’s get down to it.
