When we did that on our FJ40, we had to use both hands. (On two people) to hold up the transmission …..
It was heavier than 25lbs……. ;-)
When I first saw the transfer case on my super carry, the first words out of my mouth were, “look at that frekin‘ thing, it’s adorable!”

Good luck! My engine removal video probably has a clearer picture of how the transmission comes out because it was actually attached properly before I did this

Just watched the full Carryccino build to date. Good to see it, just got a DD51T, and have had a Cappuccino previously, so it was my very first thought 🤣 Obviously on the DD51T, there's the whole 4wd stuff to consider, and the engine is under the seats, not the bed, so the height thing is a much bigger concern.
That got me to thinking for solutions though, and I think my best solution may also benefit your build, as it would allow you to lower your bed height.
Why not lower the engine down 2 inch? All you would need is 2 2x2 bits of steel tubing to sandwich between the engine mounts and the frame, same for your gearbox mount, and voila, all done.

Excellent. This Sunday's video is my struggle with the cluster physical swap 😆.
I considered lowering the stuff but the concern is losing ground clearance. I could also lift the truck while I lower the motor, and tranny. It's just weird to have the bed height so high relative to the cab.
It's definitely not an easy go with the 4x4 but the RWD makes this easier.

My Suzuki carry shifter is loose any sloppy. Have you ever replaced the bushing on your truck?

I was looking at the bushings since it's a similar set up to my Suzuki Cara. I have made carbon fiber nylon bushings to replace the ones in my Cara it should easily be resizable to fit the Carry as it's the same design. Something for later to tighten that up as mine are ruined

Great videos! Can you put a turbo on a 2000 Suzuki Carry (F6A) DB52T? Was it a noticeable difference in shifting after you changed the clutch?

I don't see why you can't. Are those carb or EFI? I haven't gotten to drive on this yet. The wiring isn't finished for me to even fire it up yet. Almost....

    I Have a question
    Can we swap a 465q3 1ae1 DFSK 1.1 engine with F10A suzuki engine ?
    Thanks in advance

I have no idea, never seen those ones before. Anything would work as long as it fits and you make mounts for it. My swap just works easier since it's the same block so the mounting holes are there.

0 you might need the other one that shim is for the starter

    • @AnythingWheeled
      @AnythingWheeled  9 місяців тому

That shim is for the Cappuccino it came out of since it mounts on the motor side. The Carry mounts the starter on the transmission.
