From poorly edited trailers which seem to summarise the whole plot of the movie to having absolutely no connection with the audience while promoting. Our film industries should realise how important the pre release stage is
Especially after Fighter, I was wishing that this need to promote the film through music videos has also reached its saturation point. Especially when they're high octane action films. Just deliver a solid trailer vs trying to mimic the model of what worked with the spy universe

Even Priyadarshan stated in an interview how he was fed up with the producers of Hera Pheri.
They shot a song without his knowledge, wanted more songs and wanted the film to be an action thriller rather than a comedy.
But thankfully Priyadarshan didn't allow that and the rest is history.
Priyadarshan moved on from comedy and in malayalam he actually made good movies. Remakes or not, compared to his hindi movies, his malayalam movies are world class cinema, that's how bad his hindi movies are. Producers wanted Hera Pheri when every director in their career changes. Hope priyadarshan doesn't work in hindi cinema, it's obvious he doesn't like it.

Chup chup ke (Shahid and kareena), Bhool bhulaiya 1?
Hungama and Bhulaiya are remakes but Hulchul and Chup chup ke are not..
And all these movies are so iconic ,epic comedies that they feel fresh and good even today..All these movies are made with Amazing cast of handpicked actors and good music album (Bhul Bhulaiya's album being the best of these all )
And you have the audacity to say that his Hindi movies are bad ?😂

@@lalalalala9003 I think he is referring to his critically acclaimed non comedy films like Kaala Paani and Kanchivaram, which won the National award for best film and few international awards.
Hungama, Garam Masala, Hungama 2, De Dhana Dhan, Maalamaal Weekely, Muskurahat are actually his films in Malayalam which were remade.
Bhool Bhulaiaya, Hulchul, Chup Chup Ke, Hera Pheri are remakes of other Malayalam directors films.
Priyadarshan's best comedies in Malayalam from late 80's/90's have not even been remade by him, only he knows why.
Oodarathuammava Aalariyam, Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, Aram + Aram = Kinnaram, Chitram and his best one Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu which is full comedy in every scene from start to finish.

This is the reality of every industry....we have to accept it.

The whole concept of the original was the dynamic of one-upmanship between Govinda and Amitabh where they constantly tried to outshine each other. There seems to be no such dynamic at play in this one. Thats why it all feels mundane and average. Even the songs are basically them dancing together and having fun like buddies.
The quality of the remixes is decreasing daily. It's a shame that we're seeing a decrease in the amount of effort put into Bollywood songs nowadays. The memory of A.R.Rehman during the making of Gajhini album is still vivid in my mind.

Throughout 30yrs of his career leading the industry with his impeccable acting n great star power still Akki not getting even a decent marketing team for his films unlike other stars really baffles me a lot. Even Airlift, rustom, OMG2 were released with lower hype but performed extremely well at the box office. Its high time that Akki chooses good team as well, not just a good director.
he is akki... he is people's actor..he is not a businessman politician like hakla who plays all kind of cheap tricks like corporate booking, screen share manipulation, bribing youtube reviewers etc to make his movie hit...
akki was relevant, is relevant and will be because every 2000s kids grew up with his movies...
his movies are childhood memories of many of us...
The only reason I can think of for the promo event in Lucknow - govt. pressure. UP is looking to set up a huge film city in Noida like Mumbai and get Bollywood to shift its work to UP.
Going by how Akshay has been praising the ruling govt and keeping his mouth shut about petrol prices as compared to his earlier statements, he was probably ordered to do this event in UP for the Noida film city thing to get some momentum.

Absolutely Agree with the Opening Statement and BMCM team should also remember that they are clashing with Maidaan , I know they are two genre of films but still it could affect the business of any of the film.

Like they could have showed how tiger is over energetic and while akshay being old but has that experience that aged like fine wine, in the mv we could have gotten a tiger dance break and akshay stopping him midway and doing a little groovy moves and teaching him how to do it.

It's because of SRK being loved by masses and his fan clubs are crazy and Boycott helped them a lot.
If it was Akshay , the movie would have tanked , it's srk factor which generated the hype alone and then jim and Sid Anand filled in

It was SRK being introduced in YRF SPY UNIVERSE with an action film (which he hasn’t done before in his life) after a film presence gap of 4 years with John Abraham announced as the villain with WAR being the last film directed by Siddharth Anand (WAR was the highest grossing Indian film of the year) and on top of that there was a strong rumour on social media that both SALMAN & HRITHIK might appear in the film.
And also Pathaan was the first stylised action mass crazy movie coming in Bollywood straight after WAR in 2019.
Hence the result we got. There was sooo much mystery around the Movie ‘Pathaan’. 😌

These stars take away half of the the film's budget which leaves very less money for the things that actually matter in a good action film i.e VFX, Well Choreographed Action & a popular soundtrack.

Um Akshay was entertainer tbh , always was , didn't get th star tag for long , yes he had hits streak but that star tag is different, any star won't have 2 cr opening or 14 flops , or 6 flops (after 2021 to 2023) , he's good at comedy and 90s action , should have sticked to those , rather than remaking avg products, star tags should be given to only Salman srk and Aamir only , their avg films even generated 100 crs both net and overseas, but Akshay don't have that tbh
A superstar movie earning a 100 crore is nothing big these days, their movies gets a wider relase and a single multiplex have 15-20 per day shows of their films. The production cost itself is so high due to a superstars fees that even grossing a 200 crore will be no beneficial for the movie
A lot of actors and actresses from the 1990s need to retire and new actors, directors script writers need to enter the industry

Agreed. Fighter is by no means a "flop" but the marketing really damaged its overall collections . It was a sure shot blockbuster, but now it huffed and puffed to a semi hit(maybe hit as its still running in theaters).
The opening weekend collection is mainly from fans. Fans of the stars will show up regardless.
Then Monday onwards, it's the general public who watch. If the movie isn't marketed well, then they won't show up.
Consistent marketing material which is consistent with the product. Nobody seems to have learnt what good looks like (ie Animal)
Why doesn't Akshay Kumar returns to what he does best comedy
he has got many in the pipeline but they just seem like projects with getting in as many artists as possible vs having an interesting funny script

If the movies are produced by POOJA ENTERTAINMENT then we should be VERY CAREFUL about the product. Example :- Cuttputli, Ganpath, Youngistaan, New Coolie No 1, Mission Rani Ganj, Bell Bottom etc

Hi. I'll be honest. I watched it on the opening weekend and struggled to appreciate it beyond some of its visuals. I also thought that my negative review would do a huge disservice to the years of work that have been put on the project. It being crowdfunded initially, going through the pandemic, the several reshoots. I did not want to be the drop in the ocean that deters its progress (of whatever little it did have) in any way because I could see what has gone into making the film. This is where I felt its best to take a backseat regarding this one because my assesment was largely negative.
Bro I have seen you have commented in every review of @triedandrefusedproduction but the thing you need to understand that after Salaar review where jammy changed the thumbnails to please SRK blind fans backfired on him he doesn't want his image to get bad.... Promote your movies in your own states and make it critical acclaim over there.. As Jammy won't understand the cultural intricacies of Telugu States.. As you know Jammy is a PR of Bollywood movies... and he heavily relies on Social Media for his judgement..

You are absolutely right. This type of promotion is not helping at all. Teaser was great, but after that everything seems to be rubbish publicty material.
Why can't they just hire actress with age close to Akshay
Because actresses close to his age wouldn't settle with being arm-candy. They would want their own meaty role and high payment than the younger lot of actresses, who are just looking for some screen-time to be able to create their appeal among audience.

Sometimes I really feel bad for other regional films because compare to Bollywood they have limited budget but still they come up with original stories with good product but they will not get appreciation what they deserve.
There are three types of movies I have seen in Bollywood.
First - Make a movie for the sake of movie. Eg. YRF Spyverse, Rohit Shetty's extended Police universe.
Second - Make a movie to tell a compelling story. Eg. 12th Fail, Drishyam, Ludo, Masaan.
Third - Take a Gener and mix everything you can think of. Amalgamation of all the social commentary at once. Eg. Jawan.
I'm hoping for the day when directors and producers will thrive for story first and movie aspect later. Thank you 🙏🏻

Well, I neither have any expectations from this movie nor any plans to go and watch it. In fact, tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar (after his no-effort endeavours) are one of my least favorite actors. But coming from Lucknow, I have to apologise for that slipper-throwing reaction from the audience. They didn't deserve that. Sad to see it.

I hope they do justice to the Prithviraj's i think as if he is the x factor and only thing which can save the, hope the makers don't waste the opportunity of utilising his talent and aura 🤞

Am really rooting for Akshay sir to make a Comeback. But he needs to slows down a bit now. His misconceptions of Quantity over Quality is so outdated. Ok we know that he can do a Raksha Bandhan, then pull of Samrat Prithiviraj, then do Cutputliee and then again and again.... But all the above performances are Under-whelming and he should also be very choosy with scripts and the director he is gonna work with at this part of him career.
To be honest, Noone give a Shht about Bade Miyan Choote Miyan.... Movie ka Selling point kya hai? Action accha hai... Jawan Dekh leta hoon... Action hero hai dono cast mein... War dekh leta hoon... Ali Abbas Zaffar is directing? ... Didnt he just give Bloody Daddy? ... It has PrithviRaj (a South Superstar) as the villain... Ohhhhhooo Salaar dekh leta hoon... Its movie about Army Officers... really? Doesnt look like that to me. In the trailer, they have shown just this.
Miss Akshay sir collabs with Priyadarshan a lot. Miss those time where Akshay sir can pull off Rowdy Rathore as well as a depressed guy in Patiala House... Miss those days when he did Airlift and then also made Housefull 2,3 and don't know what...
He is a action hero. He has the best comic timing. Why dont he make a good Action - comedy movie... There is hardly a good action- comedy movie in India.
Also Anmol ji, Mast Malang Jhoom is not catchy at all. Jailer ke gaane ki yaad aa gayi Kavaalaya wala song.
Also, why would someone like to see a 50 year old actor dancing similar to Nattu Nattu moves? You got Tiger .. ok ... Give him a Separate sequence as he is Hrithik level dancer. Why make Akshay dance like a Drunked Uncle? Also. Akshay Kumar can dance well... Bala. Bala .. and Sauuda Khara Khara... Are examples.
Akshay Kumar's fake moustache is really distracting for me. He has phobia of committing for a role or what, it literally takes around 15 days to grow a moustache and most importantly why give that character moustache at all if akshay doesn't want to grow real moustache, as it's a fictional character. It's really irritating.
Maybe Akshay should step away from films for a while and do business. Its getting embarassing and out of hand.

Bro can you please see the new Telugu movie named GAAMI which released in theatres it is just amazing. It is not like a regular Telugu or an Indian movie as well.
But small caution is it's very slow paced and can test your patience in some parts but the climax twist will make sense of why it was slow paced.
Do check it and support that movie as it is a crowd funded film and they made it for 6 years.
